Such a good place for Micheladas & fresh seafood! Definitely recommend for a good michelada they are huge sizes & even the regular one is a big size cup with cucumber & Jicama & sauce on the rim. The other Michelada options are good as well & have such variety even some with shrimp! Prices are great & the staff is friendly. Interior is very clean & lots of seats. I've been to two of their 4 locations (Kuykendahl and Rayford spots) and their food was consistently fantastic at both locations. Their ceviche is SO good and fresh. It's not fast food, they make it to order. So don't anticipate the order in 60 seconds. It's a few minutes to prepare (not long at all) but you can taste the quality and I appreciate it's not all premade. Each store has a unique flare to it, and the staff is really polite and attentive at both. Lots of options on their menu too!! This isn't just ceviche! The seafood always tastes fresh. Personally I feel like they go a bit heavy on the line juice but overall it's good. Service (3/5): I've only been here twice and the staff are always really nice. The second time we went they weren't serving any hot foods which was a bit disappointing as that really limited what we could order (I was really hoping to order their Baja tacos). The first time I went, I ordered the mixed ceviche. Given that we could only order cold foods I decided to try the mixed aguachile with jalapeños and my fiance ordered the cocktail with jalapeños to go. I love the shrimp and fish agua chile and my wife loves the regular fish (basa) ceviche. My kids also really enjoy the kid's shrimp and chicken kids meals. For us, it's a must-stop when we're nearby. I ordered the hell spicy aguachile with shrimp and the cucumber lime agua. honestly it was mid. maybe my expectations were high due to the good reviews but I felt it was missing something in the flavoring (it was not in fact hell spicy) and also there was barely any avocado in my order compared to what is advertised. won't be ordering the aguachile again, maybe next time i'll try the tostadas. on the other hand the agua fresca was good, could use a bit more lime but that's just my preference. read more

I walked in and had a warm welcome from the staff. I took a few minutes to look over the menu. I ended up getting the Cabo nachos. It's enough for 2 people for sure. The only bad thing is they close on Monday, we love the place that if we crave it in Monday we have to wait until Tuesday. This place is a successor to TJ Baja Tacos and Very Fresh Ceviches and Snacks. They are now back in a restaurant-size space. I came in the other day to give their new venue a try. Ordered a Diabla shrimp tostada and a pineapple agua fresca. You order at the counter and they bring the food to your table if you eat in. Service was polite and everything is made fresh so there's a little wait but it's well worth it. The shrimp in the dish is popcorn shrimp. They were perfectly cooked and fresh, with a nice snap. They offer mild, medium or spicy heat levels. I would say the overall spice level is low. I'm above-average sensitive--I ordered medium and just barely detected any heat. If you like your spice, order it spicy and maybe tell them to amp it up some more. The dish was a beautiful warm shrimp salad--lots of shrimp, lettuce, tomato, avocado, and other flavors with a tasty diablo sauce. Nice savory flavor and a good boost from the sauce. The tostada was crisp and firm enough to pick up if you wanted, though it is piled high so I ate it with a fork. The pineapple agua fresca was tasty and refreshing, not too strong but with great fruit flavor. Went very well with the meal, They also have horchatas, smoothies and shakes. I've had their corn snacks in the past, and they are an excellent afternoon pick-up. The mix of corn, cheese and spices is very satisfying. The interior is very attractive and goes perfectly with the seafood theme. Those who visited TJ's may remember that the interior was quite elaborate--not quite so much so this time, but more restful with some very nice artwork. The bathrooms had just been cleaned so were of course ready to go. The food is priced for fresh chef creations--my lunch set me back $23 but it was well worth it. This is a seafood place, first last and always--no non-seafood items on offer unless you count the brisket options on the kids menu (so they'd probably make an adult-size version if you wanted), and vegetarian options are limited to the corn snacks. If you are looking for Mexican seafood this is the place to go. read more
