A friend and I came here for afternoon tea recently and we adored our experience! The shop is so cute -- I love the teas lining the walls and the subtle nods to Alice in Wonderland. We actually had the place to ourselves since it was 11am on a Thursday, which was lovely, but I do hope the shop gets busier sometimes since they deserve to! It's tucked away inside Ovation so perhaps people just don't realize it's there. I liked that there are a variety of tea services to choose from, and everything is individually done, so your party can enjoy different high tea experiences if they choose to. My friend and I both selected the classic tea, which included a scone, four sandwiches, and a variety of desserts, plus a pot of tea. I chose the Birthday Tea, which was floral and delicious, and presented in the most adorable elephant-shaped teapot! There was so much food we couldn't finish it all. I especially liked the smoked salmon and the egg salad, the chicken salad was a bit too dry. The scone was tasty and the cream was delish. I would highly recommend coming here for afternoon tea, especially since it's fairly inexpensive and the service is fantastic. I can't wait to go back!

For celebrating my end of radiotherapy, I take my dear neighbor to a high tea time. It is the affordable tea room in Los Angeles, and it is worth! The food is tasty, the tea I got was really good, the ambiance is cute and cozy, the service is great, friendly, you can spend time slowly. I think bit is a hidden gem in the middle of crazy street of L.A.

Hundreds of teas to choose from! Cute space and best part is that you can order a pot of tea to drink with some food for a legitimate afternoon tea session! I'd make a reservation ahead of time just because it can be busy at times. I ordered the Celebration Afternoon Tea and it comes with a good amount of food: soup/salad, scones, sandwiches, and sweets! I was full after so worth the price! I went with the Birthday Tea which was a lovely floral black tea and paired well with the foods. Loved the teapot and all of the fancy plates. Definitely try it out and great to do before a show in the area!

This place is all about the tea and the tea selection is phenomenal. And who knew there was a tea called St. Marc and that it was super delicious?! I shall be getting some of that soon. We wound up doing the afternoon tea service and it was delightful. Comfy atmosphere, great service and some of the best teas we've all had. The food is good, but I did have some issues with the sandwiches. We all really loved the scones and jams and the other sweets, and while the sandwiches all tasted fine, it was way too much white bread and not enough filling. I usually don't eat white bread anyway, but if I am going to, I need a lot more in between the sheets, as it were. That's really my only gripe. I would come back, but maybe just for tea and scones.

Loved our experience! Calm, beautiful and yummy. Greatly enjoyed the Halloween special. Only note was that the Halloween scone was a little hard but was very yummy. Alexis was absolutely love and so thoughtful. Fantastic service. Look forward to visiting again

Good enough for me to give 4stars. Not much impressed with the service. Tea was great and sandwiches were okay. Scone was good and love the chocolates. Been here couple of times but my first time was better than this afternoon.

Loved coming here! Delicious tea sandwiches, Christmas decorations set a wonderful ambiance for Sunday brunch before the holiday and the woman working went above and beyond for our friend's birthday celebration. Definitely recommend

This was a shockingly bad afternoon tea service. From plastic plates, to rotten vegetables, to pathetic desserts

    Celebration tea service

Came here to celebrate our anniversary and had the Celebration Afternoon Tea. The food was surprisingly filling, and the Mauritius tea with the warm scones ended up being our favorite part of the whole set. It was our first visit, and Sam was the one who helped us. He was super friendly and welcoming, made a few suggestions that actually ended up being spot-on, and checked in without hovering. Really appreciated that. The place is clean, cozy, and has a comfortable vibe for just sitting and enjoying tea especially since it was raining out today. We'd definitely come back and would recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxed tea spot. There's plenty of street parking and shopping in the area once you're done with tea

We celebrated our friend birthday at Chado tea room at Hollywood location. Everything was very organized. Loved the variation of the teas, heaven for tea drinkers like myself

I'm a big afternoon tea kind of girl. I have my favorite place but have been wanting to branch out to find new places so decided to check out Chado. Beautiful interior highlighting their vast tea selections and tea pot collections. We opted for the chado afternoon tea service with lavender earl grey and lychee green tea - both delicious and the green tea served in a glass pot garnish with beautiful florals. We added the tomato basil soups because of the high remarks and it was tasty but the side of untoasted thin white bread left me wanting more. As for the sandwiches I think a better thicker bread could give them more substance. The sandwiches are the same thin white bread making for a very thin sandwich. My favorite as for flavor was the punjab egg salad. The scones were good but very dense, I started getting full on those and decided to move onto eating the sandwiches before I completely maxed out. Overall a very cute place but sandwiches need some work :(

This was my second time visiting a Chado Tea Room, but my first time at the Hollywood location! I booked a reservation weeks in advance, and luckily, it wasn't too busy because it was just our luck that our reservation landed on a rainy day. The customer service was great; just like how my first visit was at the Pasadena location. The staff were so attentive and accommodated to our dietary needs. My friend and I enjoyed a good tea time. We got the Chado Afternoon Tea Service, and to be honest, the food wasn't like the most special thing in the world, but it paired well with the teas that we chose - Butterscotch and Earl Grey Imperial. The Butterscotch was deep and sweet while the Earl Grey Imperial was light and floral. My favorite food items in the Chado Afternoon Tea Service were the scones with strawberries & cream and the Punjab sandwich. Also, the ambiance, china, cutlery, and decor of the place really elevated the whole experience. In my opinion, Chado Tea Rooms are on the more affordable end for tea rooms around LA, so I'll definitely return for another special occasion!

Cute ambiance you can sit inside or out. I was there for an event so not sure if they have gluten free items. That wasn't offered so I didn't get to sample any eats. The teas are amazing. The smoky black tea was a surprisingly delicious treat. The tea settings are just stunning and staff goes above and beyond.

Our scone had mold on it. It was disgusting. I wanted to like this place but the tea was horrible. I would never go here again.

Sunday mornings were sacred in our house, my dad would always bring some for breakfast. We tried it from so many different places in LA over the years, so I know what real khachapuri should taste like. I've now had it from Oui Melrose (2 days in a row ), and honestly, there are no words for how incredible it is. The menu is not complicated or very large, and has a specialty item like a stuffed bread with different options named after possibly the founder of the restaurant. Khachapuri is the item, but we did not get it this time. We got a Chicken Ceaser Laffa wrap as well as a Chicken Parm and Bolognese sandwich. They did not take very long to get prepared and brought to our table. These are very good size sandwiches, you can easily eat it as two meals. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable and helped us make our decision on what to order. It is a very bright place. Has odd artwork, not really a style or anything. A picture of a cow, a watercolor landscape. A fish chart. Something else that I forget.... Just odd, does not really work together, but oh well. Maybe these are from employees or were donated or something. But on to the sandwiches.... They were really good. I think I liked the Ceaser better than the chicken parm and Bolognese sandwich. But it was a hot day and the Ceaser was a bit more refreshing. The bread and wrap were good. Lots of sauce and dressing. Lots of stuff stuffed into the sandwiches. Good stuff. Parking can be tricky. I would like to try out some of the other menu items one of these days.

This location on Wilshire Blvd in Koreatown is the smallest of the three I've visited, with under 10 seats available. It's a compact shop, and most customers opt for takeout. It's a narrow shop, and most customers take their orders to-go. I've previously enjoyed the La Paradiso and La Toscana, with the La Paradiso being my personal favorite. For our first visit with our son, we asked the staff for recommendations, and they suggested either the Venice Beach (Turkey) or the New Yorker (Roast Beef). The staff was incredibly generous, offering a roast beef sample, which our son loved! We also appreciated them providing ice and straws for our water. We ordered the New Yorker ($19.00) with roast beef, porcini cream, tomato, and arugula. The sandwich was thoughtfully cut in half, perfect for sharing. The schiacciata bread boasts a crispy exterior and a soft, chewy interior, which beautifully complements the meats and cheeses. We opted to substitute the porcini cream for mozzarella, which was sliced into perfect bite-sized pieces and tasted incredibly fresh. The roast beef was thinly sliced and tender, the tomatoes were fresh and sliced to perfection, and the arugula added a delightful peppery crunch. It's a well-balanced sandwich and one of the best in LA. We would definitely order it again. A big thank you to the female staff member who expertly cut the meat and offered samples, assisting us in making the perfect choice for my son's sandwich. This experience was truly a positive one for our family. I would definitely return to AAV for the excellent food and service. Order online and have some jump out of the car to pick up your order. There is no seating inside but maybe a chair or two outside. The neighborhood is a little rough around the edges so you may want to get that food to go. We tried three sandwiches and they were all huge. The crispy chicken caesar wrap is phenomenal and I am not one who usually orders this particular sandwich anywhere. It comes with a creamy sauce that I might have drank directly from the little cup. The wrap is packed full of chicken and it is refreshing and excellent. It doesn't look huge but trust me, the wrap is packed full and you will be plenty satisfied. The Antonia sandwich comes with turkey, cheese, avocado, tomato, and garlic aioli. It isn't all that unique a creation but for what it is, it is very fresh and very good.
