Chamango
Emily L.

If you are a chamoy lover, this is for you! If you don't like sweet drinks, this is not for you. I got the chamango and it was delicious! The staff were friendly and it was fast to order. It's in the middle of the hallway so I got it and sat at one of the benches in the atrium.

The beverage is not that really good. Too much ice. Lack of taste, No topping pn the juice. Service is good.

Esquite. Corn in a cup.

Located in the aisle right between 5 Below and SomiSomi, Chamoy Express serves tasty Mexican snacks such as esquite (corn in a cup @ $5.56), tostilocos (chips topped with chamoy, tajin, lemon juice and a bunch of other stuff @ $6.56), chamango (aka mangonada, which is kind of like shaved ice made with mangos, chamoy sauce, tajin, and topped with a tamarind straw @ $7.16), and a bunch of other items (for more info, see the menu photo). It's kind of pricey for the stuff you can usually get at a Mexican raspado shop or elote stand, but it's in a mall so what do you expect? I'm sure their rent is higher than those places so they have to make up their costs somewhere. When I went, the service was quick and cordial. The esquite portion was a little small but the mango slush was huge. I would have rather had it the other way around, but anyways, check it out if you are cruising around Ontario Mills and get hungry for a quick bite or drink.

Corn in a cup.

Today I was feeling hungry and got a corn in a cup from Chamoy express it was amazing I would recommend going here. They have so much more than food too. They have drinks. The service is here was amazing the ladies greeted me in a polite manners and amazing attitude I would recommend going. Their ambiance was amazing as well. Not only that but they were also quick an affection due to a busy time as well they still served me well. I will be going back next time I visit there again.

Receipt from today's visit

I visited the Chamoy express at Ontario mills today. The girl at the counter refused to let me try the Chamoy before I buy. I was forced to buy a bag of chips to try it. The Chamoy taste horrible. The mango flavor had no flavor in it, it was more vinegar than anything. PLUS I was charged a card processing fee of .49 cents. Passing on their fees to consumers...nice! I wouldn't have mind if the service was excellent but it was HORRIBLE! I don't recommend.

There is the food on the glass just as the gave it to us.

Water was $3.99 and they charged an extra dollar to pay by card. Literally ridiculous. Rejected the entire water

It feels like if a Chamoy place modernized into a boba shop. Try the Mazapan Horchata, it's pretty good food. The service was nice as well.

Fun team of waiter and waitresses. You can go and enjoy some Mariachi on Sundays from 12pm -3pm and I cannot wait to go back for another dinner date. They serve you chips and salsa while you look at the menu, no pressure. Great recommendations, the plating is appealing and the food is authentic tasting I enjoyed my chile relleno plate. There is a nice bar area, plenty of tables for a larger group if that is your choice. You can't beat that a cute little local place to enjoy a wonderful dinner!

You get large portions and worth the price IMO. The food came out in lightening speed ! Which was shocking and loved how fast we were able to eat. The only negative thing I can say about their new place is the service. The service was great but they interrupted our meal several times and I felt like we couldn't take a breath to enjoy the food. The server kept asking if we were ok but we barely got our food and we were asked several times while trying to enjoy it. Also the photographer just coming up to use while we ate. We literally took pics with food in our mouths. Everything seemed so rushed. With all the times we were asked if we were okay or needed anything no server came with a pitcher of water to refill our cups. None of them asked about our drinks either. I will be back but maybe in the day time and not the evening time. ( to see if it will be different) the owner or manager needs to tell staff to kind of chill on asking people if they are ok especially when we barely got our food and interrupted several times during the meal. Let people eat and enjoy it for a little bit before being asked like every 5 mins lol

As a white guy, that's my cue to slowly back toward the door like I just heard a smoke alarm. I'm Happy to report Tacos El Juanito passes the test. This place feels legit in the best way: A friendly staff, a little chaotic energy, open late, slight line that moves fast. The kind of place where you can grab one of the tables inside, inhale your food in the car like a raccoon, or take it home and pretend you made it.Options. The menu is simple. I went with the al pastor, and it was excellent. The pork had that perfect balance -- juicy with crispy edges, seasoned beautifully, and just enough sweet pineapple to make it sing. The salsa is actually hot. They packed that burrito with more meat than a gym bro's meal prep Sunday. I genuinely paused mid-bite out of respect. Price felt totally reasonable for the portion and quality. If you're cruising by on the freeway or in the neighborhood and want well seasoned, authentic tacos, this is absolutely worth the stop. No red flags, just red salsa. And I'll be back.

The dining area is a very clean and comfortable. Once seated, an aji verde salsa and cancha was brought to the table. The cancha is a nice touch, the corn is crispy and light. I ordered the Pollo Saltado with an extra portion of rice and a Chicha Morada. The beverage was very refreshing. The meal came out quickly. The chicken was tender and well seasoned with soy without being too salty. There was a fair amount of onions and tomatoes which were stir-fried along with the meat. The fries were freshly made with a light crispy exterior and creamy interior to soak up the saltado sauce. The aji verde salsa was on the spicy side but tasted good as an accompaniment to the dish. There was plenty of sauce from the stir fry for the extra portion of rice I ordered. I plan on ordering the Lomo Saltado next time. The staff were polite and efficient. Plenty of parking in their lot. Definitely on the list for the next time I am in the area.

Add the green sauce they serve and you have a fire worth fighting. I definitely recommend this dish if you stop by here. Tallarin verde con lomo- the lomo was delicious but the pasta was a little too harsh on the pesto. Still good though. Menu is limited but if you're into lomo you should give this place a try. They take good care of everyone that comes in. Small little spot that has calm energy and good vibes. Not a lot of space but a lot of flavor that will bring you back.
