We were welcomed through the outside patio gate by an employee who held the door for us, nice touch, and ushered through the bar area to the front desk. Our waitress was attentive and even when our daughter's order came out wrong was super willing to make sure it was right. My husband wanted to try their steak and compare it to Capital Grill just to gauge quality and sear. He decided the quantity of steak you receive is comparable. When he requested medium rare, that's exactly what he received and it wasn't slimy. He was very impressed. He said the sear could have been better, he preferred Capital Grill's, but the actual flavor was pretty good. I took a bite of it as well, having nothing to compare it to except Texas Roadhouse (which I do NOT order steak from anymore), I thoroughly enjoyed the taste! My daughter ordered the burger and of course I had to take a bite as well to sample the quality of meat. It had a good seasoning although it didn't come with lettuce/tomato/pickles. I am sure if we had known to ask we could've gotten it, but it comes out plain, we did ask for cheese though. We ended up paying $84 for steak/potato plate, kids burgers with veggies, side veggie plate and two beers. The price is okay for what you receive but it wasn't top quality in our opinion. Not bad but we won't be making the drive here again when there are other American Grills we would prefer to spend that kind of money on. read more

Imagine it's everything that olive garden tries to be. The food quality is way ahead of the average cheesecake factory dine. The ambience is more of a medieval cavern which fits perfectly with the Italian food. The service is very well informed on the menu and are transparent with the customer. I just had 1 bad experience where maybe I was in the wrong for interrupting the waiter but I just knew what I wanted. The best of both worlds high food quality mixed with cheap prices. My boyfriend and I absolutely love this place. We have been here on quite a few occasions, at different times of the day, and we have never been disappointed. The service has always been quick and kind. We usually start off with the queso with the guac separated from the cheese (I'm not a guac fan). Our favorite, by far, is the salmon caesar salad. I'm not sure what they do to that salmon, but it is absolutely incredible. Other days, we choose the chicken fried steak with fried okra and carrots. Again, not a bad choice, unless you're watching your figure! We truly do love dining here and I'd recommend trying them out if you haven't. read more

Tessa at the Bar was great and attentive even though she was hustling to get out quality drinks to the restaurant as well. We have been coming to Charleston's for quite some time now (little over a year). Today we had Austin P. as our server, and were left very satisfied. He probably has the best presentation we have ever heard and his menu knowledge is impressive. He told us about the snapper and the ribeye. We ended up getting the ribeye and his description was spot on! We were also really impressive on how well he kept up our drinks. Neved asked for refills and he anticipated our needs superbly. This was probably the best service my partner and I have ever had. The desserts sounded great (good upsell on servers part) but we were full. Austin P. was professional and cordial. He takes his profession seriously as one can see. We will be asking for him next time we come in. read more

We have lived here in FW for a few years & just have not stopped in. This evening we did & was happily surprised. All of us found something to eat & enjoyed it all. The only this was our server had a hard time keeping drinks on the table. At one point we all had nothing to drink. In my personal opinion there was WAY too much ice in the glasses. We came to Charleston's for an evening dinner with friends. Had nice time on a Saturday night good crowd but no wait. This was my first time here needed to check out the menu. Plenty to pick from very home style food meatloaf, chicken fried steak, steaks, burgers, pork chops. You see where I'm going a lot to pick from. I felt like a salad I had the Chicken Club salad. It was very good plenty of chicken great honey mustard on top. If I remember correctly the croissant rolls are very good we ordered extra. The other people at my table order different items and all look very good and good size portions. The place had a good crowd when we arrived at 7pm but it thinned out after that. Mostly families or older crowd. I fall under older crowd. But I feel younger people would like Charleston's. Nice homey vibe bunch of section offed areas and kind of dimly lighted. I had lunch here today. It was very good. First of all, the service was excellent. Our server was polite, prompt and she made sure our drinks were always full. I appreciate this, especially on hot days! I believe our server was Mara and she was the best. My food was very good. I had the baked chicken and I enjoyed it. Group of five of us 5:30 reservation time and we were seated pretty close to that. Service and food was outstanding. We had Rachel as our server and she was very knowledgeable and funny. I had the Hawaiian BBQ Ribs and it came as a large full rack. Very tasty and tender. It easily could have been split for two people but take home was in store for my left overs. Wife had the Parmesan crusted Chicken breast and she said it was delicious. The bar was very nice with an ambiance to match. Jim Beam Rye old fashioned was tasty. They were very busy but seemed to be turning tables over pretty fast. This was our 4-5 time to eat there and we will be back. read more

We had not dined at Charleston's in quite some time (pre-pandemic), but we decided to try them again since they had just reopened after remodeling. What a great experience! When we walked in, the restaurant was fairly crowded, so we decided to sit at the bar. The service was outstanding and the vibe was great. I had the prime rib with a side salad and my wife had the salad entrée with chicken. Both were delicious. The prime rib was cooked perfectly and had outstanding flavor. Drove from Dallas to enjoy Charleston's, really enjoyed this location with friends before COVID . Our waiter in the bar (not the bartender) was great. Our perfect margarita didn't taste as perfect as the old times, but he graciously had it remade to perfection. We started with the dynamite shrimp. Get it! Great flavor and a generous portion. We also enjoyed the ribeye and tolerated the wings. We were double charged for a side of okra that showed up terribly late and were under cooked . The check was corrected. I honestly really love this place. The service is great. The food is wonderful and it is affordable for being such high quality. A lot of the patrons are regulars and you can see why. The queso is a must-have appetizer! Get extra chips because you will need them. I personally enjoy the flatbread pizza for my main course. It's big enough that I can take half home for tomorrow's lunch. The other dishes we like are the pork chops, meatloaf, and steak. All great options. read more

I don't know about y'all but most restaurants these days are severely disappointing when it comes to customer service. Not only is Charleston's customer service always above and beyond every time I go, but the food is always cooked and seasoned perfectly, the cocktails delightful, the ambience relaxing and the restaurant spotless. The entire staff works as a team, pre-bussing other tables, refilling drinks and delivering food, a manager is usually walking around checking on each table personally. We waited ONE HOUR and were told there was a large party that wouldn't leave that had cashed out an hour ago. Instead of the manager setting up tables to accommodate us, she only offered two booths that weren't together. We were there because we had out-of-town family and wanted to visit, so obviously we didn't want to be seated separately! We left, went to Campisi's and were seated immediately! I would be prepared to get a very large and very tasty meal. The dinner salad was delicious and the appetizers we ordered were tasty. Spinach artichoke, queso, and salsa with chips were all served. Thick pork chops, Meatloaf, Top Sirloin, and Chicken salad was Ordered and served to or table. Everyone at our table was happy with what they ordered, and were pleased with how it tasted. BUT on the second visit with Abby as our waitress, it was a great experience. We decided to try out Charleston since we are new to the area. So the first time we were VERY disappointed, but the second time, we were very HAPPY. the food was amazing. We tried the Chicken Fried Steak, Sea Bass, Salmon, and the Bread Pudding. Very cool place that was hopping on a Friday afternoon. The service was fabulous, but the food was okay. I ordered a burger with fries and it was favorable, but not memorable or much to write home about. My friend appeared to like what she ordered, but we both just kinda felt "meh" about the experience. I must have ordered the wrong thing, because people rave about this spot. I am willing to go back and try something else to give it another try. Menu shorter and still easy to select with boxed target selections not too complicated. Good shrimp cargot replacing snails or oysters as always available. Good tasting set of pineapple flavors on several items, Ribeye came out med-rare just as ordered. Mahi also had an island relish topping tasting good. *Excellent service by our server and everyone else on staff as appropriate. Working together, delivery of salads, mains and drink refills were all spot on. Pleasant staff even at a most busy time, made us feel just at home. So many other places seem overwhelmed or lacking service by assigning one person- this was great transparent and exceptional service by each of a whole team with always a smile. Since this is now so unusual to have such teamwork I did comment to the manager woman and server that this is great, including letting us see the menus getting polished and the table and benches being wiped between seatings. Not from a disease prevention now so much as from the attention to detail that shows to us being seated next.
