We knew the Chart House already being from Boston so this was a lovely little treat. Brandon was our server and he was also Bostonian brethren so we had a blast with him! He was excellent, as was our food. My lobster bisque hit the spot. The salads were a great size and very filling. They have a huge fish tank in the middle of the restaurant that's so much fun to watch. They give you a link to read about all the fish in it too! Fascinating. Definitely a fabulous choice if you're in the Fremont area.

Another girl dinner location unlocked, my friend and I decided to come here on January 18th, 2026 we made reservations for 6:30pm, I received a text from the restaurant at 6pm stating that our table was ready, we were finishing up a drink at another establishment we were at and headed over, we arrived closer to our reservation time, we were greeted by the host and a manager, the manager advised us that they validate parking if you dine at the restaurant, which is great because the restaurant is right when you enter the rush tower. We were seated right in front of the fish tank, it was a beautiful view we started with salads and a glass of Moët, the Caesar salad was absolutely delicious, I then ordered the salmon and added the shrimp add on and it was so delicious, the server was very attentive to the table and took very good care of us. For dessert we order the key lime cheesecake and it was very very good I highly recommend! This was a nice local treat if you haven't been give it a try great ambiance and very good food and service.

Chart house is located in Golden Nugget Downtown Freemont Street. The restaurant has an open airy concept with the most amazing very large Fish Tank in the middle of the restaurant with exotic salt water fish in there. It is so amazing and relaxing at the same time to watch them swimming around . The menu is not huge but big enough to have a hard time making a decision on what you want because it is all so good . We ordered Shrimp cocktail as an appetizer to start . Hubby ordered Prime rib and I ordered a Lobster tail with Veggies and potatoes. OMG. Delicious. I'm so glad my husband surprised me tonight on a date to Chart house. It was amazing

I'm a fan. If nothing else, for the fish tank. It's a great backdrop. Certainly beats just bottles of liquor. We came here for happy hour and I don't know. It's not as busy as I remember from a few years back. Maybe it's because they're doing some renovations nearby and a few other places seem closed in the Golden Nugget. Who knows. The bonus is that it was not crowded or noisy. Drinks were great. We shared a prime rib slider that was decent. Service was prompt and friendly. A great place to check out when downtown.

Great service, thank you Danielle! Awesome drinks! Loved the smoked apple wood old fashioned! My husband enjoyed the NY steak and my sea bass was "ok" I ordered it grilled with butter and it was a tad bit too fishy! It's supposed to be a very mild fish... a bit disappointing.

Prime Rib - Chart House Cut 10 Oz

I've been to the Chart House before, but that's in longboat Key Florida. Going to the one in Vegas at the Golden Nugget was a completely different and underwhelming experience. Let me start first with the positives. Our server, Danielle was a delight and very sweet. In addition, it was great ambiance given the aquarium that's right in the middle of the restaurant. Finally, we also enjoyed our seasonal spritzes that they were serving that were very refreshing that came with some fried shrimp, which was the only edible thing we had Now the bad. The food. Before I begin, in the restaurants defense, this is where you typically go for seafood, but we weren't necessarily in the mood for seafood. Rather my wife was in the mood for a steak and I was in the mood for prime rib, which I had before at the Florida location that was cooked perfectly. Ummm... not so much here. I asked for a medium rib prime rib, and 10 minutes later Danielle came out and said all they could offer me was medium, which I found curious. What I ended up getting, taste wise (visually it looked medium) was closer to medium well and it was just tasteless from a flavor profile standpoint, and not something I could even finish halfway through. My wife's New York strip was no different. She asked for medium rare and she got medium well and the flavor profile just wasn't there whatsoever. This was a part of a larger underwhelming, Vegas trip, where we tried a dozen new restaurants we hadn't tried in Vegas before and only three passed the test. Charthouse here in Vegas was part of the other nine. :(

Our experience here was even better than anticipated! We started by sitting at the bar for happy hour, and enjoyed some delicious cocktails and the avocado shrimp cocktail appetizer. The bartender was so sweet and friendly and we loved the view of the fish tank! We came back for dinner and were seated on the other side of the tank for dinner which was such a delight! Our sweet server made wonderful and honest recommendations for both drinks and dinner. We enjoyed the grilled iced shrimp, sea bass over lobster risotto and the sea bass with shrimp chefs feature. The food was delightful! Great experience and thrilled to go again!

Such a good steakhouse. The ambulance is Beautiful!..Our waitress Ashley was so nice and always checked in us. We will definitely be coming back next time we are in Vegas. CHEFS KISS!

We've been visiting the Chart House Happy Hour in the Golden Nugget for over a decade. It's now become so popular that people line up before the 4:00 pm opening on weekdays. We were fortunate to be first in line to get our seats at the bar. Happy Hour menu includes beer by the bottle, wine by the glass and a couple of special cocktails. The Blood Orange Margarita was on the happy hour menu but the bartender was gracious enough to make me a plain one instead. Food was very tasty. The fried calamari was more tempura-like so light and delicious with a few veggies included. Lettuce wraps were a little smaller than expected but came with three flavorful sauces. Maggie is a super bartender!

Had a great dinner at Chart House inside the Golden Nugget. The massive aquarium next to the dining room really sets the tone - it's a unique experience you don't find at most Vegas restaurants. I ordered the salmon over orzo and veggies, and others at the table had the filet mignon and ahi tuna. Everything came out well-prepared and flavorful. Solid spot for a nice dinner downtown, especially if you want something a little different from the usual Fremont Street options.

    Caesar Salad With Salmon
    Dathan P.

Conveniently located inside the Golden Nugget. First, I'll start with the fish tank. Very relaxing to watch fish swim. Originally, I ordered the Caesar salad with shrimp, but somehow they sent out salmon. I'm not a fish eater; however, I am glad I at least tried it as it was somewhat delicious. The server was apologetic and was going to send out the shrimp, but I declined. In the end, our server removed the price of the salmon which was a very nice gesture. Lots of menu items I would like to try in the future. Service was excellent.

This location still has wonderful food and a interesting view of a massive aquarium. Once again, we had happy hour items. We shared muscles off the regular menu and calamari from the happy hour menu. Both were excellent. The presentation was perfect and the food was delicious.

Chart House Reviews in Other Languages

Ask the Community - Chart House

Do they accept walk-ins and what's the maximum that can be seated together?

They definitely accepted walk ins, but if it's a busy time you will be out of luck! I was by my self and they seated me right away. As far as group size when I was there I saw a large group of 10-14 people maybe, not sure about size limits though.

Do they have a kid's menu?

Yep. Get the kids prime rib! It is as big as the adult version, but comes with fries and costs half the price.

Anyone know when Chart House will reopen? Left a voice mail, but no response...

As of Sept 25, still no answer

At $49.95 per person, it's a stellar deal in this brutal economy and a Strip full of Caesars upcharges. We didn't have a reservation because it's lunch time so the hostess sat us at a tiny table with skinny and uncomfortable chairs, which meant my big and tall man had zero chance of being comfortable. After noticing plenty of empty tables in the main dining room, we asked to be moved and were told "reservations only." So I made a reservation on my phone for five minutes later, walked back up, and checked in. I wish you could've seen her face. After wasting our time, we finally got a normal table. The food is great. The burger is made from the same dry-aged prime beef used for their famous steaks, with melted American cheese that adds a touch of nostalgia. It comes with a large ring of raw onions - I tried it, but it's not for me, so off it went. The bun is intentionally simple, allowing the beef to shine. The fries were crispy with a soft interior. The steak sandwich with caramelized onions also hit the spot. They also brought out a generous side of their signature steak sauce, which ended up being used on everything. Tangy, a little sweet, and reminiscent of a German-style sauce I've had before. Very addictive. Save room for dessert, because their hot fudge sundae is no joke. The fudge is so dense... We'll be back to try a steak and next time make a reservation so we don't have to deal with the hostess circus again. 3.5 stars for an overall first impression but it would have been higher if this restaurant understood who keeps their lights on.

The first floor of the restaurant was very cool! You could see the cuts of meat in the refrigerators and there is also a bar on the left of the entrance. There was a beautiful chandelier by the staircase as well. The upstairs dining area was very plain however. Bare walls, industrial type of standard light fixtures. The server recommended the skirt steak which we ordered MR. Also ordered the ribeye, portobello mushrooms fries and the steak tartare to start. I've never seen a steak tartare come out brown as it shows in the photo. I was so hungry, so I tried some, assuming the kitchen wouldn't send out bad raw meat. It tasted ok but the more I kept eating the weirder I felt about the color. We asked the manager if this was a common occurrence as my experience with steak tartare had never been this way. She said that it shouldn't come out brown and said she'd take it off the menu. She then later came back to explain that the lime juice that's in the marinade oxidizes the raw beef so that's why it's brown... which is an acceptable answer I suppose? It just felt weird bc I couldn't find any photos of browned steak tartare on google when looking up the restaurant menu. The steaks we ordered MR came out. The ribeye was cooked decently but the skirt steak was more on the rare side so we had to send it back for an oven heat up for 1 more minute. I enjoyed the skirt steak but it was too sweet to enjoy the whole thing. Cooking it in the oven for another minute made it even sweeter. It tasted like over sweetened Korean galbi in steak form. I'd say the portobello fries was my favorite dish and decided to take the rest to go to pick at in the hotel. After dinner we were given the dessert menu which didn't really call out to me, but since we told the server it was our anniversary, they gave us complimentary sorbet which was very nice. I liked the sorbet quite a lot but I was pretty full so didn't get to enjoy much of it. The gesture was kind though. At the end, the steak tartare was not taken off our receipt so we had to ask for that to be taken off since the manager told us she'd do that. The server gladly obliged. I want to say, that there was a female employee - maybe a busser, who worked really hard to be attentive with our waters and clearing our plates. I wish I got her name! I believe she was Latina with a ponytail if that helps at all working Saturday evening of Labor Day weekend at 6PM. All in all, the experience was not as great as my husband's first time at the Henderson location - he said the cuts were so much bigger before and the ambience of the Henderson location was more fine dining-esque. But the economy is tough lately so I figured the quality could've easily gone down. Because the price points were very reasonable, I thought it was up to par with what we paid. Probably won't go back unfortunately but it was great to try it out. The plaza it is in is called Trivoli(?) and I thought it was a cute spot with a lot of shops. Although everything was closed by 8, we walked around to digest a little and enjoyed the evening.
