My wife and I went there last week and the service was the worst we have ever encountered. The "Hostess" was a rude, 17 year old girl that tried to seat us at a corner table in the bar. The table and the floor underneath it were filthy. When we requested a booth we were told none of the 4 empty booths were available. We requested the manager who appeared to be in his 20s and was no help whatsoever. We will never visit this dump again and will denigrate it forever. I would like start off by saying that I have always been a huge fan of Cheddars. We were so excited when we first learned that Cheddars was coming to Lake Worth. That being said what a huge disappointment this restaurant has been so far. We have visited the place 5-6 times and have not received a good meal yet. No matter what we have ordered off the menu it has been a huge let down. We have actually let Management know the quality of food was not good and they we were very disappointed. On a Wednesday in May, three of us visited Cheddar's Scratch Kitchen on the North Look in Fort Worth, TX. This has only been open for a few weeks, but upon entry we were greeted instantly and cheerfully and were immediately taken to a table. One of our group was my 91 mother who is very slow and careful. She was treated kindly and gently by these, mostly young, pleasant greeters. We started by ordering an appetizer of onion rings. Then the mom ordered the kids portion of chicken tenders and green beans. Wife ordered the Monte Cristo Sandwich and I ordered the Buffalo Chicken Wrap. Our sever was a young lady named Ashton, and she was very friendly and efficient and helpful with her recommendations. We were warned by Ashton that it would be a few extra minutes to get the onion rings. But IT WAS WORTH THE WAIT! I may never order onion rings anywhere else after these. They were about as perfect as they can get. It will be a standard order for me whenever I go to this Cheddars. (The photo I have attached was taken AFTER we had all started in on them, so the portion was quite sufficient!) The chicken tenders were judged to be the best that we've had anywhere. Sooo often chicken tenders are so over breaded and overcooked that they are not much better than leather. These were crisp and juicy and tender and the mom was able to enjoy them very much. She also really liked the green beans. Our lunch-size sandwiches were very large. We even asked in surprise if this was the lunch portion, which it was. The chicken wrap with their ranch sauce side was really good, with very tender chicken that was not overcooked. And the Monte Cristo was hot with a crispy/flakey outside and perfectly melted cheese with the meat on the inside. So this lunch experience was as good as it gets and we will be returning regularly! read more

Yeah y'all gotta stop giving your servers too many tables in their section. I get some strong servers can handle it but not everyone can. As was the case with my server. I was seated in the bar with my family and I counted 8 tables that our server was taking care of. Service was so slow and I was getting so frustrated and trying everything not to say something. We were finally able to order and I added a side salad and never received it before the meal or even with the meal. I let our server know and she went and got my salad. I received my salad and was extremely disappointed with it. So much that I didn't even eat it, it was drowning in Caesar dressing. My girlfriends tilapia and shrimp was missing the sauce that was suppose to come with it. We waited several minutes to get that. We finished our meals and then asked for the check. Waited and waited and waited and then our server comes over and realizes that the little electronic device that is on the table has no batteries. I guess she was expecting us to use that to pay. So all around a pretty bad experience. I've been a server before, and I'm not trying to toot my own horn, but as a server you gotta be able to pick up on things like I experienced and you have to ask your guests and make sure they are happy with their experience. I've come here multiple times and I really love it.. we always try to come before the 5-6pm dinner rush kicks in.. honestly, not going to lie to you but their chicken fried chicken plate is absolutely delicious!! (I always get the lunch portion just because the dinner is always waaay to filling) my sides always have to be mash potatoes and mac and cheese! I get super excited over their mac and cheese! lol! I dont know what is it.. but its amazing!! Besides from the food, the alcoholic beverages are great too! You really cant go wrong with their texas sweet tea is super delicious!! I will start with the good, the ambiance is excellent, the wait staff here are the best, I have been here at least 7 times, and for the most part the food is great. However on two occasions I have been disappointed with their baked potato, it was old, cold and should have been tossed away, this time I had the ribeye steak to which I still maintain it was not a ribeye, it was tough and tasted more like a sirloin. Waitstaff brought a cook staff out and she said it was a ribeye. The manager came out and asked how everything was and I told him about my steak, he jokingly made a comment about how I ate it and how everyone else loved it, at that point I thought so why do you even ask if your going to become defensive. He did apologize and stated he would look into it and said I might have got a bad steak. My conclusion if your savoring for steak and baked potato, go somewhere else read more

Went on a Wednesday after 2:00. Waited an hour for our food. Food was meh. Server was young like fresh out of high school..a bit frazzled..but he pulled through. I'm sure he'll get better. About five hostesses huddled in front gossiping looking clueless..pretending to straighten menus. Be careful with the flooring..it's greasy feeling like an old movie theater. I almost slipped getting up. Food waited too long at kitchen..came out tepid..not hot. I will give it another shot in three months. This is my first time in this restaurant. I knew about this place and wanted to try it someday but really it wasn't something I was dying for. It was more due to the popularity that it has in town. When I came I must say that the interior of this restaurant kinda surprised me, it was indeed very nice. Mostly darker colors, perfect lightning, super comfortable booths, just how I like it. Although my girlfriend and I were put in a waiting list of 25 minutes we actually didn't had to wait that long. While waiting I was checking the menu and actually trying to decide what to eat. In my personal the menu was a little overwhelming. We sit on a booth and we decided for appetizer chicken quesadillas. It was very good super flavorful with a heat touch that went well all together. A little of cartilage which was very pleasant but it wasn't too much. We also order a spicy mango mojito for me and a Texas Frozen Swirl Sangria for my girlfriend. Mine was really what I was actually expecting but I guess it was somewhat tasty. While waiting for our dishes I couldn't avoid noticing couple of plates were returned to the kitchen. However within minutes what appears to be a manager in good call shows up to the unhappy table and fix the situation. Kyrie our server began to bring our dinner. My girlfriend had the Cheddar's Club sandwich which she called a "simple sandwich". As for me I order the chicken pot pie and a chicken tortilla soup and the cartilage came to life once again. I ask our server if it was normal to have so much cartilage in a pot pie and she had to agreed with me it sure was very unpleasant. She removed my plate right away ask if there's something else I would like to try. Big shouts for Kyrie our server gave us an amazing service. However, did the manager shows up?? Love their chicken pasta salad, always ask for extra pasta on the side. Their painkiller drink is yummy. The coconut and the Honey on the rim is an awesome dessert. I always sit at the bar for the best service, Michelle & Cali are awesome! The building is a new building, however the bathrooms smell horrid! It's been reported to corporate several times...I've called myself several times, with no resolution the answer is to have the sewer relined. My family and I just finished dinner here and we're very disappointed. There were ice cubes in the milk. A soup appetizer never came, a salad had to be asked for, potatoes had to be asked for and condiments previously ordered had to be asked for. The French fries were dry and had no flavor. The only problem i have is that most restaurants you visit, the bar is open seating, well there high top tables are but not their booths in the bar, I just find that strange. Well, I'd like to tell you whether the food was good or not, but I wouldn't know. There was a long wait so we sat at the bar. It took 20 minutes for someone to take our drink order and then another 15 for someone else to take our food order. She asked if we had been waiting long and we told her yes. She laughed it off and said something about shift change. I ordered a club sandwich and pasta salad, my boyfriend ordered the key west chicken. We waited... And waited... And waited. I want to say that my husband and I were out at Cheddars on Monday night was a little surprised for a 45 min wait. But we totally understood for it being only a few weeks open. It's new and fresh and people are excited for a new place in the area. We looked to see if there was a spot in the bar to sit and eat and luckily there was. So my husband cancelled the table for two and we enjoyed our spot in the open top bar area. We had the best time. We notice our waitress Bo was swamped and was very patient for the busy dinner time. But the table next to us was not. They complained and got a huge discount for eating practically 90% of their meal, critiqued the waitress lack of remembering extra sauces and etc, then after all the hard work she gave they left a very little tip. Oh we're very proud of themselves for doing good on the check! Hmmm?!?!?! My husband and I just felt awful. She was nothing like that. Very polite and had a true sense of urgency with 4 other tables that had 4-6 people each. After all said and done we wanted to talk to the manager. I could tell from all the negative comments all night he needed to know that his waitress Bo was amazing. So we talked, and observed what he had did for the table next to us. And explained as a manager to manager I get what you did. You want to make sure at the end of the day you try your upmost best to please the guest. So after I told him how great Bo was and that anything they said about her negative was not true he felt relieved. I even pulled her to the table and told her face to face that she did great in front of her boss. She gave the best service she could to that particular table. The kitchen was backed up for a little bit but that's not her fault. Plus when people like my husband and I who quickly sneak in the bar to see if any open tips are open, no one tells the waitress to prep for a table of how many. You have to open eyeed and on alert for anything! So all in all, please visit this Cheddars and see Bo. For her first time waitress job she did great! We all have to start somewhere! At the end of the day we all don't do our job bad on purpose, there's ALWAYS room for opportunities to get better! Food: great... little wait to busy dinner rush, but hey... it's all ok! Actually, I was really surprised. It was really good. The restaurant is a little cold for my taste, but some others might think it is just right. I found the service a tad slow, so if coming for an hour lunch break, let the server know you are on the clock. The food we thought was excellent. My chicken fried chicken could not have been better. The side was just as good. The salad the other party had was fresh and the meat in the salad was excellent. We were offered 'to go' drinks and that is always a nice send off. Cheddar's has a good variety of foods ranging from comfort foods to steaks. I had steak and grilled shrimp. I had mashed potatoes and broccoli as sides. The steak came as ordered and was great. The shrimp were grilled fine, but came on a tablespoon of rice, which I found a little odd. The mashed potatoes were decent. The broccoli was so over cooked it turned to mush under my fork. I can tolerate some mushy broccoli. What I do dislike is loud talking. Mr. Restaurant Manager, I'm looking at you. Sitting with guest(?) or maybe your friends, talking and laughing loud is off putting when you're trying to have a conversation. The waitress was decent. I've got to say - for a spot with these ratings, the line is super long! My father-in-law waited for about an hour until the rest of us came here for lunch. I will start with the one positive: the food was great. The management was not. I am a mother of 2 small active children. We were told 30 minute wait, the absolute maximum time I would have waited. Came on Sunday nite, Dec 23rd, 2018. Not very busy but we sat for a rather long time just waiting for a server. Some guy shows up to ask us if we'd been waited on, then went to find a server. Server came by to say that she was not our server but would get our drinks. She brought 5 out of the 6 drinks ordered. Last drink came with the chips and salsa about 15 minutes later. Then she says that she WILL be our server...ok, at least we're getting somewhere. She was fabulous despite working a different station and having to take care of us too. The service was great, too bad we never saw a manager so I could tell him how bad the food was. I had the New Orleans Pasta, it was awful. It looked like brown crap and tasted like it too. I couldn't tell the sausage, shrimp, or chicken apart. Take the word "Alfredo" out of the description. I was under the impression is was a creamy cajun alfredo sauce, not a brown/black gumbo sauce. I didn't care for it at all but I think it was just me. It doesn't look anything like the photograph though so choose wisely. I only gave one star because for a fairly slow evening everything was so out of rythym from beginning to end. However, the waitress saved the evening from total ruin with her cheery personality under a mountain of stress. I see reviews from other Cheddar's locations that aren't too favorable and it looks like they need some serious upper management to bring their skills to the table. My meal was ok, but I felt the customer service in that situation should have been better.
