Aw Cheever Tavern, we love you the most. We had history with McGreals many moons ago so we just had to take you for a spin and have been regulars ever since - pre and post parenthood. The setup here is delightful, both inside and the outdoor patio. The food never disappoints and we love the seasonal bevs. Do you boo.

My husband and I were here on an early Saturday night dinner at 5pm. Called to make an outdoor reservation just 40 minutes prior to arrival and was accommodated by a nice hostess over the phone. Large parking lot out front, outdoor seating lovely with huge umbrellas and fire pit. Went inside to see friendly hostess who sat us outside. Inside was a great atmosphere too but on the loud side w lots of patrons watching sports and there was a nice bar. Overall kind tight inside, lots of seating for that space. Our waitress was excellent. Our drinks even better! The Alright Artichoke bourbon drink was one of the better bourbon drinks I've had in a while, not a standard but more citrus flavor which was balanced so well and outstanding, I could have downed a pitcher! Husband had Papis Punch which was great too and summery. Our wagyu slider app was awesome! There were 3 so we split the 3rd in half and there were no fights over it but wow they were so good, all the ingredients and flavors came together so well. Bun was fluffy and perfect. He had the peach mozzarella salad w grilled chicken and I had the spiced cauliflower chickpea salad w grilled shrimp. Wow on both. The cauliflower salad was incredible, the cauliflower had a yellow curry flavor, fresh maple bacon chopped throughout, crunchy chickpeas and cranberries w a vinaigrette-the shrimp was grilled w light char just right, it was also one of the best salads by far for me. Usually o go for the salads w cheese but I did not miss the fact at all that there wasn't any. He thoroughly enjoyed his salad as well. As for the strawberry shortcake dessert. That was a huge miss for us. We didn't know it was served warm, which to us was odd. We were hoping for the traditional. This was not enjoyable, Not for us. But the rest of the meal and drinks loved every bite and can't wait to go back!

Had brunch at Cheever tavern and it was good. They had a nice seasonal drink and food me menu with plenty to choose from. We had the breakfast bowl and basic breakfast and tried the French toast. The food was solid and service was good. Nice local spot to try.

We enjoyed dinner outside. Our waitress was great - very attentive and helpful. We started with the Buffalo cauliflower - full with flavor. It was even better when we asked for a side of ranch. For entrees we had the burger and the chipotle lobster roll. The fries were so good! Both meals were delicious! We'll be back!

Finally got the chance to try Cheever tavern and it was wonderful! We sat inside just due to the heat, but the outdoor space is lovely and I think it would be so nice in late August-September. The indoor space is cozy and there are both tables and bar seating! The Brussel sprout app was so yummy and definitely could feed 2-4 people. The ribs were delicious and perfectly cooked. I love how they make their own sauces, I really think it makes their dishes more unique! I didn't get any of their drinks but the ones at tables around looked good! Definitely a new go to spot on the south shore!

28 dollars for a pumpkin tortellini with only 8 pieces of pasta is kind of absurd.... Skip this

We ended up here for both a happy hour and lunch, and the food, cocktails, and service exceeded my expectations. The fish and chips rivaled what I had while visiting Seattle. The fish was perfectly cooked with a light, crispy batter that wasn't greasy at all. During our happy hour, I indulged in the fried oysters, and they were cooked to perfection. You could tell they were fresh and expertly prepared. If you're looking for a great happy hour, lunch, brunch, or dinner, Oysterman is a great choice! They do get busy, and if you are arriving with a large party, plan on reservations. They do have a separate bar area and a patio.

True to their name, they offer fresh local oysters, as well as littleneck clams, shrimp, and of course, locally caught fish. On our first HH visit, I ordered the Duxbury-sourced oysters. They were sweet as sugar and a tad briny, Perfecto. Plus one ordered fried oysters, and they were fried perfectly. Since our golf match was rained out, we stopped by for lunch. My fish tacos were on point. The cod was so tender, and the cole slaw was a perfect accompaniment. Plus one ordered fish and chips, and according to live feedback, they were as good as the ones she had in Seattle. Lightly breaded tender haddock equals 5-stars! She judges all fish and chips by the one she experienced in Seattle! Service is on point, and we rarely, if ever had to flag down our bartenders for refills. They do have a full bar and an interesting (in a good way) wine list. The main bar area does get busy, but there is a satellite bar area and a patio. Sports are king here, and they have multiple TVs, so it's easy to catch a game or catch up on the sports news of the day. ,

This place is a little shack right by a bridge and there's a place for kids to dip their feet in…read morethe water. We came on a Thursday afternoon and it was packed. There are a few picnic tables, but since there was an event today with live music and a beer tent, it was busier than usual (according to my friend who's been there before). Unfortunately we weren't able to find seating, but it was still fun eating our food standing up and you can also sit on the rocks by the water. You can also grab your food to go. They are old school and cash only, and you order at a window, get your little buzzer, and wait to pick up your food. Do I think $58 for a jumbo lobster roll is expensive (regular is around $40)? Yes. Was it the best lobster roll I've ever had? Also yes. It was just a little buttery, with a generous heap of lobster meat that was fresh and juicy, on a nice buttered roll. We had to eat most of the meat with a fork before biting into the roll. My husband and I shared the jumbo roll as well as a bowl of clam chowder, which was delicious and also came with a pretty generous amount of seafood in it. It was enough to fill us up for an early dinner. The pale ales we got were also great. I think they do have bathrooms that are not portapotties but there was a line so I didn't get to use them. Not sure if I'll be in the area again but I'd stop by for a lobster roll if I am!

I initially thought $53 for the jumbo lobster roll was too much money but regretted not ordering it…read morelater after I saw another table get it. It was huge and looked incredible. Instead, we ordered a fried fish (haddock) plate and a fried scallop plate (comes with fries and slaw). I preferred the scallops which were tender and perfectly fried with a light coating that was not too greasy. The haddock was fine but nothing special IMO. The fries were decent but I didn't care for the watery slaw. The picnic tables by the water had the perfect ambience but be careful not to get a table too close to the water at sunset unless you like wet feet when the tide comes in. We watched kids jumping into the water at a nearby bridge. You order at the booth and they call your number when your food is ready which does take a while at peak times. I saw many people ordering to-go. CASH ONLY!
