Let the pictures do the talking. The Chicago style pizzas are thick and hearty and definitely something you should try once. I can eat an entire frozen pizza no problem and could only eat two slices of this delicious beast. The crust was unreal and buttery flaky. There was just the right amount of sauce and it had a good blend of spices. The cheese and meats were all great. Truly though the crust is what set this pizza apart from the norm for me and that's saying something because I typically don't even eat the crust. I've never had a pizza like this and will definitely be making this a regular spot. read more

Delicious pizza! It always comes out extremely crisp on the crust with a delicious sauce that is not too sweet. My favorite deep dish in town. read more

Just picked up and was made fun of by the cooks--never thought I'd be made fun of for looking Native American. Good pizza but not a professional place. Kids running the front aren't the only childish people working there read more

Excellent pizza is the best way to describe what you will find here. I cannot speak on anything else on the food served here but from my first experience they have made an impression on me. Before I get in on my review I will suggest that if you are going to do as I am and order a deep dish pizza you should order it online or call it in as it takes about 35 minutes to cook a single deep dish. Unless you specifically know where this place is at keep your eyes open. I was at the stop light and did not find it for a few seconds as it is in the front but tucked between two other businesses in the Towne Square shopping center. The pizza was better than I thought it would be. The real deal is the four topping build your own. I went with a deep dish sausage, pepperoni, mushroom and spinach. When you pick this pizza up I hope you been hitting the gym doing some curls as this pizza has some weight on it. I got it to go and when I got home after a 20 minute drive it was still warm. In fact, there was no need to heat it back up. I was worried about it being mostly bread but not the case. It was packed with the ingredients I chose and cheesy goodness. This was one of those situations where I did not mind eating my pizza with a fork and trust me you will probably have to eat it with one. There was never a point when I was eating my pizza where I was searching for any of the ingredients. I had my four ingredients with every bite and I thank Chicago Pizza for not skimping on the portions. If there is a time you want to treat yourself then this is one of the spots to stop at to get yourself a little or even a big treat when deciding to go with the deep dish. The staff is friendly and on the day I went they were having lunch. I admit I was looking at what they were eating and was curious if they offered that on the menu or was that a kitchen special just for them. It looked good is all I am saying. read more

SO GOOD! Our favorite pizza in San Antonio! Can't beat that real Chicago-style pizza, and this place HAS IT!

Good flavor on everything we got! Made fast when I placed the order online. We got garlic cheese bread, honey BBQ wings, Chicago style pizza, and cinnamon sticks. Everything was perfect. My favorite was the cinnamon sticks because they aren't super sweet and overwhelming it has the perfect amount of sweetness. read more

Chicago's Pizza - Box - Pizza Near Me - San Antonio, Texas

Sorry, but it's a no. The large "Chicago Style" pizza with pepperoni, sausage and mushrooms was delivered on time, was exactly what I ordered, and properly prepared. But you can't catch lightning in a bottle. As a former Windy City resident of 37 years, who tried all Chicago deep dish, pan and stuffed pizzas -- from Gino's East, to Giordano's to Pizzeria Uno -- this was a nice try, but ultimately a failure. But even Chicago can't recreate the magic that was once a source of pride for the city. The aforementioned Chicago pizzerias have all gone downhill in Chicago itself, so the odds of recreating them in Texas was always a long shot. Finally, reviewers here, unless they are seniors, can't possibly compare this San Antonio pizza to a product that vanished from Chicago over 30 years ago. For example, even McDonald's 15 cent burger of the 1960's was far superior to the garbage served today. Quality is a dying commodity in most products. Lost forever. read more

Great pizza!!! My new place for pizza; no more Papa John's. Their deep dish is truly amazing and delicious. Definitely worth the wait.

Absolutely the best deep dish Chicago style pizza in SA. The style is very reminiscent of Giordano's pizza - corn meal crust, layers of toppings covered in tomato sauce. The price is also excellent - large deep dish and a big salad for around 30 bucks (even delivered!). Not heart healthy by any means, but if you are craving the real deal deep dish, this is the place. read more

Excellent lunch specials. This place is a hidden gem. Nothing is subpar. Deep dish isn't for everyone but it is authentic and you can't find it just anywhere. It's clean and the service is top notch. read more

Ok... I'm FROM Chicago. Born and raised. So this review is not based on some half remembered vacation from 2 decades ago. First, no cornmeal crust. That's strike one. Second, no crushed tomatoes. Instead a weird thick tomato soup like thing on top. Strike two. Cheese is good. Not Wisconsin but stringy and meltey and enjoyable. However when cold became weirdly plastic. For those of you who compared it to Giordano's... you were spot on. EXCEPT... Chicagoans don't eat there... tourists do. If your from Chicago you eat at Unos, Duos or Lou Malnati's which is nothing at all like this pizza. I am still burping a weird sauce like aftertaste that is not pleasant. As a pizza it is a fail. As a Chicago Pizza it was an epic fail. 2nd star is purely because their pub style pizza pic (thats thin crust) looked like it might have some promise. read more

Prices online do not reflect what they charge you in the store. the pizza is good but I think it's very deceptive. When pricing is 10 to 20% more I understand inflation but at some point be transparent with your customers in the picture now wrong with you like listening to it. read more

Hidden secret of San Antonio! Little no frills place in a shopping strip next to a nail salon..I was pleasantly surprised by the reason we visited in the first place..the food! The pizza has a wait so do like I did & call ahead for deep dish or 'Chicago style'. We had less wait while there & made the other people who were waiting longer jealous lol Nice staff, busy but refilled drinks and made sure our order was met. Oh and I don't think they serve Dr.Pepper but I happened to have one in the car Glass of ice please! We will be craving this pizza in the future I'm certain of it. read more

This place hit home the closest then the others, which have since closed down. I was a little disappointed that Gino's East didn't survive but otherwise if this pizza was served there, maybe Gino's could've had a fighting chance. The deep dish was really chicago style, and not quite pizza uno, Giordanos or Lou malnatti...still good nonetheless. The place could use a little updating and the Italian dressing needed to be tossed out and replaced.bb read more

Very good food at a reasonable price. Nothing fancy inside, but that's not why we come. The pies are legit good.

OMG! This pizza was so delicious!! So I found them on FB off elder eats. The trip to find them was worth it for my husband & I. The pizza is handmade so expect the wait. Or order ahead of time if your in a rush. This is NOT your fast food pizza joint. This place makes your pizza with love! The crust was so delicious & the sauce was very flavorful! read more

It was delicious. Every bit of it. My mouth cries for more. Good prices and amazing flavor.

Strongly recommend this place for deep dish! We had the large four topping pizza with pepperoni, sausage, Canadian bacon, and mushrooms. It was absolutely delicious and two slices are more than enough per person. Definitely one of our favorite go-to pizza joints in town. The coupons on Yelp and their online ordering platform don't seem up to date, so I would call and order instead to confirm the use of any discount. read more

This is the only chicago pizza i have tried so it's not like i can compare well but i was so surprised on how good it was. Thought the bread was going to be too much but it was very buttery, flaky, soft and crunchy at the same time. The bread blended well with the sauce and cheese. Will definitely come back. read more

Chicago's Pizza - 1. Mini 1-Topping Chicago Pizza Lunch Special - Pizza Near Me - San Antonio, Texas

Went to Chicago Pizza craving a meat lover pan pizza with no bacon. Don't like bacon. Pre-Ordered over the phone, told order taker not once but twice, please no bacon. Got there with gf, re-emphasized to the order taker/waitress please no bacon for the 3rd time. We waited 45 in total for the meat lovers pan pizza and what do I get? Bacon in my pan pizza. We already had wasted gas, a drive from 1604/281, and 45 minutes waiting on the pizza so I didn't send it back. The waitress gave us some lame "I'm sorry" and offered to give a discount on our bill. The discount was a whopping $3. Ended up having to pick the bacon outta the pan pizza. Yeah, cause that's what you do with pan pizza when they bring it out. You sit around tearing it apart removing the bacon/or whatever item you specifically asked the waitress not to include in the pizza. Yo, waitress chick, learn your job, have some empathy for the efforts customers make to visit your business, and saying sorry and $3 discount doesn't make up for ruining our pan pizza experience. Management; talk to your irresponsible & immature waitress/daughter/godchild/nepotism baby or whoever this inconsiderate & thoughtless employee might be. Her customer server & order taking is very weak. I should have gone to Trilogy's @ Hueber/Stone Oak. read more

Chicago's Pizza - Great Chicago style deep dish pizza! - Pizza Near Me - San Antonio, Texas

My favorite place in San Antonio for a deep dish pizza. Very thick like a pizza casserole almost. I love it. 2 slices per person are quite filling. The toppings are actually baked inside, so you can't really "take anything off" like you can with most pizzas if that makes sense. Definitely takes 35 minutes for a deep dish pizza to be cooked so order ahead if you don't want to wait. They have beer on tap inside. Red Flash instead of Big Red. Friendly employees. read more

Can I complain about the deep dish at a quarter cut but it's worth the wait. Place your order in enough time so by the way you get there it should be made usually takes about 40 minutes. Upon arrival I was greeted with a friendly hello and may we help you at that point I told him that I had an order to go, then she asked me for my name , it'll be out in just a few minutes , she took my credit card, andI I said thank you very much. read more

It was my brothers birthday and he wanted to try this place. When we first arrived the place was busy and we were a group of 12 so asked if we could sit in the closed section which we were able too. The place as far as decor is a bit outdated but so not let the looks deceive you! The pizza, especially deep dish was amazing! Now I've never been to Chicago to compare but I loved the flavor. Their spaghetti to my surprise was so delicious. The service was great and just overall pleased. I currently love in Colorado but when we come back home to visit I will certainly come back here. read more

I got an amazing deal. $10 for an extra large three topping pizza (pepperoni, jalapeños, and spinach on hand tossed crust). I ordered in the store and waited about 20-25 minutes for it (I was told it would be about 30 minutes so that wasn't a problem for me). The pizza was really flavorful I just didn't like the crust it was a little like cardboard :-(. I'm noticing from most of the reviews that the deep dish so I'll go back again but will have the deep dish next time. I did see a salad being delivered to one of the table while I waited and it look absolutely amazing so I'll try that next time too. read more

BEST PIZZA EVER, you might wanna call ahead tho since it does take almost a hour to make, but it's so cheesy and delicious layered like a pie , 10/10 definitely going again!!!! read more

First of all I ordered the Italian pizza the pizza dough is not original from Chicago it's too soft they don't know how to make the Italian sauce which there was hardly anything there and then after they cut the slices the cook put more cheese on top of it and then put it back in the burner which you never do, in Chicago after you take the pizza out of the oven you cut your slices and put it in a box and that's it! Display shouldn't even username Chicago pizza it's a disgrace to Chicago and then on top of that they're playing Pakistani music in the restaurant which in Chicago that's a disgrace and disrespectful to the Italian neighborhoods, But for the small size pizza it's a good size for the money I paid read more

The cheese is always tasty. I usually just get the regular pizza and my girlfriend always gets black olives on hers. Nice local spot.

I stopped by and ordered a half cheese half pepperoni pizza. I hadn't been to this location in quite some time. When I got home and opened the box, I noticed the pizza was overdone. Since the pizza crust is so thin and there is hardly any cheese or toppings on it, there wasn't much to enjoy. I ate a couple of pieces because I was hungry, but threw the rest out. It's very disappointing that they let me leave with an over baked pizza. I will not be back. read more

I am not from nor have I ever been to Chicago. I want to make sure we are clear on this point from the jump. This deep dish pizza is what I imagine a mom & pop Chicago pie experience would be though, walking through the doors of Chicago's pizza at 9:45 on a Saturday night had the feeling of what I believe the real deal would be. Chicago's Pizza is neither large nor fancy, but the modest trappings and quaint decor of this pizzeria belie the fact that from an unseen oven just behind the counter will come a pie making all of the talk of decor and seating academic. The pie...oh that pie. I've heard good things about Chicago's Pizza and for a good long while, but have never been in the area when the craving struck. Enter the need for food later in the evening on a Saturday night. As I sorted through the options on my Yelp app noting the times all the pizzeria's closed I was disheartened until I saw that Chicago's was open until 11 pm...nice. They offer a bundle deal that worked well for my party of 6 consisting of a large salad, 10 (large) wings, a gallon of tea and a Chicago style deep dish pizza. All for $23.99, for real. Did I drive here in Doc. Brown's DeLorean? Because damn! I am still shocked by the value, to be honest these seem like early 90s prices. So back to not being from or ever being to Chicago. I cannot speak to the authenticity of this deep dish, but THIS is what I expect it has to be. There is ample amounts of pillowy mozzarella hidden under a bright and acidic pizza sauce all resting on a crust that is flaky, light and buttery! THE CRUST IS SOO GOOD! If this isn't authentic Chicago pie then the good people up North should take heed of what this San Antonio pizzeria is serving up. I will most definitely be back to one of my new favorite places to get my deep dish fix! (Please note there is a small Italian pizza check-in on Yelp bonus!) I saved that one for later. read more

I freaking love this pizza. I haven't had Chicago pizza in Chicago so idk how authentic it is, but it sure is tasty! My family always gets the family deal: 1 pizza, salad, wings, and sweet tea. If you are looking for a special treat, I recommend the cinnasticks. The actual sticks are pretty regular but they are served with an amazing dipping sauce. It reminded me of canoli filling. I wanted to give a shout out to the young lady and guy working today. My husband and my wires got crossed and he ended up calling in an order after I ordered online. They did a great job to resolve the issue and we only had to pay for the one order. read more
