There is even a jungle gym inside for kids with ah Chick-fil-A car inside lol There was a lot of room and a lot of tables, with a lot of customers inside. It was raining a lot that day, and even the drive-thru lane was packed--this place is popular with a capital P ! The servers are all pretty nice, and serve your food out from the counter after you order and sit down. They keep the place really clean--would be hard for you to find any trash lying around. The food is awesome--we got the chicken deluxe, the chicken strips and the chicken nuggets. The deluxe sandwich was insane--the piece of chicken fillet was so big it kept falling out of the bun. The exterior of the chicken was crunchy and tasty, with nice breading, while the inside is warm and the meat actually had some moisture. I would like to start by saying, this review is by no means an attack on Chick-fil-A as a franchise. The place consistently delivers quality chicken at a fairly affordable price, even into the final year of the Biden presidency. I'm a big fan of the franchise. With that being said, let's talk about their location in Pleasanton California that shares a parking lot with In-N-Out. I've been a regular here since it's grand opening a few years back. Recently, this place has been spiraling downhill. It started with shorting me sauce. I would request a total of 9 sauces for 2 meals and I would consistently be given 6. I'm not a Karen, I don't complain. It is what it is. About two months ago, they crossed the line and that's when I deemed it necessary to post this. On a random Friday night in May, my gf and I decide to get Chick-fil-A for dinner. I place a duplicate order for both my girl and myself (chicken nuggets, fries, Mac & cheese with a salad container to toss them all together). We get home, ready to feast when I start notice... the bags a little light. I pour it all on the table and much to my surprise, there were no mac & cheeses. Disappointed is an understatement. It took me over a month to get over it and eventually go back. I place my order, wait in line for 10 mins and get to the front where I am given my order. Now that I have been burned by this place, I have trust issues. I check the bag to confirm everything's in there and this time they "forgot" the salad container. I request the neglected item and the dude, who serves no purpose other than to hand the bag off from inside the window to the car, scoffs and gives me attitude and acts like I am holding up the line. Maybe give me everything I order and I won't hold up the line. I apologize for the long read but enough is enough with this place. I will be going giving this place one more chance. If necessary, I will update review, but I've lost faith. I'm just grateful there's another one opening in Pleasanton soon. read more

This place was ok for a fast food place when they first opened , but I am not sure now if they even have a manger on site to oversee what is going on in the kitchen. Last 4 or 5 times (drive through, ate in my car immediately, lunch time)), my meals were consistently disappointing. Grabbed a late lunch from here on the way home from Fremont and was shocked how packed this place was! I have only been here a couple times and the last time I came was before COVID so I must have really forgot how much everybody loves Chick FilA! My dad and I had decided we wanted to grab food from here about 20 mins prior to driving by so I went ahead and ordered using their online system. This was super easy and actually ended up being the only way to get food besides the drive thru. I guess with the covid restrictions this restaurant isn't even letting customers inside...wow! Anyways, we ordered and the process could not have been easier! The one thing to note is they don't give you an estimate of when the food will be ready because it seems like they only start making your order once you indicate you have arrived via the online portal or app. This is both bad and good...bad because the food making process is not in sequence of when you placed your online order, but good because your food will always be fresh and hot! We arrived and there was the entire bay area here trying to get chicken sandwiches!! The drive thru had to be 50+ cars long and there were at least 15-20 others waiting at the pickup tent. They call out your name when it's ready (ours took 10 mins or so) and then you go on your merry way. Make sure to ask for sauce because they are not too giving with the sauces these days with covid! There is nowhere online to specify which sauce you want and then when I asked for some at the pickup tent the worker seemed annoyed. My dad even picked up on the workers irritation with my ask for bbq sauce and came over to make sure I was able to get it. I feel like the workers should be more friendly and willing to assist us customers even when they are crazy busy (be grateful for the business guys!) Overall we were in and out within 20 mins (traffic and drive thru chaos adds some time so be patient!) We got home and dove into our food. We got 2 Spicy Chicken Sandwiches, 1 order of Fries, and a small mac n cheese for my mom. Everything was warm and delicious! I forgot how much I love this place. The chicken is tender and so flavorful that it really can't be beat! I highly recommend coming here for lunch when you are in search of fast food. I went on their Grand Opening Day (November 17th, 2016); and as expected, they were extremely crowded! Don't be fooled with their long line out the door or their long drive-thru line. This store is very prepared with a lot of employees, which made them very efficient! Even though I waited out the door, the line went by very fast, as they had an employee directing their customers on which cash register to go to. I decided to take my food to-go, so after you order, there's an area that's for "pick-up". After a few minutes, another employee will personally deliver your food to you. By the time I waited outside the door to the time that I picked up my food, only took about 15 minutes. If you decided to dine-in, their interior is huge! There's plenty of dining tables & chairs and it's one of the largest Chick-fil-A's that I've been too. Even though it was their Grand Opening and they had their lines out the door, they still had plenty of dining seats available. They also have an indoor play-area for the young children, but it's pretty small. The playground are for kids 54" and shorter. BTW.., they also have free Wi-Fi service inside! If you decide to use their drive-thru, they do have two separate lines! Since they were very crowded and the line went beyond the drive-thru, they actually have employees outside to direct you and to take your order. Again, that was very efficient and it made the drive-thru lines go by a lot faster. I was worried that they would be too busy to enjoy dining here, but with how efficient they were has encouraged me to come back here at any time of the day, regardless of their peak lunch or dinner hours. Yes, I braved opening day madness to report to the Yelp community of the happenings here. 8:35pm I find a parking spot. Prayers have already been answered. As I rush to the front door ready to elbow my way to the front - with a black Friday mindset - I'm politely greeted by a well dressed worker exiting a side door. At this moment I'm darting across a lanscaped area but the dignified nature of said worker above is a reminder to compose myself. Its difficult to contain my excitement but I do my best as I enter. Im in. I enjoying the grey tile floors on the diagonal with crisp white grout... Oh yeah!! This place is sharp. Light pleasant chatter fills the building - all these happy people here. 8:44 I order. Swipe plastic... no chip yet. Wow, that was fast - the long line moved quick like women to a panty hose sale. 8:47pm food delivered. Incredible. After 12 minutes on opening day I get a choc shake and chicken burger... Shake comes with whip topping and cherry. Burger ordered to go so it came in a paper/foil insulated bag that was carefully folded over at the top to keep things hot. So pleasantly surprised by it all. Friendly, fast, delicious. Grand Opening! The newest restaurant in Pleasanton opened early this morning with 100+ people camping out with the hopes of getting one of the "Eat Free For a Year" cards. Lines at both lunch and dinner hours were out the door and down the sidewalk. They even had two drive-throughs cranking out food to hungry drivers. The owners and many of the corporate folks were there greeting, organizing, and helping out. They even gave me a free breakfast card on my way out! Service - The young lady at the register helping me was Jenny from Tennesee. A "blue shirt" trainer. She was extremely patient with me as I had never been to Chic-fil-a before and had questions about each item. She was also nice enough to give me suggestions on her favorite sandwiches, salads, and sauces. 5 stars to Jenny and service, especially since there were 200 people behind me in line. Food - The food is what you would expect from a fast food chicken place. Bagged lettuce that was washed too vigorously, and pre-packaged dressings and granola for the salad. But it did taste fresh and hot, and the chicken in each sandwich was juicy and moist. I ordered a sampler of about half the menu, yet my food still came out lightening fast. A Santa Fe salad, Market salad, grilled chicken and bacon sandwich, chicken wrap, Chic-fil-a deluxe sandwich, spicy chicken sandwich, and some waffle fries (yom). Ambiance - Tan and Taupe walls, gray stone tiles, with light wooden tables and silver metal stools was reminiscent of Urban Plates. Massive interior that seats (yes I double checked the occupancy sign) 196! Plus outdoor seating and a kids playground at the back. Man I love this place. It's a little bittersweet - a few months before this location was announced I had applied to be a Franchise Operator and got an interview. But they passed on me going any further, not sure why. Maybe too over enthusiastic? Oh well, I digress. This place is brand spanking new. So expect the workers to iron out the new store kinks. Lines are consistently out the door, no matter what time of day. Drive thrus are long. So this place is uber popular. It's funny because this place causes a lot of controversy for what they stand for. But you know what? Bravo! If you believe it something, especially if it's tied to your faith, then there's no shame in standing up for it. I love that they give back to their community. The food is spot on. Chicken sandwich is excellent - especially the spicy. Waffle fries are so addicting, especially with the myriad of FREE sauces. Get the lemonade and/or frozen lemonade. Hits the spot. Review #177 - 2020 After I treated the kids to some soft serve, they all said that they were hungry so my three nephews decided to head over to Koja and picked up their dinner. Sadly, my son and niece weren't in the mood for Koja so I decided to look up the nearest fast food that they'd both agree on and I guess Chick-fil-A was close by and they both agreed to it. Simple enough! I placed an online order for pick-up from their drive-thru window at around 7:45 PM on Friday, October 9th. We showed up at the drive-thru line at around 7:55 PM and the line was ridiculously long so I decided to change my pick-up method to curbside and it took less than five minutes to get our food. The kids were already happily enjoying their meals while everybody else who were ahead of us in the drive-thru line are still waiting in line. This location is in a pretty crowded area so the curbside parking situation is somewhat inconvenient and the drive-thru line goes all the way out into the streets. They re-routed the entrance for the drive thru. Just simply follow the signs. The two lanes merge into one lane at the entrance to make your order. The drive up may seem like forever but they do their best to make the process go by. Huge fan of their chicken sandwiches and the sweet tea. Can never go wrong. Especially when they remember to give you Chick Fil A sauce. I always make sure I don't leave that drive thru without checking my bag. Always seems to be a line, both for dine-in and the drive-thru, so you know it's gotta be good! In a week, I've been back 3 times in a row! I'm really loving their fried chicken sandwich, spicy and regular, and their waffle fries. It's never overfried, but tender and juicy. Waffle fries I could eat on its own without any sauce. Though on the third day of fried food, this sensitive stomach of mine felt sick. So maybe don't do what I did no matter how good their sandwiches are and try to break up the days of fried fattyness with a salad or something. My favorite sauce to go with my sandwich is the Chick-fil-A sauce. Service is pretty exceptional. They are genuinely nice and won't mind if you ask for one of each sauce. They will bring the food to you and even come back periodically to ask if you need anything. Seems typical for Chick-fil-A but it still surprises me because great service at a fast-food joint is a unicorn. if you're wondering how they find you without a numbering system, they apparently look for the color and the picture that's on the cone given to u after ordering. Food comes out fast too. Literally 5 minutes after ordering, I already have my food. This location also has a kid's play area, similar to the one at some McDonald's. The double drive-thru is efficient and moves quickly. If the line inside is to the door, it's about a 15 minute wait to the front. With the drive-thru in the front and the front door near the back, the parking area is very congested. It's much easier to park near In-N-Out and walk over for dine-in. read more

I came here to grab some of the chicken nuggets! So, I know this location is relatively new. I come to the Smart and Final all the time in Pleasanton and every time I am there, I always see a line of cars at Chick-fil-A except on Sundays! Chick-fil-A are not open on Sundays. I didn't want to bother with the drive thru line, although it looks they do a good job of speeding it through. It looks like there's two drive thru windows or something so that's good. I just parked near Smart and Final and made my way into the store. I ordered my chicken nuggets, got some ranch sauce and polynesian sauce with my order. I was surprised how fast my chicken nuggets came out. So bonus points for speed! They give you your sauce in a plastic container thing with your receipt and once you're to-go food is ready, we basically swap. and my sauces and receipt get tossed in my to-go bag and they take the plastic container thing. I thought the chicken nuggets were delicious. I can really taste the freshness of the chicken, it doesn't tasted processed like other places since it reminds me of a little chicken chucks that are breaded and deep fried. It's not dry, it's very moist. I still like McD chicken nuggets and chicken nugget at other places but there's a distinction between the quality of product. I am sure there's a lot more additives, perservatives that goes in other fast food chain but I can taste the lack of additives and "healthiness" at Chick-fil-A products. My biggest gripe about this place (or all Chick-fil-A) is the price. It's not very cheap for fast food. It's not bad but it cost a lot. I know a lot of people like Chick-fil-A and pay for the quality, but I think it's not a place I'll frequent often due to the prices. read more

As a pretty vanilla white lady, I can vouch that the Spicy chicken is more flavorful than spicy, so I recommend it over the original. This is my favorite Chick-fil-a that i've been to! I know the lines are always insane and while I have been roughing through them. I just discovered the quickness of ordering online for pick up! The ordering online was pretty easy and you have an option of 3 sauces for your meal and 3 sauces for your side (which is awesome because I LOVE their sauce!). Two weeks ago I went and got a salad, it was an online order, I was in a hurry since my husband had our newborn and he would need to eat soon... once I got home I realized they didn't put a dressing in the bag or the correct salad kit. I called and they said they would replace the salad next time or I could pick up a new one. Since I couldn't leave again, I opted to wait. Fast forward to today, my husband went and got the replacement salad... he made sure there was a salad kit and dressing and came home. They have employee taking orders and payments in the drive thru line. The payment device is touch less, its on a stick and you swipe your own card. I'm so happy that a chick-fil-a opened close to home. We were in need of a restaurant like this and am very happy it's here. There are SO many great things about chick-fil-a and I've decided to bullet point a few of my favorites. * This location is extremely clean. As I look around, there are no napkins, food or trash of any kind on the floor. A table stays dirty for maybe 10 seconds before an associate comes to clean the table. * The service is fantastic. The common response from the associates is "my pleasure" whenever a thank you is given. They are all generally happy and very helpful people. * The kids play structure inside the restaurant!! It's fantastic for days when mommy needs a mental break and the kids want to play. I don't stray too far from the basics a chix sand minus pickles and always ask for condiments ( mayo) as their sandwiches are delicious but delivered dry. Just a bun and breaded deep fried chicken breast. Waffle fries, again a great distinguishing feature is why I make the detour. Ask for ketchup as none will automatically make it into your bag and of course a coke to wash it all down. Faster, tastier chicken can't be found through a drive through window. When we ordered the people were very friendly we asked for 3 spicy chicken Sandwich combos . 2 with no pickles and 1 with no tomatoes but lettuce and cheese are fine .
