The fried chicken sandwich is soooo veeeery salty, and that's so unhealthy. Why a lot of the fast food places add so much salt to the food is a mystery to me. How can you even taste the food with all the salt on it? All you can taste is salt!! It's ok to use salt, but you all are very heavy hand with it. We went to chik fil a early today. So early that I had to wait 15 minutes for our sandwiches which was fine. It was 32 and change. We got one deluxe chicken sandwiche and two reg chicken sandwiches with pickles two fries and two lemonades. All the lettuce tomato and pickles were not fresh my pickles were so limp they were almost non existent. They had just started lunch so the vegetables should have been fresh. For the prices . I brought my 4 rambunctious grand children to Chick-fil-A on Tuesday, October 17th. After a confusing order, and being interrupted by each child, I finally proceeded to sit down and hand out each of their food items. The gal at the counter was very patient as I ordered this confusing order. Then when I realized I subsequently forgot to order a sandwich for myself, I went back up to the counter to order it. The manager immediately came and said he would take care of that sandwich for me, and didn't want my payment. WOW! When does this ever happen? He also came to my rescue when each child was in need of more sauce & ketchup. I didn't get this managers name, but I thank you for your kindness and giving me supreme service while I was at your restaurant. I am so impressed. Even if the drive thru line is wrapped around the parking lot, and the line inside is out the door, they will get you through the line and get you your food within a few minutes and they'll do it with a smile! Every time I go here, I'm impressed. It's just a fast food joint, right? Right?! I've always had great service but today, I'm compelled to talk about it. My wife & I set out on an 8 hour roadtrip so we stopped here to get some grub to go. The drive-thru was uncharacteristically light so we stayed in the car. After ordering, the line stalled. 2 cars ahead of us, I guess they had a large order or something. We were probably only in line for 10 minutes or so, but the woman at the window immediately apologized and said the meal was "on us today. Because of the wait." We weren't even upset or complaining. I've been going to this chick fil a for a while, but that it going to stop. I ordered just a medium fry and large drink, get to the store, they 'don't have the order' okay, he does on the walkie talkie and who I'm assuming is the manager tell him to check the location on my phone (which is right) then when he confirms she tells him to tell me to pull to the window for my order. Then the white crew member with freckles and blondish hair asks for my name and I tell him and SHOW that I've paid for the order and he basically tells me to cancel it and reorder again at the window AFTER the manager (I'm assuming) tells me I could get my food. Sad that chick fil a had this type of management and crew because I work at the wingstop right across the street from there & if someone walked in with PROOF they paid for an order and it was just a fry and large drink, my manager wouldn't hesitate to do the right thing and give them their food, not recharge them. I will be telling all friends and family not to visit this location. Very disappointed of how the situation was handled and the fact I wasted my gas to go get a fry & drink from chick fil a on a hot ass day like this and don't get it despite it showing I paid. It was there for years but, even though I thought it was delicious, I rarely went there and eventually, it went away. I remember having the idea that it was too expensive for me (a kid)... Fast forward to 2011... I now live in the SW and there are Chick-fil-as all over the place. Luckily, they are just as tasty but also, fast, healthy-ish and in the same price range as many other joints of it's type. I really love their grilled chicken sandwiches and fruit cup options. This is my first time at this franchise. When I mentioned this to my friends over Facebook, a few of them were shocked, as if I've been living under a rock. Remembering that there was a location along the way, I stopped by today on my way to a gig. This is the impression I have of the place. Like most parts of this area, parking is ample and easy to get. Chick-fil-A shares a lot in a strip mall. Upland in general is a nice area, and it holds true here as well. I was greeted kindly when I entered the door. In many ways, the place is very similar to Wendy's in decor. The place is fairly spacious, with an indoor play area for the kids. As such, you may get the occasional screaming child. Men and women's restrooms - clean and pleasant (at least on the guy's side), like their dining area. No music playing in the background, with the only noise being the consumers' chatter. I ordered the Spicy Chicken combo, which ended up costing $7.49. Came with a large order of criss-cross fries. The chicken sandwich was fresh, and the chicken is better than in most fast food places as far as taste and size. They have a whole bunch of sauces. I've only tried about half of them. Not a big fan of the Chick-fil-A sauce, as it tastes like a mix of mayo and BBQ sauce. The Polynesian sauce is like sweet-and-sour, and the buffalo is basically hot sauce. I'm writing this review on their wifi network. No time limit. But no power outlets either. Chick-fil-A is closed on Sundays, as their business roots originated from Christian owners. I'm very tempted to give the place a 5. The pricing is still a bit higher than I'd like though. Had a brief battle with a fly as well. Still, it's one of the better chicken sandwiches I've had. Like In-n-Out, Chick-fil-a is a hyphenated evangelical entity famous for dishing out Christian Americana in sly ways. Except that Chick-fil-a's Deep South roots make them a little less discrete about it than In-n-Out. They are closed on Sundays for example. If you look closely at Da Vinci's Last Supper painting, you notice Chick-fil-a was Jesus' last meal. Just before He got nailed non-sexually, Jesus dined on manna which consists of a Spicy Chicken sandwich, waffle fries, and Coke Zero. By itself, the waffle fries make you long for In-n-Out's fries. But you can dip them into various sauces like Honey Mustard, Chick-fil-a's own sauce, or Polynesian (taste like Katsu). Though there are Chick-fil-as around me, I go out of my way for this Upland location. The staff is friendlier, and the dining experience is different because it attracts a different crowd than the ones that litter SoCal strip malls. read more

While most Yelp*ers were out partying on New Years Eve, I was at home watching the Chik-Fil-A Bowl football game. It was a particularly rewarding game, my reward being a free Spicy Chicken Biscuit. And no I wouldn't drive the 60 miles from Encino to upland to save $2.35 on a Chicken Biscuit, but since I had to be out in that neck of the woods anyways, I went online, printed the voucher, and took advantage. I also ordered an extra-large Diet lemonade which was outstanding, and an order of what they call hash browns, but I would call hash brown nuggets. They were greasy and meh, although weren't too bad after I helped my self to a packet of Buffalo Sauce. The Spicy Chicken Biscuit was the star though, they use a whole chicken breast rather than the particle board chicken you find at BK or Carl's and gave it a solid buffalo wing taste without drowning the chicken, It is served sans condiments, which is a good thing as none were necessary and the fresh biscuit barely stood up to the weight of the chicken. There was a little crumble, but the biscuit did basically hold. As for the decor, it is one of the nicest fast food places you will find. The employees seemed to be sincerely friendly, rather than the Stepford friendly that is all too common; the place was clean; and the manager was at a table in the dining area giving everyone a friendly greeting while working away on her laptop. read more
