Found this place after work and I can say that it's become one of my favorite places to eat! I've been here twice and both experiences were great. The atmosphere was cozy and they always had k-pop playing in the background, which is great for kpop fans. The first time I came here, I got the soy garlic fried chicken and it was so flavorful and delicious. I also had the takoyaki and that was tasty as well. When I went during late hours, the service was a bit slow. However, when I went back a second time (during earlier hours), the service was fast and the food came out quickly. I tried the spicy rice cakes as well and it was really good. The spice does build up as you keep eating it so if you're not a fan of spicy things, I don't recommend it. read more

3-30-24 went today on Sunday with my husband and 1 year old son , we called ahead to be sure if they offered and had high chairs, they had no high chairs upon arrival because they share them with the other restaurant..We show up around 5:40 , there was only one poor serve running everything by himself (Aaron) taking orders , hostess , running food , and cleaning tables. He unfortunately due to the busyness messed up our order and two other tables. This restaurant needs to do better in having another serve or two people in general for this small but busy restaurant. I'm a bit disappointed I was very excited to try It out the food was a 8/10 but the service unfortunately wasn't the best. Now the food, the food was so good. We got the lemon pepper wings and the spicy soy garlic wings and the flavor on them was life changing. This place is definitely worth a try especially if you're looking for a late night bite! They share the building with Taiyos Sushi; they have the smaller side which is the downside of it which can cause long waits.. and the restroom is located on the sushi side. They do offer an outside seating at their patio which has heaters so that's a plus! I do hope they decide to expand the space down the line because I feel like this place can be a popular late night spot to grub & drink! As for the food, it was delicious but the breading is different from the other Korean fried chicken spots that I used to go to in OC, but nonetheless, still crispy!!! I decided to try the chicken with sauces on the side since it was my first time and wanted to see how crispy it was! We tried all sauces and I was pleasantly surprised how tasty it was and the spice level was definitely up there (which I loved)! Soy garlic: 9/10 Spicy soy garlic: 10/10 Shocking spicy 3: 7/10 - super spicy and if I kept eating it then I wouldn't be able to enjoy my food too much lol Sampler came with fried spam, regular fries, and onion rings which I recommend if you want a variety of sides to eat with your chicken however the chicken order comes with regular fries already. It also comes with super fresh and crunchy radish and cabbage salad which both are refreshing and a nice addition. NOTE: I tried substituting the regular fries with fried shrimp and they were kind of enough to let me however it would've only been 3-4 pieces which wasn't worth the change at an extra charge. Oh and the little chips that they give you to snack on in the beginning are very addicting so make sure to not get full off these before your entree arrives! You definitely gotta pair the chicken with some beer or soju! I mean.. they're called Chimak after all! Put some fries in my plate first that had some sauce, I thought these are really good friesthen I put 4 chicken wings in my plate, naturally I licked my fingers. That sweet and spicy sauce hits you with the sweet first then the heat comes. Very very good. The fries was a good break from the chicken too. This is the real deal Korean sweet and spicy. Holy moly! What a hidden gem. We were in the parking lot and seen that half was sushi place and half was this place. So glad we stopped. The Korean fried chicken tenders were absolutely amazing. The combo was 4 large chicken strips with your choice of sauce flavor, fries, slaw and leeche and a liter of beer for $27... My wife and I had 1 order and it was perfect. It's an unassuming place, couple of tables inside and some more outside, but the feel is inviting and my family and I got ready to devour some food. Authentic Korean fried chicken has finally arrived at riverside thank God. Before this place, I used to go to Ten Hut inside the 99 ranch super market for my Korean fried chicken's quick fix. This place offers more options typical of a korean fried chicken place- including kimchi fried rice, teokbokki, etc... We ordered the 20pcs soy garlic and lemon pepper. The wings came out hot, fresh and seasoned to perfection. They also came with a side of pickled radish, shredded cabbage salad, and fries. While the lady taking my order was very polite it was incredibly hard for me to hear what she was saying because of he noise in the restaurant (music, people talking). A kfc place in riverside AND it opens late? My friends and I were itching to give this place a try. When we arrived we noticed right away the restaurant is a little small. Fortunately, they have outdoor seating on this really cute terrace with heaters and lights so we were seated there. (They play this really odd classical music tho so so the vibes are a little off). They also share a building with Taiyos sushi and their bathroom is across the building. The service was super friendly and they tried to accommodate us the best they could. Most importantly I think the chicken was good! It was crispy and well marinated. The daikon was well done too and the cabbage salad is always a good addition. Out of the flavors we tried, I recommend the soy garlic. The tray/plating was also really cute. The tteoboki was ok to be honest. I also ordered takoyaki which was alright. I've tried the sweet and spicy, sweet and mild, and original flavor wings, and I definitely prefer the wings sauced. The original flavor nugs (boneless thigh meat) is my favorite dish so far. If you enjoy fried chicken, and have never tried the Korean variety, do your tongue and yourself a favor and support a local business! The only con would be the speed seems to be a bit slow, I hope they work this out as I know how tough it can be setting up a new kitchen and training staff. I came here with my daughter after a long day of work. I'd been wanting to try this place as my gym is right next door. After reading the reviews on Yelp I knew it had to be good. When we walked in we were absorbed by this cute and quaint interior that left me feeling like I was in DTLA in an underground pub.
