Extremely Disappointed with Chimcare's Service and Product, go with someone else! Our experience with Chimcare started off positively--they did a great job removing a large chimney from our house and installing a gas fireplace insert. Unfortunately, everything went downhill after that. The gas insert they sold us, a Regency brand, has been nothing but a nightmare. Over the last three years, we've had to call Chimcare out to repair it at least eight times. Each time, the fireplace works for only a couple of weeks--or less--before breaking down again, often in the same way. Most recently, the ceramic insert they installed broke after just a few days of intermittent use. This strongly suggests that their technicians are not properly trained at installing the ceramic inserts, leading to repeated failures. Because of these issues, we've had a functional fireplace for only two months total over the last two years. This failure to provide a reliable product and service has significantly impacted our family. We've gone through two Thanksgivings and two Christmases without a working fireplace. To make matters worse, during the major ice storm last year, we were left without the heat the fireplace could have provided--something we should have been able to rely on to keep our home and two small children warm during a power outage. Despite our repeated requests, Chimcare has been incredibly unhelpful in resolving the situation. I've had to pester them with calls every few days to get any progress on having Regency honor the warranty. They are completely unresponsive/not-proactive unless I am calling them directly - technician, project planner, and front office are all favorites in my phone - at this point, I've had to call daily just to get any updates or action on what should be a simple warranty replacement. Their lack of proactivity and accountability has been exhausting and deeply disappointing and makes it seem like they are not actually trying to honor my warranty and for what we paid for in terms of service. It's incredibly frustrating to have spent so much money on this installation, only to deal with constant repairs, an unusable product, and a company that refuses to address their technician's clear errors. While their team is polite when scheduling repairs and when the technicians are present, politeness doesn't make up for poor service and unreliability. We deeply regret choosing Chimcare for our fireplace installation and strongly advise others to look elsewhere for their fireplace needs. read more

I am so unsatisfied with this company!!! They are extremely unprofessional. -To summarize: they charged me to clean my dryer vent, they DESTROYED my existing dryer vent, I have been fighting them for over 3 weeks and having to run my dryer vent hose out a WINDOW! and they INSIST I need to pay $650 for the repair. Here's the timeline: -They came out to inspect my chimney and I saw they cleaned dryer vents as well -They cleaned my dryer vent -A few days later I found the dryer vent cap laying outside- they knocked it off and didn't reinstall it- could have had rodents in my house because of this -Eventually I noticed the dryer wasn't actually venting outside like it used to (used to be able to smell/see it was venting) -I called them back out and they told me they shouldn't have cleaned my vent because it was soft duct instead of hard duct and they RIPPED IT APART while cleaning it (and didn't tell me or notice it when the job was done), and my dryer was venting INTO the walls -They then stated they would make it right -They then gave me a quote for $650 to fix it because they say it was installed incorrectly, and they will not budge -Bryon- the GM doesn't return phone calls and is absolutely awful to work with. We live in Renton, WA and originally received our estimate and inspections for both of our chimneys from Chimcare of Renton. We were very impressed with both the professionalism and honesty of both Tyler and Andrew. We knew that one of our chimneys was leaking, so after Chimcare conducted detailed inspections for both chimneys, we contracted with them to replace the chase/wood siding, chase cover, and roof flashing for the faulty chimney. The job was scheduled to take several days to complete. The rebuild/repair was performed by Antelmo and Peter, a team from Chimcare of Portland. They did an AMAZING job and despite the fact that it was bitterly cold, raining, and then snowing during the several days that they were working, they never slowed down. Antelmo and Peter were professional, hard-working, and incredibly detail-oriented. We couldn't be happier with both Chimcare of Renton and Chimcare of Portland and highly recommend them. Chimcare will be the only company that we will use in the future for chimney cleaning/repair. read more

Unfortunately, I believed Chimcare stood behind their Brand/Services. Initially, I felt the technician(s) Dennis & coworker, would provide great craftmenship on repairing a leak around our chimney in early September 2021 and indicating " if leak persists, give us a call & we'll be back." This never occured. Jazmin Becker stated, back in September, "we'll reschedule and come back." I have since sent at least 5 emails trying to find out what happened. No answers, no replies, etc. This has gone on since early September. If a business does not stand behind their Brand, Service, and or quality of work they should have to face consequences. Meanwhile, the leak continues. As a consumer considering Chimcare, beware, run, and seek another company to provide quality service . In addition, as a consumer, there are legal rights!! Kurtis with Chimcare did an amazing job repairing the work the past homeowner had contracted. The past owner had hired a roofer to tuckpoint the chimney and it was a mess. Kurtis scraped off all the work by the roofer, dug out the old mortar, sealed the chimney, and added flashing. The chimney probably hasn't looked better since the house was built! It was a big job and his work was meticulous. He even came back the next day to complete a bit of caulking. Plus, he's a nice guy and very nice to work with. I live in Vancouver Wa and had Matt Spurger come out. We had some birds on our chimney over the spring and needed it cleaned and an new top put on our really high chimney. He was very professional and showed me where the bird nest was and cleaned out the chimney. He was tidy and did not make any mess and laid down rugs to protect my carpet when cleaning. He was great and am happy with our service and would recommend them and will use them in the future should I need any other work done. He also let us know of things to watch for on our chimney as it is aging which was helpful as we can't see up that far. read more

They were patient as this worried home owner fussed about a chimney on my new home that needed some urgent love; with a rebuild from the roof line up, a new liner and connection to a very lovely Regency insert. Toni, Jordan and Bryan all were extremely good and helped me through the whole process start to finish. I had a bid for to repair my chimney flashing from the masonry company who installed it originally. However, the original job leaked and the bid seemed high so. I looked at Yelp reviews and noticed that the Portland Chimcare had positive reviews. I called them and the promptly sent out Kurtis Adams to Damascus Oregon to give me an estimate. We have had nothing but trouble with other contractors fixing up our new house, and I have come to expect angry people and crappy work, but Chimcare provided GREAT service from the start, made things easy and relatively affordable, and got our wacky modified chimney back up and running right away. I have recently had to have my chimney cleaned in my Gresham home.I had to have them install a new crown and caps.The Service man Micheal came out and did the first step and got the chimney cleaned, then let us know about the crown and other thing s we knew we needed done. The second appointment was made that day and soon our fire place was in great working order. Micheal was very friendly and got strait to work. He did nice work and was on time on both occasions. Tyler from Chimcare came out exactly on time (in fact was a bit early), was extremely clean and thorough. He fully reviewed the chimney from the roof, the fireplaces and the basement. He obviously knows his stuff. And after a ton of work he told me that they were pretty clean and didn't need the full service this year. I had Tony Boesch @ Chimcare Portland, come out and do stonework and a water fall feature around my fish pond he even helped put the pump together and added all the piping to get it going. It has been a wonderful addition to my backyard. I really enjoy hearing and seeing the water and my fish are so happy now. He was always on time and very careful to clean up after all his work. We have used White Glove, annually, for several years. They are prompt in making appointments....and keeping them. They do a thorough inspection and have actually done some pipe and brick replacement on our 30 year old woodstove. They introduce themselves on arrival, put on shoe protectors and lay down cloths to protect the floors. I've never had a bad experience with their staff. An excellent experience with a professional. I made an appointment to have my gas fireplace insert cleaned and fixed. There was a leak and soot had accumulated on the window so much, you could not see through to the flames. Jim came on time and was meticulous in his work. He discovered a place where the gasket was missing and ordered the missing piece. There he carefully took the fireplace insert apart and cleaned everything. read more
