My boyfriend came here multiple times before but this was my first time. The restaurant is located near Northpark Center but the area itself was pretty dangerous with people jaywalking the street a lot so be careful! The food was good for such a cheap price though. We got the lo mein with orange chicken and bourbon chicken, we also got the cheese wontons. They gave you so much food and the box was filled. The food was still piping hot and the wontons were still crispy. My only complain is that everything was very greasy and oily, too oily that you can't taste the flavors in the food at some point. This place is good if you want really cheap eats, but other than that there's nothing surprising about the food.

So I recently tried China Bull for the first time. I've been seeing it online and wanted to try it. The service was decent. The workers were courteous and nice. The ambiance was cool, I went earlier in the day around 12 noon. Wasn't that many people in there but the restaurant appears clean and nice. The food was decent. Honestly, you probably couldn't complain with all that food for the price. I got the fried rice, Cajun shrimp, bourbon chicken & orange chicken with 2 spring rolls for $15 and some change. I prob wouldn't get the Cajun shrimp again, I REALLY wished they had a honey walnut shrimp. But everything else was good. I would go back. But I would DEF be back if they added that honey walnut shrimp! So I recently tried China Bull for the first time. I've been seeing it online and wanted to try it. The service was decent. Lots of hype on social media, so we came to see what the fuss was about. Got there about 10 minutes after 11am and we were the second customers. Everything looked freshly made. They load up the to-go plates. No exaggeration -- the styrofoam container was bowed open and heavy. What we ordered: Pepper chicken Orange chicken Fried rice and Noodles Wife ordered: Broccoli chicken Bourbon chicken Fried rice and noodles Everyone has different tastes. I like bold flavors and good texture. I don't like food where big veggie chunks are thrown in to add flavor. My Food rating - my opinion Orange chicken - good flavor, tastes like orange chicken should, but soft and chewy, no crisp. Black pepper chicken - better than the orange chicken. Sweet and peppery, more crisp, but still chewy. Likely dark meat. Noodles - basically spaghetti noodles. Wife noticed immediately. Still tasted fine. Fried rice good. Big win here is portions. If you're hungry, you'll get your money's worth. Way more food than Panda Express. For us, this was a 45 min-1 hour drive. Customer service was great. Place is clean, roomy, and has steady traffic. We stayed about 2 hours and watched a constant flow of customers - people clearly like this place. Employees are quick and efficient. Ratings: Place & customer service: 5/5 Taste/flavor: 3/5 Texture: 2/5 Portions: 5/5 Overall - good food, huge portions, solid service. Worth checking out for yourself.

Fried rice, noodles, and chicken were good. The Mongolian beef I could have passed on to be honest it wasn't my favorite. It was a little too chewy. I liked the bourbon, chicken and the lemon pepper.

I'm a big sucker for Chinese takeout and have been on the search for reliable and consistent spot in the Dallas area. I heard about this spot through a social media influencer who has been resourceful. Now after trying this place , I wasn't too impressed. It's decent but not good. Located off of park lane across the street from Jack in The Box, china bulk express offers drive through and dine in seating. Pulling in, it looks like a busy hole in the wall with a dated structure. Menu is vast and they have many options to choose from . They also have teas and smoothies and appetizers. Customer service was speedy and attentive . I got the combo #1, which is 1 entree with rice or noodles . I also added an egg roll to get an overall feel of what this place has to offer . The General Tsaos chicken was just deep fried bread, I didn't taste any chicken to be honest . The fried rice was underwhelming. Big portions however just quality was not what I expected . For $15 I was a little disappointed, but glad I know now for future references. I would come back and dine in, trying something different. I would recommend this place but there are much better nearby .

Amazing takeout style Chinese food at an unbeatable price! I came here on a weekend around 3 or 4 and it was actually pretty busy even at an odd hour. For the custom combo there are different prices depending on how many entrees you want, and you get either rice, noodles, or half half as the base. The noodles were awesome! They had a great flavor and were MUCH better than something you would get at like Panda Express. The Hong Kong chicken and black pepper chicken were amazing; super flavorful and a little bit sweet and a little bit salty. This is easily the best takeout Chinese I've had in the DFW area. I'll be back often!

Hot and fresh. Food tasted average. The orange chicken was the only good thing to me. About 16 dollars and some change for the plate. Will probably not return.

Huge on the portions but lacking in flavor. I got half fried rice and half lo mein. The rice wasn't cooked all the way, like literally had a little crunch to it, and the lo mein was bland spaghetti noodles. For my entrees I chose bourbon chicken, Mongolian beef, and broccoli chicken. The bourbon chicken was dry and the Mongolian beef was a little chewy. The broccoli chicken was the only decent dish. All for $12. It could've been split into 3 meals but ended up being just one, because I didn't want to eat the leftovers. Service was meh in a local fast food environment. The ladies were cranking out the orders but were not the friendliest while doing so. Definitely wouldn't go out of my way for it again.

My friend put me on this spot and fell in love instantly! The portions are great for the price. The only thing is the excess oil, but apart from that food is great.

This time I got Mongolian Beef & Cajun Spicy Chicken. I was a bit hesitant to order Cajun from a Chinese place but it's my favorite item from them yet! It's sweet and spicy but not sickening sweet like orange chicken, rather it's more smoky and has jalapeños for extra kick! Huge portions as always.

Friendly service, yummy food and huge quantity. For the price, you get so much food and it's absolutely delicious. Way better than the chain Chinese foods. I highly recommend the noodles, hongkong chicken, Mongolian beef. I also enjoyed the black pepper chicken and the bourbon chicken ( a little dry but very smoky flavor). You can opt to get half fried rice and half noodles but i really liked the flavor of the noodles. Heavy packed food that's very flavorful and yummy! I wish I lived closer but at the same time it's good I'm not too close otherwise I'd eat here every day haha.

Enjoyed the half half rice/noddles, orange chicken & burbon ck all had the egg rolls all very flavorful worth the hour drive, my taste buds thought they weee in CA for a moment lol. Had the cream cheese Winston's crunchy enough but a little too sweet for me. Staff were great friendly. Nice sitting area. $9.99 2 item combo plate worth it.

The amount of food is amazing and it was really good for casual Chinese fare.

This isn't a fine dining place but dagnabbit it is so good. I never thought a food container could hold so much food but these people here pack it to the fullest. Great choices and full of flavor. If you leave disappointed from here, you might be a little dead inside. For what it is, it's probably the best at it.

Between the four of us we ordered the roti canai -- with an extra piece of roti, since the base only comes with two, roti murtabak, two orders of the pork belly baos, chili crisp cucumbers, nasi lemak, beef haw fun, and bò tái chanh -- Vietnamese rare beef salad. Overall, the food was outstanding. I feel like the restaurant took all the greatest hits from every Asian culture and put them together on the menu. My favorite dish of the night was a toss up between the rare beef salad, the roti, and the pork belly baos. I loved how crispy and flaky the roti was and the curry dipping sauce that it was paired with was super aromatic, nutty, and rich. The pork belly in the baos was incredibly tender, well-marinated, and had a nice balance between lean and fatty parts. If you enjoy sour dishes, you will love the rare beef salad: there is enough lime in the dish to make you pucker. Every bite is a concentrated punch of flavors, and there is a nice variety of texture between the chopped peanuts, thinly sliced onions, rare beef, and crispy rice cracker. If you're in this part of town looking for a dinner spot, I would not hesitate to recommend Hawkers Asian Street Food. In addition to the solid food menu, the service and drinks were equally spectacular.

But the reviews were suspiciously glowing, so curiosity (and hunger) won. We pulled up and I took one look at the building: older, unremarkable, zero curb appeal. Classic "meh." Inside, several large round tables with lazy Susans, red tablecloths, and Chinese lanterns. They first sat us in a booth but I requested later on to be moved to a large round table since we ordered A LOT. But back to when we first sat in the booth - As a Chinese woman, the second I spotted the older seats with ripped upholstery, it hit me like a culinary prophecy: this place was going to serve me some incredible, authentic Chinese food. I don't know what it is, but there's an inverse law of Chinese restaurants: the less fancy the exterior (and the more the booth looks like it's survived several natural disasters), the better the food. Apparently they skip Instagram-worthy renovations and put the budget where it belongs--on the plate! This is now hands down in my top 3 favorite Chinese restaurant in North Dallas - I can even say it's on the very top. I haven't forgotten about the staff. They deserve 10 stars. Super nice!

The people are the exact same. It was truly a feeling of nostalgia that's hard to describe. My favorite dish has always been, and still is, the bamboo shoots with pork. It is so fragrant, umami, and simply delicious. The west lake soup is also a classic done so well - pro tip to add white pepper to give it a little kick. The steamed pork belly was okay - sauce is flavorful (a touch salty) along with the preserved greens but the pork wasn't as tender as I had remembered it. The fish filets are fried to perfection, full of salt/pepper flavor, and pairs well with the jalapeños. If you don't like fish, you can get the same flavor with the pork version of this dish, which I also really like. The service can be a little slow because it's just 1 chef and 1 waitress who own the restaurant - same people that have run the show since I first came here probably almost 30 years ago! Incredible to see them still working so hard and serving delicious food. They'll never know how much their restaurant and food means to me!

First, I ordered the Chinese Fried Chicken (half), which is supposed to be brined in soy and hoisin, then deep fried in a light batter. This chicken was no more brined than a rock in the desert, and it was just as dry, even the dark meat pieces. The steamed rice was fine, as was the beautiful bok choy. The dish, overall was a huge disappointment. The chicken lo mein was also a letdown, as it had an underlying sweetness that I've never experienced with this dish. Two bites were taken and it (along with the chicken) ended up in the hotel trash can. A couple of positives: I enjoyed the hot & sour soup, and the egg rolls tasted as if they were rolled in-house, which is a rarity these days. I live a few hundred miles down the road and don't get to downtown Dallas very often, so the odds of me patronizing this place again is already slim. But, in the event I find myself here in the future, I will avoid this restaurant.
