I really enjoy this Chinese food! This is the only place that we order from for our Asian food needs

When moving to the "Brentioch" area China King was the first Chinese restaurant I called for delivery... and since it has been the ONLY place I've called for Chinese! Best sweet & sour chicken I've had in Nashville, yet. Their delivery always arrives in a timely manor. They give you a large helping of food, in sturdy & reusable containers. We moved to Nashville last summer. China King is 5 minutes away and our go to spot. Their food is consistent, good quality classic "American style" Chinese food. Great prices. Super quick delivery and its always piping hot and fresh. They are also so very nice every time you call in. read more

China King packs in the business and has decent food. This restaurant should really be more of a 3 star rating, but service and operational issues bring this down to mediocre levels. On two different days we've called our order in and have been told the food would be ready in 15-20 minutes. On both occasions, after arriving at the specified time, we were greeted by an understaffed restaurant that would not even acknowledge our presence. The lady working the front desk is so concerned with fielding call after call that she does that at the exclusion of those patrons waiting to pick up their food. You literally have to interrupt her to get service. The unfortunate result of these operational issues has been food that is lukewarm from sitting in the take out window too long. It's always frustrating to see a business that has potential be brought done by inefficiency and common sense practices. read more

This is our go to Chinese place. Food is always good, delivery is fast, and they are very accommodating when it comes to special requests. Prices are also very reasonable based on food quality and portion sizes. read more

Because we have been LOVING No. 1 Chinese we thought it was only fair to try China King. We got our usual stuff....Crab Rangoon, Dumplings, PuPu Platter and General Gao Chicken....not impressed by any of it, really. We'll go back to our regular place next time. read more

I ordered food from this restaurant a few days ago and everything was delicious. I'm usually very picky about fried chicken wings and the wings from China King were perfect. Crispy and tasty. The fried rice is perfect. I even asked for hot sauce and I received multiple packets, which isn't usually the case in other places. General Tso chicken was A+, Boneless Spare Ribs was A+, and the shrimp fried rice was A+. Will definitely order from here again. read more

There are 3 other Chinese restaurants near by, and this one, by far, is the worst. I ordered from them yesterday because they were the only one open due to the Coronavirus outbreak, and I so regret doing it. They do give you a lot, but most of that are going into the trash can today. Terrible quality! read more

Glad this place is around the corner! We ordered online, and the food was ready on time and they even called to let us know it was ready for pickup. The food was fresh, hot, and very good (orange chicken, egg rolls, fried rice). The cashier and kitchen staff were kind and helpful, the servings were generous, and they put thoughtful touches even into their takeout presentation. Best "fast food Chinese" takeout in the area. I like that they let us customize our order and got it right! My husband got General Tso Chicken with no broccoli. I got the chicken and vegetables, but changed my sauce! (I love the unbreaded chicken and veggies but not a fan of brown sauce) I would choose takeout over dining in for sure. read more

FOOD: Three stars. ATMOSPHERE: One star. This is definitely a place you order for delivery, or go in for take-out. In the Lennox Hill/"Brentioch" area, we chose this place when the Japanese cafe next door was closed. It's just not a very nice to sit and eat. They don't seem to have A/C (there was some type of rolling A/C) device on the floor), so it was really hot. We did sit and eat, though as we were so tired. It was very hot. Our table wasn't level, and we were served with all-styrofoam cups and plates and plastic cutlery- very NYC pizzaria. Our waitress brought two diet Coke bottles out. I had to ask for two cups with ice. Then I had to ask for two straws. This was ridiculous. Everything was clean, and she was friendly, but she didn't have an apron on or anything and was dressed kind of crazy for working in a restaurant- striped shirt, pants, black socks, baseball hat. Just wearing an apron would be more professional, at least. That being said, our two orders of Cashew Nut Chickew w/eggroll were hot and delicious. They seemed to be taking a lot of delivery orders as well. She was extremely friendly and walked us to the door, giving us menus as we left. I've worked in the food industry a long time before, and I've never understood why a business will attempt to do a dining room without following through all the way and fully committing to present themselves well. COMMIT! Get the A/C fixed, put a uniform or apron on the hostess, water the plant, get some real plates and glasses: are you doing dine-in business or not? I would come back for take-out. Some of the better Asian food I've had in TN, I'll give them that. And please water that plant at the entrance! read more

Food looks great. Egg roll was delicious. Nice and crispy, hot throughout. Beef was very tender but almost tasted like pork.... Fried rice was not a fav- broccoli was perfect. Will try the white rice and chicken next time. read more

This is the third Chinese place that I have tried out since I moved here from Knoxville, as previously stated the place is small as are most Chinese resturaunts are so no big surprise there. I ordered Hunan beef, my fiance tried out Mongolian beef, and we both got eggrolls. mine was a little bland but still good and my fiances Mongolian beef was awesome. the eggrolls were also pretty good, we will be going back as it is better than the other two places we have tried out. read more

Ordered here because it was Monday and Number 1 Chinese was closed. The cost was better here but the food was not nearly as good. Smaller portions and the taste was just bad. The quality of chicken was subpar (not sure it was even chicken). Next time it's a Monday and I want Chinese take out, I'll just skip, this place isn't worth the business. read more

A buddy and I ordered China King's lunch special to-go. For 5 bucks you end up with a pretty large amount of food. I got the General Tsao's Chicken and all in all it was pretty tasty. Their food is not out of this world fantastic, but it fits the bill for americanized asian food. The service was pretty good, on the phone the proprietor told us it would be 10 minutes and so when we got there the food was hot and ready to go. I definitely plan on visiting there again. read more

This is the best fast-food Chinese place I've ever been to. I've tried plenty others and none of them have compared. Their food always comes out super fresh and in large portions for a great affordable price. They definitely have the best egg drop soup and made-from-scratch crab rangoons I've had in Nashville so far. This is the ONLY Chinese place I will go to again! read more

We have been to several stores in the same strip mall as China King, but never had eaten there. We decided to order take out from there, as the place closer to us has not been very good the last two times we ordered. We were extremely pleased! The food was ready as promised, packaging for takeout was excellent and our meals were great! We have a new favorite!!! Highly recommend!!! read more

Placed my order there for take out. The place seemed small but clean (unlike another review mentioned). Took about 10 minutes. The lady at the counter was friendly and the food was well wrapped to stay warm until I got home. All four dishes were good and I particularly loved my egg roll. Love the vegetable soup! My husband really likes the egg drop soup. Very good and affordable.

They have great pepper chicken, steamed dumplings, and crab rangoon! Friendly, fast and large portions. :)
