The gentleman working the front was helpful and made the experience easy and welcoming. When we first walked in, there was a noticeable sewage odor, which was pretty off putting and hard to ignore. Hopefully that's something that can be addressed, because it definitely affects the first impression. The layout near the entrance is a bit awkward. We initially thought the space by the door was a bathroom, but it turned out to be empty. Adding a few tables or seating in that area would make it more inviting for customers who want to stay and enjoy their cookies. Their OG choc chip cookies are bomb! Omg so good! If you've ever had levain choc chip cookies from NYC, these are very similar, but I like these more. They're not overly buttery like crumble cookies or other similar cookie spots. These are your good home made choc chip cookies! This place is so good. I honestly wasn't expecting to be blown away by cookies. Everything was on point--the cookies, the selection and the service. The BTS cookie is unreal. Super rich, perfect amount of caramel, and just ridiculously good. The SW chip was also perfect with the wafers and sea salt. The staff were super friendly and helpful. They seemed to actually enjoy being there, which is always a good sign. The place itself has a cool, cozy vibe. Not too loud, not too quiet. I'm definitely coming back. I tried the biscoff cookie and it was pretty good. My preference is always a soft, doughy cookie which is why I really enjoyed this place; It was a round crispy exterior with a doughy, almost raw interior. I like how the cookies are served warm, but I don't like the crispy exterior chip cookie offers. Taste wise, it felt more like a snickerdoodle mixed with vanilla, and very sweet as expected. Its a cute shop located in a shopping center near Barnes and Noble.Cookies are really good but make sure to eat them the same day as by day two the quality decreases significantly. Decided to check this out as I love a great cookie and was not disappointed. When I walked in I was promptly greeted and asked if I have been there before. Since it was my first time the worker gave me the overview and some recommendations. I decided to go with a 4 pack. OG (chocolate chip): it was much better Crumbl's cookie and just as big. Just the right amount of chocolate. 9/10 SW (dark chocolate with sea salt): It was decent, I'm not a dark chocolate fan but for those that are, it will be up your alley. 7/10 Sugar cookie: by far the best sugar cookie I've had from a chain style place like this. The cookie itself has depth of flavor by itself which is further enhanced by the cream cheese frosting. 10/10 Biscoff: This was my personal favorite and is a must try. I will go back just for this cookie alone! The Biscoff filling and the white chocolate chips were a killer combo. 100/10 They also let you customize toppings on some cookies but I didn't do that this visit. Very sterile, minimalist, and clean interior. We got a pack of four: tres leches, Oreo, coconut, and the classic chocolate chip. I loved how thick the cookies were but you could tell they weren't fresh and had been sitting there all day. Exterior was hard but interior was soft. The cookie bar where you select your own toppings is such a great idea. I would go back 100% and would absolutely recommend, but it's basically the same as all the other cookie chains. read more

I was yelled at by the owner to get out of his store... I went to pick up cookies that my mom had ordered online for pick up. I arrived a few hours after the pick up time. The cookies were for Thanksgiving (the next day) so I was not worried about them being freshly baked. When I arrived I was told that the $75 order of cookies had been thrown out because they had assumed I was not coming. I was told to wait 15 minutes for fresh cookies. I asked if that meant the cookies would not be good the next day for Thanksgiving, since they had thrown them out after a few hours. They claimed they would still be good. When I returned 15 minutes later, I was then told that the specialty cookie that my mom had ordered was the specialty cookie from the previous week and was told repeatedly that this week's specialty cookie was a pumpkin chocolate chip cookie. After I expressed multiple times that we did not want the pumpkin cookie, the worker said she could look to see if they still had the ingredients for the Thanksgiving cookie, which she did. She explained that the cookie was hot so it was going to melt the decorations into place. She also explained that the sugar cookies we had ordered could not be heated or that they would melt. When asked to separate the hot cookies from the cooled sugar cookies into different boxes so they would not melt, the worker began arguing that the hot cookies couldn't melt the sugar cookies. She eventually allowed her co-worker to separate the hot cookies. Lastly, when asked if I could add the order to our loyalty rewards account, I was told no. She told me that once an order has been placed you cannot get your reward points. She went so far as to hand me her cell phone, with the owner on the other end of the line. He asked me what the problem was and I explained that we were hoping to get the loyalty points added to our account for our large order. He repeatedly told me no- that we had ordered through corporate online and that the money we had spent had gone to corporate so we could not get loyalty points. He then told me to leave his store. Repeatedly. All on speakerphone. In front of his workers and other customers. Telling me to get out of his store. That I am clearly a repeat customer to. Because I asked about loyalty rewards for our $75 cookie order. I never once raised my voice; I was respectful the entire time I was in the store. Even the worker was surprised by the owner's verbal aggression on the phone. On my first ever visit to Chip, there was a promotion to get a free cookie for leaving a 5 star Google review (in case anyone was wondering about all of the 5 star reviews). And I did so. I have now deleted that review- it wasn't earned at the time and this experience clearly shows that it was not deserved. Beware Google reviews. Looks like a generic 5 star review is immediately uploaded after anyone reports a negative experience! read more

We had to have something sweet and we stopped at one place but it was closed. Then my husband remembered Chip Cookies. I wasn't sure at first if they were going to bake the cookie while we waited or what but they apparently warm the cookie and then decorate it. They have 5 standard varieties and then one that is a special for the week as I understand it. My husband had the sugar cookie which has a minimum amount of frosting. He also got a chocolate chip cookie (had to be a traditionalist). I forget what the name of mine was but it was a chocolate chip/peanut butter cookie decorated with frosting, and Reese's cup pieces. It was much higher at the shop, probably 1/2-3/4 of frosting and decorations off the top of the cookie and mine was no where near that high. That's why they only got a 4. The cookie treat itself was marvelous!!! It obviously tasted like more. I cut mine into 4 pieces because it was so rich & yummy and I wanted to prolong the taste. Yes, everyone should go there and get all 6 cookies if you can afford it and like all of them. I wanted the sugar cookie too and, mistakenly, thought my husband would share.
