My niece and I stopped at this location Tuesday 12/27/22 since we was in the area. We are both big on customer service. Upon entering my niece said hello to the first young lady on the line and her response was what can I get for you. Instead of relying with a greeting then ask what can I get you. The no greeting is a turn off because they greeted you instead you dismissed them. It makes the rest of the experience terrible. They were pretty out or low on certain meats at 7pm. I wanted with my chicken; pulled pork which I pointed out but instead was given shredded beef beef which I didn't catch at the time. The meat portion is so small like an ice crew scoop not generous at all. It's like if you asked for a little more you have to pay extra which is crazy. If you gave a decent amount then I can see if xtra deserves a cost. My niece asked for added meat the portion was so small she paid extra for it the guacamole was brown in color was extra and the queso after all was said and done a $11 meal was $23+ with no drink or chip. Chip is a cost too. Both FREE at Moe's guacamole and chips....Michael at the register he was nice and the young lady next to him. Good interaction is everything especially in food industry and wearing gloves always..Lost points on customer service, meat portions and wrong meats. Once I got home there was hardly any meat there was more rice and beans than meat . Will I go back hmmm Prices varied from other locations a few cents higher. First time ever eating at a chipotle restaurant and this location probably ruined it for me. I'll also not be recommending it to anyone. After walking in the door, I walked up to the counter and wasn't even greeted by the guy working behind the counter. He just stood there and looked at me. Many other establishments ask their employees to engage with customers and sell the product. This guy just looked at me dumb founded and waited for me to say anything. Not even asking "what can I get for you, or hi, welcome". I ordered some food and left. The lady's behind the register weren't to much better but did ask if there was anything else I wanted and so on. The food wasn't to bad, not a lot of options. Rude service to start. Then I made the mistake of paying in cash. I was owed $4.77 in change and the kid gives me 4 singles and says have a nice day. I asked for the change and he says "I don't have any coins." So I asked what that means and he says "I don't have any coins." The staff is extremely slow, i waited in line for 15/20mn before I could place an order. I ordered a bowl with white rice, black beans and chicken. The server put maybe a half spoon of rice, a half spoon of beans and about 3/4 spoon of chicken. The bowl was so empty I could see the bottom cardboard under the little food there was in it. I had to order double of everything to be served a "normal" chipotle bowl. After I paid, there was no forks or spoon available. Someone went to the back to look for ustensiles, but could only find what looked like 10 spoons. Good luck to whoever orders a bowl later on, they will have to wait a a long time in line, have to pay double to be served a normal amount, and eat with their hands. This spot was very unorganized and messy. I was there tonight and there were 5 workers and not one person took care of the customers in store for about 5 minutes. The workers are so rude and don't even fill up whatever you get. They never have half the things i want on my meal. They charge an absurd amount of money and they charge you so much extra for 1 extra scoop for protein. They are so stingy with their food but when I saw the workers making dinner for themselves they made sure to fill it up as much as possible. Never eating here again! read more

I love chipotle, definitely a lot better than moes, but this location in Branford has not been good at all. Normally when I go, I get a steak burrito with extra steak. The last 4 or 5 times I went and ordered that same thing it was a complete waste of $12 every single time. First of all, the food was cold. Not just one ingredient, but everything that was normally suppose to be warm was cold. The steak I get is always scraps from the bottom of the bin, and not enough to qualify as double steak. The last time I asked for extra, there was probably a total of 6 to 7 tiny pieces of steak, and I was told that was extra. I almost wanted to walk out, but I was in a rush to get back to work and was still charged for something I didn't get. Also, the last couple of times, the steak was barley cooked. Had to wait 10 minutes for steak, the rice was bland as hell (probably because they put the wrong one in), and the steak was undercooked. Cashier was nice but others did not look happy to be working there. Might just be the texan taste difference, but would not recommend to anyone looking for a place to eat read more

I ordered my food online, and it came out 25 minutes after it was supposed to and the workers didn't even acknowledge how late they were. I also had a drink attached to the order, but I had purchase another one when I got there. And they wouldn't put my religious name on the bag and declined when me and my friends food got messed up. I am surprised by all the negative reviews posted about Chipotle in Branford. My wife and I have ordered from them on five occasions and have yet to have anything but good "clean" food. The staff have nice also. I would recommend you try them rather than be guided by these reviews. read more

I have to update my review for this Chipotle. I went again last friday and had a much better experience. The ingredients were layered much better so i wasn't getting one ingredient at a time. I got the queso on the side and dipped it in with extra cheese and extra sour cream. I got it wrapped with a double tortilla which I think made it easier to eat (also even bigger). And I tried the spicy beef which i thought was really good. Definitely changed my outlook and Chipotle burritos are back on my radar for future take out. read more

I went to this location today, I ordered a chicken bowl and the place was a mess. The boy was throwing cheese all over the counter on to the floor and didn't bother to clean it after instead he kept serving people and it just looked disgusting. He gave me my order with lettuce and corn attached to it was disgusting. Wouldn't recommend, the place used to be so clean but they hired dirty people. read more

I read in the local paper that Chipotle opened up in my town on Oct. 5. After seeing it being built from over the past few months, I was eager to try it out. Around 2 pm on their first Saturday open, the line was about 3 people deep, but it moved quickly. This was definitely in part to the planning on Chipotle's part. They had about 8 crew members working. I got two burrito bowls to go - one for me and one for my wife. The employees seemed well trained and asked questions as the bowls moved down the line. However, I asked for everything except green salsa for my wife's bowl. My wife was disappointed because her bowl did not have enough spicy salsa and any of the pico de gallo as I requested it to have. Even though I did not sit down, the space for tables seemed a little crammed. It was hard maneuvering around with the bag I had. The door opens up to the line making it a little weird to exit from the opposite side of the restaurant. The New Haven location even though it is in a building seems larger than this stand-a-lone building. There is plenty of parking and easy access back to Rt. 1. I hope when we come back they will have all the quirks smoothed out. read more

I am in complete and utter disbelief after my experience at the Branford Chipotle this afternoon. Not only did I PRE-ORDER my food assuming that it would be done at the given time(5:30), but I also informed the staff THREE TIMES after waiting over 45 minutes for my meal. It's not like I had an overly complicated meal, I ordered two burrito bowls and a small chip. I feel very confident to say that I was not the only one that was completely disappointed and shocked with the lack of service and disregard for the paying customers. I am honestly embarrassed on behalf of the entire Chipotle franchise about the lack of respect and service. I urge you to consider what you are giving your money to before spending it at this establishment. Certainly do not expect your meal to be completed on time and do not make plans for the day if you are planning to eat at this chipotle, as my trip became an all day event. Overall this particular location deserves much less than a 1/5 star review, I throughly regret giving my money to support such a disorganized and unmotivated business. read more

I never write reviews. But Branford chipotle are quite possibly the WORST burrito wrappers. Been coming since it's opened, gave the benefit of the doubt with it being new, but they still are terrible. Clean restaurant, but many people get sick after, including myself. They ask if it's for here or to go but it really doesn't matter because they don't listen or communicate it down the line anyway. Get it together. Seriously. read more
