Thursday night into Chipotle with my friend. Parking here is a bit tough though, so we parked in another parking lot not too far away. Chipotle is the same everywhere as any other one. When our food was being prepared by the first staff we were told it would be an additional 3.50 for my daughter's cheese on her burrito to be melted before other toppings were added. Naturally she changed her mind. When we were being served by the 2nd staff the amount of toppings in comparison to the customers before us appeared to be considerably less. We had to ask for a little more rice when receiving less than a serving spoon full. Then when my daughter asked to pay for our order while my last few toppings were being added the Cashier was abrupt and rude in her response telling her she had to wait. Overall not a great experience on my 1st and last visit to this location. read more

Chipotle's food is pretty good. I frequent their establishments at least 3x/month if that. This rating is mainly on the employees performance at this location. I feel like it's a hit and miss here. We came here last Thursday around 630pm- peak time of course. There were 2 customers ahead of us. 5 employees behind the counter so you would think they're pretty well staffed and on top of their game. As I observed from afar, I noticed 3 online orders coming in as well. I noticed the first employee that you encounter looks like he's in a rush, so throwing in the ingredients into a bowl or a tortilla, spilling rice all over other ingredients which doesn't help with cross contamination if folks are worried about that. Maybe he's behind on his orders not so sure, dbut he was already running low on veggies and steak. So why not at this point trade it out or have another employee trade it out? Also, why is he solely manning the online orders? It's finally my turn, and I had to ask him to change out his gloves due to my grain allergy. He does it willingly but he's so in a hurry that he tears his gloves. I notice the bags of tortillas are on the container of lettuce, which I rarely see occur. I don't make a fuss about it as I don't want to hold the line up. So I get a steak salad bowl, and of course I'm shorted on steak and shorted on veggies as he's trying to scrape the container empty that's already practically empty. I just keep going.... We finally get to the register, pay for our stuff but of course the register person doesn't finalize our order and forgets to charge us our quesadilla that still sitting in the press getting heated up. Anyways.... so what am I trying to say here. Just be prepared when you go here. Or for those doing online orders, here's a picture of what's happening inside. I've been to so many other Chipotle's that are a lot calmer, on top of their game and not tossing food everywhere because they're such in a rush. The reason for my low star: The person who prepare my food was Not wearing a mask. Then I asked them to have someone else remake my food, then I started to Notice at least 3 of their employees either Not wearing a mask or wearing it improperly! I can't believe during this Pandemic people are so careless. So, if you are ordering food from this location, be aware, person who's making your food might not be wearing appropriate PPE. I ordered on doordash for a pickup, somehow accidentally order from el Cerrito instead of Pinole. Chips were either stale or overcooked or both. I wanted to cry driving home after working a very long day because I had looked forward to getting dinner for hours. I felt like I was eating leather that tasted a little like the chips I was looking forward too. As I chewed, there were several hard beans. I thought all Chipotle's stuff was prepackaged but I guess they cook the beans possibly and this was a bad batch. So gross as the hard beans barely mashed when I chewed. My dinner sucked and so did my friends. I'm typing this from the toilet as I woke up with severe stomach pains. Insult to injury I couldn't leave a complain on your website because it doesn't work and kept saying I was logged out as I clicked on the button to report my complaint. Jim was very unsanitary even though he wasn't going to change his dirty gloves before handling my food i reminded him to change them and he was willing to give me the barely left over rice when i asked if there was fresh lime rice coming out. When he told me it would be like 5 min which was okay i seen him dump the left over rice back were the rice was then used the same bowl he was going to give me to the next customer and she asked for brown rice. This used to be a payless shoes. When they announced chipotle was coming i thought "Finally a chipotle that's within walking distance of where I live!". It gets pretty busy during dinner time so if you're driving you may have to park outside of the lot. The parking lot is tiny..holds about 15 cars only. A good idea is to park in the plaza across the street and walk over. 3 stars because its pretty small and parking is horrendous. Lines are always long and sometimes you have to wait for them to refill certain items. read more

Every now and then I have some issue with this chipotle branch! I still find them a chance because every time I call and complain they do something about it. But this last time was the LAST TIME! BEFORE, I online and almost every time I'd get my ORDER with so little food, that I could honestly see the bottom of the bowl. SERIOUSLY! I'd call them to complain and they would send me have another one right, even though i have to drive there and pick up. But NOW, I went there to not have that problem anymore and there's a lady there and she puts the tops without asking you first. When she puts the tomato on top and I told her I didn't want it, she GRABBED THE THING WITH HER HANDS AND TOSSED IN THE TRASH BELOW AND CONTINUED ON THE SAME BOWL AND SAID "yes, so what can I get for you?". ON THE SAME BOWL, HALF OF THE FOOD WAS GONE AND THE TOMATO PIECES STILL THERE. Chipotle is a reliable, clean, relatively healthy CHAIN restaurant. Basically, I think it's the new Starbucks - just with burrito-like fare instead of coffee. This newest addition I think is great for the neighborhood. It's nothing fancy, doesn't pretend to be. But it is decently priced, convenient, and will help keep the neighborhood on the up and up. Plusses: Clean Friendly service Line moves quickly Organic quality food options Outdoor seating has heat lamps - yay! Minuses: No salsa bar No salsa bar No salsa bar hint, hint... Also, since it's relatively new, I'm surprised there aren't promotional "specials" or "deals" to get folks in the door to give it a try. . Overall, good enough fare and a great place to go to split a meal - especially since summer's around the corner. I'll be coming back to try out the outdoor seating. If I'm lucky, maybe they'll have a salsa bar or at least some to offer to purchase on the side. read more

My only complaints with this place is the b.s parking situation. Every time I have come here , the inside is empty and the parking lot is full and double parked. Worst experience ever. This place should be closed down. Both me and my husband found something really hard on our rice bowls. We were chewing and it was very hard so I showed the manager and he said it was from the brown rice (when both of our bowl had only white rice). He said he would give us a coupon for next time. And then my husband got another bowl, and the same thing happened and the manager admitted the rice they were serving was not good, and he threw it away. I want so badly to give this location more stars since they've saved me from starving at work on numerous occasions, but there have been several problems that can't be overlooked. Sometimes I come in just to get a drink, but I have no idea why they would sell me a large drink knowing that most of their sodas are out of order. Mr. Pibb tends to be out of syrup, you have been warned. The last time I went there has got me completely baffled. The guy ahead of me in line had just sang high praises to this location, stated that he doesn't know what to do if they were not around. Did he really just not pay attention to all the ants crawling around and in between the ingredients?? More importantly, why wasn't the girl making my burrito concerned that there were ants on their prep table??? Perhaps I'm just being ungrateful since most people would have paid extra for protein boosts at Jamba Juice, but my biggest concern would be the cleanliness of these little ants. What if they just got done crawling around in the bathroom? Did each ant take the time to wash their six little legs? Come here if you're desperate and don't mind eating ants (I've probably eaten many). I haven't eaten here in years! Decided to come back to try a vegetarian burrito. Staff was friendly. The burrito ended up being huge and a little soggy but maybe that's because I chose the chopped tomatoe salsa so it had a lot of liquid. Everything was pretty bland which is the way I prefer it vs extra salty. I feel like the flavors definitely changed from back in the days. Even the rice tasted different. Not a bad deal for $7.95. I wished the items were warm though. Everything tasted a bit cold. I would come here again for a quick bite but like others said there are better places around the area serving very similar if not more flavorful items. Come here if it's convenient for you. This place is not your average chipotle. Let me tell you why. Normally everyone and their mom can be found at any chipotle location at lunch and during the weekends so if you want to avoid the lines, I would highly recommend ordering online! I almost always do and it is so much easier and quicker. I placed my order online and it was ready in 15 minutes. Keep in mind that this was my first time at this specific location and the only thing that was terrible was the parking! There is parking behind chipotle but sort of a drag when you are there to just quickly pick up your order which takes less than 5 minutes to do so. Anyway, I walked up straight to the register and told me that my order was on its way up. The lady (who was not the cashier) handed me my order and my water. She greeted me with a smile and wished me a good day. 5 stars for customer service! Anyway, I paid for my order and was on my marry way. The food was BOMB (as always) and the taste was fresh. Loved every bite of it! Here is the best and unexpected part: I later got a missed called (about an hour or so) from chipotle and they even left me a voicemail! It was the same lady who gave me my food. The voicemail said, "my name is Maria and I am calling from chipotle and I just wanted to see how your lunch was today, I see that you are unavailable but am leaving you a voicemail. If you would like to call us back with your opinions or comments please do and thanks for choosing chipotle." Holy cow! Never had ANY restaurant, much less a fast food place call me to ask how MY food was! Now that's why I call customer service. I'm really upset after my experience last night. We eat here every Thursday 9pm and they always seem to be great. Last night my wife brought to my attention that every week they are always out of dressing. I of course never knew this because I order burritos but she decided to mention when she repeatedly notice customer after customer frowning at the register when after making this delicious salad to find out after paying, NO DRESSING. That's like going to McDonald's for a Big Mac and they run out of secret sauce, or ordering McNuggets and they give you ketchup because they are out of sauce. My wife now brings this to my attention and now I start noticing customer after customer, frown after frown, and I'm a HUGE fan of the "business model" that I had to speak with management. By the way I watched a 30 minute documentary on Chipotle learning about their "standards" and the importance of their "standards". Here's the kicker, Manager #1 says they ran out and I asked him why weren't we and other customers informed at the beginning of the line when ordering? He said he doesn't know. I told him I wanted to speak with his manager and he said he was off but would call him. 15 minutes later I'm being ignored and forgotten. I asked the cashier to please send the manager to our table and out comes a lady who explained that Thursdays are the busiest days and they always run out. Yes trust me we know this ;) My question is why weren't we or any of the other customers advised upon ordering? She completely showed very little patience and asked if we wanted the salad for free. LOL!! dont insult me i'm not trying to get a free meal lady, I want you to represent Chipotle and the "brand" and Simply SMILE and say SORRY and maybe ask if my wife if she would prefer something else. All of this and never did either of the managers SMILE or say SORRY!! So I told this to the "manager" as she quietly apologized. I said now do the right thing and apologize to the table next to us that ordered salads and who were obviously aware of this issue in the restaurant. She refused and said there are 3 other managers why should I be the one to say sorry. Unbelievable! Bottom line I'm Shocked and disheartened. It's like loving your favorite pop or rock star to find out they've been lips syncing the entire time. Good food is one thing, the customer experience is another. This girl was serving some guy before me and loaded on with two huge scoops of meat on his burrito. When it came to me she gave me like half a spoonful of meat. When she was done with my order I actually had to refuse to pay because she did such a horrible job on my food. I been to many other chipotles and I never had any complaints with any of their serving sizes. The manager came out and told me they would remake my order so someone else came to write it down and remake it. The manager had the order in front of him and kept making all the other customers orders before mine. He started to remake one of my items then took about 10 customers before me and left my half way done order right in front of him. I just told them to forget it and left. We don't get opportunity to come to Chipotle very much, so it always makes it special when we do. The line usually moves right along due to the fairly limited menu, prepared ingredients and assembly line style of putting the menu items together. As a result, when we came here the other night, starving hungry, it was just a few minutes before we all had our various bowls of food, and teeth ready to do work. This visit was a little nicer than usual - we'd come in shortly before closing as they were already starting to put things away. It was obvious that they had some guac that wasn't ready to be thrown away but also wasn't enough to really save for tomorrow. We took a chance and asked for some guac. The server looked at the manager, he looked us over, and decided to throw in a container on the house. That was really cool of him, notwithstanding the big bill we'd just run up. The food was delicious, like when something tastes so good you want to slow down so the experience lasts... The surroundings in most Chipotles could use a little livening up in my opinion. But we rarely dine in, and the bottom line is two bites into that bowl and I couldn't have cared what the restaurant looked like inside. Thumbsup Chipotle. read more

As much as I enjoy Chipotle, I can not give this location a high rating. They are consistently running out of food, which I understood the first couple of months they opened, but by now I would hope that the management has a better understanding of the restaurant's needs. The customer services is also poor at this location. Even though I live much closer to this location, when I want Chipotle I travel the extra miles to Berkley or Pinole, because I know that they will be fully stocked and provide good customer service. read more

Honestly, I'm not a big fan of Chipotle, but my sister and mom love it. So as a treat after piano practice, I decided to bring her here. For starters, the parking lot is a bit cramped. But I believe that it's mainly because it's been newly opened and their is an influx of customers. Once the hooplah dies down, parking shouldn't be too much of a problem. Inside everything is standard Chipotle. The servers are obviously new. The lady in front of us seemed to have been a manager, she expressed concern when I mentioned the possibility of ordering a quesadurrito (a burrito wrapped in a quesadilla). I'm not surprised this spot has such low reviews. I did a web order and these guys didn't have it ready, and the guy at the register offered to give me a burrito he made instead. I was ok with it, but another lady came out and started lecturing me that this is a BURRITO and I paid for a BOWL. Then the guy and woman started discussing in the back and just left me without food. Then they came back and I said I'm fine just getting a refund and they had to bring a manager to help with that - because apparently they didn't know how. Fortunately I complained in the survey feedback Chipotle sends you and they sent me vouchers for free entree's.
