The food is incredible and the service is great. I love it so much. It's the best sushi place in Baltimore. I am so happy it's still there after the panini

Came here after happy hour pretty decent service. The Wong crab Rangoon's were good, California, and the luxury roll, and the beauty, Alaska roll. There's only one of the guest in there, and they had to pick up. Food didn't take very long all in all solid sushi and Ramen place to attend. Ambience is pretty chill. Would I come back, yes.

I have been coming to Chiu's for over year. My family and I love it here. If you do not get the Amazing Tuna with the Cilantro sauce you are missing out! The place is inviting and the staff is absolutely wonderful! We have tried so many rolls and all of them are consistently fresh and balanced. Just to name a few of our favorites. Of course Amazing tuna roll, Spicy Shirley roll, Bruce roll, crazy tuna, and honestly anything with yellowtail. The location would make you think it's crazy touristy, but it's just a great place with wonderful service and great food.

It is a very humble place in this area of town. Linda is very nice, she made me feel like home. The food was great. I don't like salmon with sweet sauce so I'm okay with the teriyaki salmon, though my friend like it very much. The dragon roll was very good, the combination of eel and avocado is awesome. As recommended by Linda, the salmon belly was very fresh and I enjoyed it very much. Will definitely come again.

My favorite sushi place in all of Baltimore. They have the best rolls and everything I've tried has been excellent. I order from here at least once a month and by now I have my order on lock down. The service is amazing, I never had a bad time. The avocado roll is the best thing I've ever had in my life. Since I discovered them I haven't stopped getting them every time

Food was delicious! Absolutely loved the gyoza, and sushi rolls I got (shrimp tempura and asparagus and mushroom). I also got to try the tempura banana roll which was so yummy! Service was great and nice atmosphere!

I really thought this place was yummy. I think something key that people should remember when ordering delivery is that the delivery driver tosses the food into their passenger seat and your display may get messed up, sauces may slide all over, and a 20 minute drive in a steamy container can do some damage to the presentation of your sushi. That being said, I dined in, was the only one for a while, and got pristine attention and a BEAUTIFUL display. I mean truly above and beyond. A little bonsai tree was added to the display. Compliments to the young sushi chef in the back. I liked my sushi, and LOVED my full, thick, miso soup. I mean the soup had plenty tofu and plenty seaweed. I would be back to dine in.

I got the Hawaiian Poke Sushi bowl and the Baked Scallop California roll to share. I'm used to being disappointed by the portions of poke bowls at sit-down restaurants, but this bowl did not disappoint. The bowl had a generous portion of tuna and everything was so fresh. For the scallop roll, there was a large baked scallop on each piece of sushi. I thought having something warm on sushi might be odd, but it was delicious! The ambiance is cute and cozy, but a bit stuffy, the person behind me kept hitting my chair lol. The food was mid. I would say I'm a pretty avid sushi eater, this place tries their best, but misses the mark. I enjoyed their appetizers, but actual sushi was bad. The rice is a bit undercooked and has an extra soft texture. It feels a bit too mushy, which feels unnatural. My friend ordered the avocado roll and that was not tasty at all. We asked if we can get it wrote off the bill or returned, but they said "no refund or exchanges!" lol. So we had to take this massive L for the mediocre sushi. That is all; see attached a photo.

This place was luckily right nearby with good reviews, but since it was a bit too late to eat indoors as they were cleaning up, I ordered my food to go. The woman in front seemed friendly based on the brief interaction I had with her. I went with the $22.95 Grilled Roll Combo, which included grilled tuna, salmon, and yellowtail rolls. All of this came with a pretty large container of miso soup that was better than your typical store-bought version, as it had a better depth of flavor. There was a bit less tofu than at some other places, but perhaps I just got an uneven batch. The meal came with 24 pieces in total, which was a bit shocking to my NYC brain. The various fish had different flavors and nice grill marks, with my favorites being the tuna and yellowtail, as expected. The rice was a little bit soft, but this was to be expected as there was sauce on it and it had traveled, so I am not blaming them. Outside of the rolls, there was some wasabi and some gari/sushi ginger. It was a nice and satisfying meal. Overall, it was a good deal. I can see why this place has been open for years from this dish alone. I would go again if I were back in Baltimore for a game or something and would recommend others check it out.

You walk in, and the Server will smile and nod that you can seat yourself. What they don't have in terms of fancy they sure do make up for it with everything else. Super, super reasonably priced. Clean, pretty restaurant, fresh food and delightful staff. Staff, Eswuin the young Server is one of the best I've come across. He reads his customers well. He knows exactly when to approach and when to leave well alone. He knows when you're in need of a little extra love and when you just wanna chill with hardly any words. And get this! He's the ONLY SERVER! The staff are friendly and attentive. The raw sushi is pretty authentic and tasty. Portions are fair and price point is reasonable. The menu had a good variety and I feel like there's something for everyone. Raw sushi, cooked sushi (ala carte pieces, rolls); fried items, salads, soups, sashimi, pokebowls, noodles (stir fried, soup); japanese pancakes (okonomiyaki) and different beverages, etc. Quite a few times I've gotten the Deluxe Chirashi Sushi before, both dining-in the restaurant and through take-out orders with DoorDash. It was super awesome and has to be my favorite! It's a bowl of sushi rice with different vegetables (varies: kale, mixed greens, cucumber, radish/ daikon, avocado, micro greens) and colorful delicate slices of seafood (both raw and cooked: tuna/ ahi, seared tuna, white tuna/ escolar, salmon, yellowtail/ japanese amberjack/ hamachi, mackerel, shrimp/ ebi, egg/ tamago, crab stick, fish eggs/ tobiko). It's definitely like a treasure box from the sea. I get so happy when I see this dish! It's almost too pretty to eat! XD I've also tried a few different rolls like: Baked Salmon Philly Roll "Oven cooked salmon, cream cheese, avocado, spicy mayo, sweet sauce" (baked in a foil packet), Eel Cucumber Roll (Unagi), Maryland Real Crab Roll "real crab mix with Japanese mayo, old bay, avocado, cucumber crunch flakes, wrapped with soy paper, special sauce", 3 Roll Combo (Spicy or Regular: California Roll, Tuna Roll and Salmon Avocado Roll). The Spicy Cali Roll was amazing!!!I've also tried the Seafood Pancake (okonomiyaki) "made with wheat flour batter, shredded cabbage, onions, carrots, squash and okonomi sauce, Japanese mayo, on top and shrimp, clams, and mussels". What I really like is how well packed the take-out orders are! They Miso Soup is wrapped in saran wrap to make sure it doesn't spill. There's a piece of carsboard under the soups to make sure they lay flat. The Miso Soup is also very flavorful with lots of tofu and seaweed inside, not watered down with no flavor. The sushi rolls are packed in clear boxes efficiently and with good presentation! I recommend to definitely check this place out! You won't be disappointed (: I can't wait till I order sushi from here again!

Putting that aside, I actually think the food at Yoya is pretty decent! Pre-made sushi is never going to taste like sushi you would get at a sit down restaurant but it's still pretty good (and I actually do think that they roll everything fresh in the morning). The checkout place where you pay even gives you free eel sauce or spicy mayo if you ask for it, which in itself tells you they're not messing around, they want you to enjoy your food and that's all you can really expect from any restaurant/food place. The ramen isn't bad either for pre-made/ready to order ramen, I actually think it tastes really good and comes as a large portion. Yoya also does some poke bowls which are pretty standard as far as poke bowls go, although I WILL say that they can be really expensive if you're making a custom one, so just stick to the "specials". They also do lunch rice bowl specials for every day of the week, all of which I like! (Yes.... I have tried them all... and yes, basically 1/3 of my credit card statement every month is Yoya purchases) My favorite thing though, unexpectedly, is the grilled salmon salad that they have every day in the pre-made cooler. It is located in the bottom left corner of the cooler on the left. I have no idea what the dressing is that's in the salad, some sort of lemon vinaigrette or something, but it's amazing, like I would buy a bottle of it if I could! The salmon piece is generally pretty large and cooked well. When your food options in the hospital are limited and you're looking for something fresh/sallad-y, I highly recommend this salad, or anything really from Yoya!

I came as part of a large group dinner. I appreciate that they took large reservations and sat us in a nice spot in the middle of the restaurant. The server was nice and patient, but I did notice his jacket smelled like cigaret smoke. I asked what to get, since the menu is *huge* and overwhelming (I'm not sure why sushi, steak and pad Thai are on the same menu?). He recommended sushi, so I got a flaming dragon roll (I forget the exact name). Anyways, everyone else also ordered and the food came relatively quickly. Now...when I tell you this is the worst sushi I've ever had. Again, I hate being negative but I have to tell it like it is! When they first presented the dish, it was cool because they serve it on fire. I knew that they had sake in the dish (probably so the flame can keep going after they take it out of the kitchen). However, when I bit into it, the sake was *extremely* overpowering. I couldn't taste anything else except the sake. It was extremely alcohol-heavy and I could not finish the dish. I asked others to try it, and they all agreed that it was too heavy. The prices were also very high for what we got. The only food I enjoyed were the appetizers, but they were still unremarkable. Overall, I regrettably cannot recommend this place. None of the dishes stood out, and the sushi was shocking.
