I really like this place but their game day drink menu is absolutely horrible. Had the best espresso Martini here a couple of weeks back. Came back for the same drink n it definitely wasn't the same. I was told their game day menu is different which is understandable. But be warned. read more

I took my husband here to celebrate his birthday and we had a great evening filled with delicious food and drinks. The space is beautiful and great for date night or a celebration. Great for an intimate meal or larger groups. I recommend a reservation, especially on the weekend. They have an excellent selection of cocktails and wine. And a variety of appetizers, salads, and main courses. If you're vegetarian they don't have the biggest selection but I was still able to find something delicious. I would highly recommend the French Onion soup. It was phenomenal!! The fresh baguette is also a must. For dessert we shared the floating Island which was a unique and tasty dish and a perfect way to the end the night. read more

I haven't had this great experience in the Twin cities in quite some time. Add to it that it was for my birthday... the stakes were pretty high! Chloe by Vincent passed with the flying colors. The space has a subtle chic vibe, the server was readily available without being obtrusive. French onion soup and 3 appetizers we ordered (beet, escargot and pea de resistance) were all perfectly executed. I ordered chicken pappardelle and my wife had sole with cauliflower and mushroom sauce. Delicious and crave worthy. We ordered 'floating island' dessert with creme anglaise and soft meringue... I can still savor it in my mouth and may get obsessed as the time goes by. Priced on point. We will be back! read more

We've so missed Vincent and finally got around to visiting Chloe by Vincent. We were not disappointed. Chloe is a bit more casual than Vincent was with its white tablecloths, but it still succeeds at a French bistro vibe. Cocktail options were creative and excellent prepared. My wife tried the Grow a Poire, and liked it so much, she ordered a second (something she rarely does). I had the Vesper, which was one of the best renditions I've ever had (too dangerous to order a second since I was driving). We both started with the French Onion Soup, because you have to. It was very similar to a version we had while in Paris last Fall where the broth is lighter (chicken rather than beef?) and has an undercurrent of Parmesan. It was very good. The cheese was plentiful and definitely not domestic. Perfect for a cold night. I also ordered the Escargot, and loved it. It's hard to get this wrong, with plenty of garlic and herbs. My wife's entrée was the Scallops that she'd been craving since having it at Vincent. She was very happy. Note that the dish only comes with 2 large Scallops, but you can add more for $14 each. We thought this is a bit steep, so she only added one, but then regretted not asking for a fourth because it was so good. I had the Steak Frites, which was a perfectly cooked hangar steak and phenomenal frites (fries). My only complaint was that someone was too liberal with the salt on both the meat and the frites. It wasn't inedible, but saltier than it should have been (and I'm someone who likes salty). The steak was so good that I didn't care. Despite it seeming like a lot of food, everything was pretty light, so we had room for dessert. We chose the Nutella Crepe and a side of Sebastian Joe's vanilla ice cream. Oh, so good! All we needed was the Eiffel Tower behind us and a bunch of guys trying to sell us trinkets to feel like we were back in Paris at Midnight next to the Seine. Nice, upscale-ish place. Service is efficient and friendly. Food is mediocre. Steak Frites with Au Poivre. Got the hanger steak, medium. Steak looked like it was cooked last week, and was clearly a reheated item. The 'frites' were standard fries, blah, and warmer than the steak, but neither item was fresh from the kitchen. I added au poivre because I live for pepper. Easy, right? Pepper, shallots, cognac, cream. Nope! A slight hint of pepper, and absolutely not freshly cracked. Cognac or shallots? Surely, you jest. The combination of happy hour deals ($2 oysters, $10 cocktails) and the mind-blowing Wednesday night burger special ($16 for a salad, burger and potatoes, and a beer) made this one of the best values in a restaurant meal that I've had in a long time. Stopped by Chloe completely randomly before Morgan Wallen @ US Bank. Totally blown away by the quality, hospitality, and delicious food at Chloe. The prices are incredibly reasonable too all around. Ordered the baguette with salted butter and it arrived piping hot and was as good as Paris. For a main, I the Croque Monsieur with crispy potatoes and no lie it was one of the best sandwiches I've had. Chef Vincent even stopped by (he was helping the staff and checking in on everyone) greeting and thanking us for visiting. Don't know when my next Minneapolis visit will be but I'm certain a stop at Chloe is a must. Do not miss this place, it's stellar. Great drinks too. read more

Consistently excellent service. Our favorite restaurant to walk to. The food is so delicious. When we can catch Happy Hour we order the Rocky Burger, LeSalad and the Peas de Resistance'. The French Pinot Noir Bourgogne is medium bodied and exceptional. Just love this place. read more

I've been wanting to eat French food for a long time and came across the recommendation of this restaurant. Overall, I don't have any big problems, but this restaurant doesn't feel like it's worth it. First of all, the food tastes ordinary, just like cooking it at home. The portions are small but the price is higher. The food was served very quickly but I didn't think that was right. They didn't serve the dishes in the order of appetizers and then mains, and the dishes would be cold. The potato chips were really bad and the salad had too much balsamic dressing. I don't want to comment on their service attitude here. The environment may be the only praiseworthy point. read more

So after our dinner out, we were still in the mood for a little dessert and coffee before I had to catch a flight. My friend recommended Chloe as they have a nice dessert menu and excellent espresso drinks. We were quickly seated and provided excellent service by their helpful staff. Our dessert selections were a trio (flan, creme brulee & pot de creme) as well as one of their simple sweet crepes. Everything was very nice and the atmosphere was fun. We just enjoyed our second 5 STAR visit to Chloe before a Guthrie performance. The service, ambiance and food is just the best in the area. Everything there is fantastic, but my highest recommendations would be the raw PEI oysters served with a mignonette granita, pate with grilled bread, mussels in a light curry scented broth and the very hearty french onion soup. The place wasn't busy and the service was meh - we were expecting something more "French" like our experience in France. The menu online doesn't reflect what's on the menu either. My brother and I were both in Minneapolis on business. After an arduous day, and consider other options, we decided to try a restaurant listed on Yelp as "New and Hot". That restaurant? Chloe by Vincent. Upon entering, with no reservation mind you, we encountered a friendly and at the same time, hip and energetic atmosphere. The hostess, I regret I did not get her name, was so very genuinely friendly and personable; more importantly for us, she managed to find a table for two. Our server, Angela, was prompt, efficient, attentive, fun, and knew the menu. The food? Oh the food. We both had the My French Onion soup which was like a warm embrace for the soul. Generous in both size and gruyere, but not such a big serving as to say, 'that was more than I expected'. I had the La Petite Salad while my brother ordered the Beet salad. Both were fresh and delicious. My brother had the Duck Pâté. When I asked how it was, his reply was, "mmmm! Loved it. Loved the apricot. Was a good mix.". We also shared a plate of Scallops with Orange Sauce which were perfectly prepared and complimented so incredibly well by the leeks and fingerlings potatoes. Gordon Ramsey wishes he had them on his menu and Chloe by Vincent's chef. We finished our meal by splitting a Floating Island which was very highly recommended by Angela. She did not steer us wrong. It was unique, delicious, and the perfect finish to a spectacular meal. While I could not regret not knowing what I might have missed, after the day we had, I am thankful we landed at Chloe by Vincent. I am equally, or maybe even more thankful, that the hostess with the sparkly sweater that my wife would have absolutely loved(!), was able to seat us without having a reservation. I cannot imagine that walking in without one and there being an open table, even on a Wednesday evening, will be the case much longer. Well done to all involved with Chloe by Vincent. read more

The spot deserves a five out of five. This is a new French restaurant in the east town part of Minneapolis. It is fancy on the inside, but also casual and not too spendy. I highly recommend asking the waitress for suggestions on what to get because there's a lot of things on the menu I didn't know about previously. I highly recommend the French onion soup, a Galletes, the burger, escargot, and be sure to try a couple of the cocktails as well - especially the sparkly chocolate martini. If you're looking for a romantic date night spot, with dim lights and slow French music in the background, look no further. The wine list is smartly curated and not overwhelming. Escargot is a must try appetizer, soaked in olive oil and pesto. French onion soup was fantastic. However, charging $8 dollars for a small baguette on the side is unheard of. We ordered three creme for desert, and everyone at our table agreed that they tasted too eggy/custardy. Another plus is that they validate the parking in the ramp across the street. Overall, it is a lovely addition to the Minneapolis food scene, with a few kinks on the menu to fine tune. read more

So excited to be back eating Vincent Francoual's marvelous food! Excellent French onion soup, mushroom galette and baguette (from Patisserie 46). The Vincent burger as good (and somewhat messy) as always,and the scallops with a subtle orange sauce were delicious. Our waiter was a bit disorganized but the rest of the staff were outstanding. We are definitely going back to try the other dishes as the decision on what to choose off the excellent menu was difficult! Some friends and I made a dinner reservation here for a nicer night out and had a wonderful time! Chloe is local for all of us, and is probably the only French restaurant in the area (at least that we know of). One of us had been there before and spoke super highly of it (& of the duck pappardelle special), but we also ordered an assortment of apps and entrees. I started with the lavender lady mocktail and it was delicious and refreshing! For apps, we split the beet salad, which was probably the one dish of the night we did not finish and would not order again. It was beautifully plated, but the horseradish flavor was so overpowering that it took over the dish. For entrees, 2 of us got the duck pappardelle special and 2 of us got the steak frites. Both were delicious and everyone cleared their plates! For dessert, we split some crepes and the floating island. The floating island was my favorite, it was just sweet enough and super refreshing, and the texture was great! Our server for the night was also amazing, super helpful, speedy, and friendly! This is definitely a pricier place (our meal ranged from $60-85 a person), but for the ambiance, incredible service, and food it was worth it! The layout is very similar to Bacon Social House. If you ever went there before Chloe took over. They definitely changed out some of the colors and decor pieces. But you can still sit in a really cute booth by the window or at the bar. I had the ratatouille, and it was absolutely delicious. my husband has the Vincent burger and he said the meat was really quality. We also had the trio of desserts, and they were all fantastic. My wife and I celebrated our 32nd wedding anniversary at Chloe - our first time there. We both enjoyed our meals very much. My wife loved the scallops with orange sauce as well as her cocktail. I tried the escargot, beet salad, and the crispy potatoes. All were good, but I thought the beet salad was outstanding.
