Very disheartening experience and poor customer if you want to cancel an order or unhappy with an item. I had 2 family celebrations within a week of each other. All I wanted to do was cancel the second cake order that I prepaid for because the first cake ordered was not a hit. Only 1/2 of it was consumed. I had to work for a resolution and was made to feel like my patronage didn't matter. Sure it was told to me with a smile, but I am no fool. Especially after wasting time and energy. Business is business and employees should have enough confidence to troubleshoot a simple solution and not leave a customer to resolve a refund no matter what the amount is. Regardless of whether or not the owner was on a day off. I was told by employess to e mail, DM and the owner to figure out how to get my money back. It took 3 days and all MY effort to close this matter. The bottom line is the owner didn't care and thought I was mean. She told my husband that when he had to revisit the bakery again to process the refund. I really give 0 stars. It doesn't matter how good a product is- when you don't take care about your customers, you will lose them. Let's be real, not everyone will like every product. Your employees should know how to resolve that on the spot. Own it and train who represents your product on all business days that you are open. You think I care that you the owner, were off? I was not mean and I was not worried about my refund. I was frustrated at your business structure and accountability. Plain and simple. Take the constructive criticism. read more

Ordered a cake from them and it was soggy. We ended up throwing it away because it had an excessive amount of whip cream or some sort of cream filling. They told me they don't custom make cakes anymore and when asked about what they offer on their website, they said they don't know what's on there. I first discovered Choco Bakery after visiting a friend out in Corona. Fast forward a few years later. I was turning a milestone this yr and wanted to do a special beautiful custom cake. I looked all over the internet & came across a few of these beautiful custom letter cakes on IG. Clicked on the picture and it was made by Choco Bakery. I then remembered who they were & decided to inquire about their custom letter cakes. They did a beautiful job & I was able to bring in my own flowers and chocolates. We waited over 2 years to try this place and was soooo worth the wait! Fresh and homemade eclairs, tarts, cakes, baklavas etc... Needed a cake today and stopped by Choco Bakery to see what they had. The employees were nice and helpful. Happily surprised to see that they offer two sizes for their cakes (6 inches & regular). They had 4 selections to choose from on this particular day--tiramisu, vanilla with strawberries, chocolate with ganache top and I forgot the details of the last cake. One recommendation I'd offer is for them to put a sign with names of the cakes so customers have an idea of what each cake is and make reference when talking to friends about it. I was in a bit of a hurry else I would've stayed longer to browse the other desserts and take photos. Although I wanted to get the chocolate cake with ganache topping (it looked elegant with a variety of fruit on top and a piece of edible gold), we've been having a lot of chocolate desserts lately so I went with the small vanilla and strawberries cake. It was simply decorated so I added some plum flowers from our backyard to dress it up. Overall, a nice light cake with whipped cream frosting and sliced strawberries inside. We like that it's not overly sweet like other bakeries. Will definitely visit this bakery again when I have more time to checkout the other desserts and perhaps pickup a different kind of cake to try. read more

I was in the area and saw this place, so I decided to stop for coffee and dessert. I selected the cappuccino and lemon cake (sliced). Both items looked good. The coffee and lemon cake slice was okay. You're probably wondering why I gave this place four stars. It's because the service was good, the place was clean, and the coffee and cake were, not in my opinion, my preferred palette-pleasing flavors. I visited for a quick snack and to check it out. I really loved the experience. It's quaint but the overall feel of the place made me very comfortable. I got the cookies and cream cake and some tea. After taking care of some business in this center, I decided to pop into the bakery to give it a try. The display cases were filled with really beautiful pastries and goodies, which all looked delicious. Being lunchtime, I ordered a croissant sandwich and decided on a piece of coffee cake. I ordered these items to go and went straight home which is literally 3 minutes away. I was really disappointed to find the avocado in the sandwich was brown and was obviously already brown when put on the sandwich. Very unappealing. The coffee cake was completely tasteless and dry. I ended up tossing it. I had high hopes, but unfortunately, I can only muster one star for the bakery and that's because their display cases looked beautiful. Maybe it was a bad day. I don't know. I have been to the original store in Corona and was impressed with the freshness and quality of the cakes. The new location in Anaheim Hills does not seem to carry cakes which were as fresh and moist as the original location. The Anaheim Hills shop is closer to my home; however it's worth driving down to Corona if I crave for roll cakes. read more
