Very disappointed, considering what they're charging people. I had to take two bites in order to reach the chorizo in the choripan, and my dads milanesa had no flavor. A hidden jewel in Orlando! If you are in the mood to have the best, juiciest, tender meat please go to this place!! They make their own morcilla and chorizo Argentinean style which felt like home. To be frank, the food is not bad and the atmosphere is good. But it is definitely overpriced. But the owner is just horrible and unhonest. First,he calculated the bill wrong and after we pointed it out to the waitress, he came to our table explaining ( in a bad attitude) but told us a 18% tip has been mandatorily included in our bill, according to the "rule". However, on the menu it said a 18% will be charged for a party of 5 or more. We only have my boyfriend and I. I tried to argue with him but he yelled back at me and refused to listen. He seems speak a poor English but I don't know if he just pretend that way. He even threatened to call the police ( for what? I don't understand the logic) . I saw some good reviews and some bad ones. After trying to eat dinner at Choo Choo Churros, I suspect that the good reviews were written by the restaurant staff. The appetizer of grilled Provolone was quite good. The two entres of grilled "meats" ($28 each) was beyond awful. Nothing was edible. LOTS of gristle and fat. When my wife complained, the owner said that in Argentina, this dish would be eaten when drunk. We've been here a handful of times and I've never had a bad meal. My family is from Argentina so I'm serious about my Argentinian food. The empanadas are delish and so is the parrillada, with lots of different steaks, sausage and sweet breads. Tastes pretty close to how we do it at home. My fav part of any parrillada is the chorizo and these do not disappoint. No matter how full you are, get the churros with dulce de leche in the middle. And eat them piping hot. You won't regret it. If you like an overbearing owner who comes over and chats you up a lot, this is the place for you. Some of us prefer our privacy. But I could forgive that if the food was amazing. Sadly, his menu is pure fiction. 90% of the items listed they don't have. No pastas, no empanadas, no milanesas. The only food available is the chunk of meat that he bought for that evening which the one employee, a woman in the kitchen, will cook for you. Kind of sad. I loved the provoletta and the wine and the atmosphere. However, I went back a few days ago and was kind of disappointed. The waitress was okay but not great (the old waitress was awesome! This one left us alone and waiting for a long time), the food was okay but not great (we ordered the mixed grill), the outdoor seating was playing pop music and the provoletta was a bit greasy (also okay but not great!) My fiancé has wanted to check this place out since we moved to the area, and today we finally did. We arrived around 4 and were the only guests through our meal. It may seem unassuming from the street but it is very comfortable and well decorated, with relatively small indoor and outdoor seating areas. Which is, the vacio steak and sausage, as you will see. She ordered rice and I ordered fries. We both had sangria with our meal and it was very enjoyable, although I am no expert on the drink. Meals come with homemade bread (it was HOT), garlic butter, a salad, and chimichurri. The bread and butter and salad were very nice and had me excited for the rest of the meal, and the chimichurri was tasty enough to eat on anything. Food comes in a skillet piping hot and you can plate it as you eat. Both our steaks were ordered medium and cooked to perfection. My fiancé has a very sensitive palate and can taste of meat is even close to turning. Her steak was so good, she not only ate it, she did not put any of the chimichurri she was loving with bread on it. Mine was equally well prepared, and I was very satisfied with everything I had (even the fat was delicious). The sausage was the best sausage I've ever had, and I've had quite a number of homemade sausages in NY. No briny sauces, no fancy side dishes, just plane great meat and nice starches, prepared to perfection. The rice is good and goes with the meats well, but I would recommend the fries with ketchup/mayo, they are made to order. With leftovers in a box, we decided to try 2 of their churros ($2 each, made to order). The dulce de leche (which is a caramel) was excellent, and probably my favorite, the chocolate (we asked for the sauce on the side) was good, and apparently the two were better together, although I appreciated them separately. I would have liked to try their espresso as they have a beautiful machine at the bar, but we were beyond full at the end of our meal. I've eaten here two or three times over the years. they have good Chimichurri sauce which is oil, vinegar, onions, garlic and herbs. Another time I had Sweetbread which is not a bread at all but I believe it is either the thymus or pancreas of a cow and is fatty and white and yummy. Sitting outside is a pleasant and inside has lots of interesting decoration. Go with some friends and don't forget to try the Yerba Mate tea which is an interesting experience because of the way it's brewed. read more

Outstanding! My wife is from Argentina, and with few TRUE Argentine options in Orlando, Choo-Choo's nailed it. We enjoyed empanadas, provoleta, milanesa de pollo, papas con mayonesa de ajo (such a unique flavor), & paradilla served by a pleasant staff in a cozy atmosphere. The setting was perfect for a formal date night as well as a casual date night, an evening with the family (our setting) or to grab a bite with a friend. Highly recommended! One point I can't stress enough is that this is traditional Argentine food served by Argentine people. In too many locations throughout the city and suburbs, there are often restaurants that offer "authentic" nationality-based food that is anything but. This place is AUTHENTIC Argentine cuisine. They are also known for their unique and delicious 'churros', a typical Argentine treat for cold winter afternoons to enjoy with hot chocolate or a cup of coffee. I rarely leave bad reviews just because I've always been taught if you have nothing good to say just keep it to yourself, but in this case I'd be doing a disservice by not posting our experience here recently. First of all, the outside appearance of the restaurant looks a bit tacky but I always say never judge a book by its cover. We happened to be the only guests arriving at 6pm. We were a party of 7 people. We were greeted by an older gentleman who seemed very nice at first. He never served us any menus and told us he will be serving us parrilladas by person and provided us with empanadas as our appetizer. My mom had asked for Milanesa and he said they didn't have any milanesa there. We were shocked as that is a sin for any argentine restaurant not to have such a signature dish available considering we are the first table they are serving dinner to. We shrugged it off and went with his plan for empanadas and parrilladas. The empanadas came out and they were ok. My daughter was chewing her empanada and happened to find a piece of hard clear sharp plastic the size of a dime in her empanada! I was glad my daughter didn't swallow this as I'm sure it would have caused some serious internal damage if she didn't happen to find this in time. We brought the older gentleman over so we can tell him what we found and the only thing he told us was "oh no sorry did you want another empanada? We can replace it". He didn't seem too bothered by it at all. We didn't want to eat anymore of the empanadas after that especially seeing how he didn't seem very apologetic about it either. The parrilladas came in and he gives us double the amount we had asked for. As the bill came out I see he charged us an astronomical amount for subpar food and service. I unfortunately needed to use the restroom and find out they are doing some "remodeling" and the bathroom is located outside the back of the restaurant. I'm horrified by its location and lack of sanitary conditions. To charge as much as they do, they really need to put more effort into the appearance, service and quality of food. It's awful when you see no effort from the owner to make something right. He is only worried about charging you as much as possible even if it means cutting corners (and I mean a lot of corners). You will definitely never see me there ever again. read more

I have been to this restaurant twice, and have generally had a great experience! The service is great, the two times I have been my party was personally greeted at the door and seated, and since it is a tiny restaurant we felt as if we were in someone's home. Unfortunately, the second time we went we were a larger party and two of the people in the party (including myself) were seated against the wall infront of the espresso machine where the AC vent did not hit us....it felt like an inferno! So beware of that corner if you go! As for the food...I have had the Chursscao steak-Vacia (trimmed of fat) 22.95$, and their Mucho Gaucho Platter (22.95$) with churassco and beef rib (which is literally a steak with a some bone in it!). Both cuts of meat were excellent, juicy (even though I ordered medium-well), and well seasoned. I have also tried their blood sausage and Chorizo, both of which are excellent! With all of their entrees you get freshly baked bread and a salad, and a choice of white rice or french fries. The rice is good, but the fries are "okay." At most steak houses you would expect that the potatoes be cut in-house and fried fresh. These fries were good, but were obviously frozen, and there was no consistency in the brand they use for the fries. The first time I went to Choo Choo's they had crinkly fries, that were a little too crispy for my taste, and the second time they had steak fries that were a little softer. On the other hand their churros were AMAZING and tasted like the kind my grandmother used to make crisp on the outside and soft on the inside, and you can get a dulce de leche or guava filling as well. I gave this place a 4 because of the inconsistncy with the fries, and lack of AC, and the overall priceyness. read more

My first visit. I have no experience with Argentine food. I ordered the Churasco, Bife de Chorizo, which is a strip steak. It was very flavorful, though chewier than I expected. The rice was great. For desert, I had a delicious churros filled with a chocolaty concoction. I arrived very early, around 5:30 pm on a Sunday. The owners, who were also the servers during my visit, were very likable. When I asked about the beef, he was forthcoming that he could not serve Argentine beef, due to import restrictions. He said it was cut like Argenttine beef, had never been frozen, and was black angus. I must mention the bread. It was a hot, small loaf served with a terrific herb butter, and it was delicious! I dined on the patio, which was....er...rustic. Not unlike a fish camp decor, without the nets on the wall. I didn't get a chance to see the inside. It was OK for me, but it's the only steak house I would not bring my wife to. read more

Anyways, the steak was so yummy and tender. The sauces were interesting, almost a little too strong for me but I liked it. The bread is simple but warm...I love warm bread! And it comes with some really good butter. The only bad part about my meal were the fries...they could definitely make better fries but that is not the focal point of the meal so that's ok. Second food is over priced and the food isnt good. The empandas were pure fried bread hardly any meat inside of them. We ordered a parillada (60$) for 2 seemed like it was for 1 (35$) , i over heard the manager say "the difference between the too were one had an extra sausage" wow, what a big price jump for a sausage. Third, they decided to give us the rice after we finished our food; which is included in the meal. Bathrooms are nasty, they are located next to the kitchen imagine all the bacteria floating around, just disgusting. We are never coming back to this place! Very strange location. Its hard to tell if the restaurant us even open. Fabulous food but a little pricey. Luckily we had a restaurant.com certificate although they were also advertising all meals 30% off. We had the parillada which came sizzling on its on heated contraption. Meat was delicious, even the sweetbreads which I had never tried. The rice was average. Next time I'll try the fries. Of course, the chimichirri was to die for. Service was just average. We (my girlfriend and I ) walk in after a work out and sit down to order food. We asked for a cup of ice to put our gatorade in. Now, we understand that outside food and drinks normally are not permitted, but we figured, they saw the drink, they should have at least told us, "we do not allow outside drinks" or say, "we charge for having outside drinks" prior to giving us the cup of ice. So they give us the glass of ice and we go ahead and put our drink in (they have not told us anything at this point). Ten minutes later the manager comes in and says "I don't allow outside drinks, so I charged you $3 for each cup that had gatorade in it." I work at a restaurant so I have an idea how restaurants work. Every restaurant I have been to at LEAST has a sign stating they would be charged before hand for having outside drinks. Some restaurants would have signs stating outside drinks/food are prohibited. The restaurant I work at does not allow outside drinks but servers would inform you to either chuck it or put it away-not automatically charge you. The drink we had could have easily been put away and we ordered at least $50 worth of food. So we state our case to the manager saying that we just got done from working out the manager retorted, "That's not my problem!" in a very rude manner. Because he was already starting to be rude about this he pushed me to say, "Alright well thank you but I think we have to go then." He yells at me, "Get the FU*K out of here!" and then he throws the drink at me as I try to get my belongings from the floor. It gets on my phone, my bluetooth headset, etc. I understand if he was frustrated, but to use such profanity and throw 2 drinks at a customer is COMPLETELY unacceptable. read more
