So I just went here for the first time and because I was trying to hurry and order- I ordered the wrong thing! I was embarrassed when I got my food and went back up to purchase a different salad- not making a fuss- it was totally my fault! Stopped in on a hot day for a cool salad. It was our first time here and the girl behind the counter was friendly and helpful. I got a greek chop with chicken and dressing on the side. My boyfriend got a caesar chop with dressing tossed in. They give you a generous amount of dressing on the side, and when tossed in they managed not to make his caesar soggy or gloopy. They have great portions, definitely it will fill you up. The salads themselves were delicious and really refreshing. The chopped nature made them really easy to eat. They have a lot of options too for customization: toppings, wraps, bowls etc. And the price is right. I'll definitely go back and try more options. read more

Been here a few times with my husband to grab a quick bite to eat when we're on the go. I've had the Asian Chop done "Burrito Style" which is wrapped in a whole wheat tortilla, and I've had the Vegan Bowl, which is so far my fave. As long as you leave the dressings off- or off to the side, which I did with my Asian Chop, you are eating light and healthy. The portions are sized very fairly and it kept me full for an entire afternoon. My only qualm is that it does take a while to wait for your food. I walk in about 9pm on a weekday with a friend, excited to try this place out, considering a few good reviews from other friends. We walk inside, glare at the menu for a few minutes and are ready to order. I walk up to the counter, upon which the cashier leans and I am distraught. Maybe it was too much of me to expect being greeted? The dialogue between myself and the cashier went as such: Cashier: :::blank stare::: Me: We'll have the Greek Chop, make that two Cashier: You want the receipt Me: Nah, it's ok Cashier: :::walks away::: No one is perfect and everyone has their off days (hence why I will leave out the cashiers name), however, this level of customer experience (or lack of) is unacceptable. We had intended on eating inside, but after this rude encounter we chose to leave. Even as we walked out, past the same cashier, who was now mopping the floor, not once was our presence acknowledged. Unwelcoming, to say the least. My review was mainly compelled by the lack of service at Chop Stop as well as a lack of restrooms. On a positive note, the food was enjoyable and I MIGHT be tempted to come back, but not for a long while. read more

The food was mediocre and the customer service was worse. My boyfriend and I decided to try this new place because we like healthy food. The menu was pretty nice and it was great that I could create my own meal, however when we got up to the counter the woman behind it had a very bad attitude. I told her my order and she was very condescending and corrected me when I was confused as to what the menu meant on a couple of things. When we received our order they served it as a salad instead of a wrap as we asked and we had to wait for them to remake it. Apparently tuna (alone, not tuna salad) is considered a "premium" topping for an additional cost. I kind of expected for the employee to tell me it was going to be additional cost since tuna (alone, again not tuna salad) is not listed on the menu board. Like Chipotle for example, we ALL know guac is extra because the employee told us before putting it in our bowl or burrito or whatever. Sooo, now I know for next visit. I really wanted to like this place, but I just didn't enjoy their food. I chose to make my own salad, with romaine lettuce, tomatoes, carrots, grilled chicken, parmesan cheese, and balsamic vinaigrette dressing. It cost almost $10, and it tasted like a cheap salad from McDonald's. Now, maybe that's because of the ingredients I chose, but I had a salad from a different restaurant composed of the same ingredients and it tasted a million times better. You have to pay extra for certain things, like chicken, and parmesan cheese. But I really don't see why. The grilled chicken may have been grilled at one point, but it tasted like extra-salty deli meat. The parmesan was nothing special either. The service was good, and the people who work there are friendly. There are a few small tables if you want to eat there, but it looked like most people got their salads to go. I may go back to experiment with a more fancy type of salad, maybe add apples, egg, or walnuts. But I would definitely not recommend a plain type of salad, like the one I ordered. read more

My first time at Chop Stop. I was looking for something healthy. I made my own Chop with spinach and 6 toppings. Not a bad deal except that I didn't see much of the toppings. I found a few tomato shavings and random bits of hard boiled egg. I would have given 4 stars but the toppings seemed to be really lacking. Please be a little more generous with the toppings. The salads are very tasty, and they price isn't too high, where the problem lies is in the customer service. Over the last few weeks every order has been wrong, and lately we've been receiving completely salads then the ones we ordered. This type of salad is my favorite, BUT, they chop the celery, walnuts, and apples into itty bitty bits that you can barely taste them once the dressing is tossed in. Alls I see is a MOUNTAIN of lettuce. I'm use to chunks of apples, celery, and walnuts, but you won't get that at the Chop Stop. Sure, they give you a crap load of salad for $10, enough to feed two people. If you're into finely shredded up lettuce with tiny pieces of ingredients, then this is the place for you. Good food at a good price, I only wish there was one of these near me. I had the Santa Fe Salad and for less than $10 I had a very large salad full of goodies, though they did kind of skimp on the chicken, but at that price I was fully expecting it. I'd recommend ordering light dressing since I ordered it and still ended up with quite a bit of dressing. Don't bring a big group here since there isn't much space to sit down, also you'll usually have a wait in line from what I can tell so prepare for that.
