My daughter loves salads and found this place on Yelp so we thought we'd give it a try. You can either choose a salad they have already created, you can make your own or you can put any salad into a wrap. It's a small place but has quite a few tables. There was a weird smell, I think it may have been cleaning products but I'm not sure.. My daughter decided to make her own salad. It was almost $15 which unfortunately seems to be a common price anywhere for a decent salad but in my head I always think how inexpensive vegetables are, how can they charge so much for lettuce. The lady who took our order seemed new and referred to her lead for any of her questions. When I checked in it gave me a 15% off coupon, so we used that. Brought the salad just under $13. Torn between two ratings. Feeling like a fool. I actually thought this place was gonna be a local place not the chain that it is. A chain that specializes in salads. Chopped salads to be specific. I also was expecting more of a "MOD" or Subway style of meal prep. Instead the food is ordered and prepared in the kitchen in the back. There are a number of signature chopped salads to choose from that are "designed" to be good. But they also have a build your own salad as well. You get salad and 8 toppings for $9...with additional charges for upgrades and more toppings. I got their Classic and only added some onions for 75 cents. Not sure I like the pricing structure. Seems to be designed to nickle and dime the more particular eaters...which a salad place is focused on anyway. The Salad was substantial enough to satisfy my salad craving. The "regular" level of dressing was a little too light and since there was an upcharge for an additional dressing...I decided to just pass. Another reviewer pointed at my biggest problem. The chopped salad is just not my kind of salad. It's almost like it's been half chewed for me. Maybe as I get older this will be great. But I'm still eating my food like the whippersnapper that I am. So I'm a salad girl, I love salads. This place gets it! Everything is chopped small (no whole slices of tomato and meat laid on top of my salad I'm looking at you Subway). I choose dressing on the side but the bowl is large so I can easily toss the dressing well with the salad. They have an amazing variety of toppings! I get the build-your-own chop and choose different toppings every time. My family has chosen the Santa Fe, Cobb, Caesar, and Asian Chops. I haven't seen a place like this since I lived in NYC. What a great fast lunch/early dinner option in a town full of some really unhealthy choices! I love that you can customize your bowl and put so many fresh and healthy things in it! One regular size bowl with two scoops of protein can easily be two meals. They have a drive up window for coffee and anything else your heart desires, but there is also ample seating inside. Parking is right in front of the shop and the gals working here are super friendly. I insisted on coming here for lunch one day with my mom and she was so impressed we ordered the same thing for lunch the very next day with a simple switch of the protein option. The toppings we got weren't as fresh as we'd expected, and just overchopped to the point of being lost in the overwhelming amounts of finely minced lettuce. Dressings didn't make it through a third of the salads. Not one of the four salads we brought home were nibbled on past the small layer of meh toppings. At least the bowls went to recycling. I enjoy getting their salads, but last couple of times they are in a rush and don't read the full order ticket. I like to get half romaine and half quinoa and they keep forgetting to put the romaine so I end up with quinoa bowls instead. Order it on the website and the ticket is correct on the outside of my bag but get home and start stirring up my salad and there's no salad. The owner/manager invited me back after my last review, and I accepted. I was super satisfied with my return! So was my husband. He got a chopuritto and I got the Cobb salad. What do I think about this place? Not bad... Not had at all. But I do have some issues. First, the good stuff. The salads. I got the sante fe, my wife got the Cobb. She absolutely loved hers. Perfect size, she said. Me? I liked mine just fine. Really good flavor, too. I liked the amount of toppings in it. It was nice salad. But, honestly, I was still hungry afterwards. The salads aren't cheap. You pay $10-$15, depending on what you get. When you pay that, there is an expectation of being "full" but that's not gonna happen with a salad. By mindful of that. Also, the drinks only come in one size. No small medium large here. One size only. 16 ounces? 24 ounces? Somethin like that. You can buy a snack size bag of chips to go with it, too. Will we go here again? Probably at some point. I wouldn't eat here a lot though. Why? I have a hard time justifying spending $30 bucks for two bowls of salad, a small drink, and a snack size bag of chips. To me, a salad is a side item. Not a meal. For me, I'd need somethin more substantial to feel satisfied. But, my wife likes it, so I'll probably be back here to buy her somethin. Also, I realize my bias against salad as a meal. So. We've been eyeing the Chop Stop for several weeks, even stopping by a couple times but never walking in. The location is always completely empty, every time we drive by. To be fair, it's almost always in the evening, between 5:30-8, but it's just bizarre that there is never any other customers there. Well, we're glad we did walk in. We were greeted with a friendly introduction to their menu & explanation of how things work. We decided on a couple of pre-determined salad options and customized them to our liking. We ordered our salads & a couple of pretzels to-go and waited patiently. Before I talk to the quality of the food, we were asked if we needed to use the bathroom while we were waiting. The gal wanted to clean the bathroom & wanted to make sure we didn't need to use it before she did. This was quite nice, but ended up being a little off putting later - as the same gal that was cleaning the bathroom was running back and forth to help with making our food. We couldn't see what was going on in the back or how much she was helping with the actual food preparation (verses just giving directions & support), so we just tried our best to pretend it didn't happen. The salads themselves were fresh & ingredients were mixed well together. Out of two salads, one of us got the salad dressing tossed in the salad - the other got it on the side - neither salad had enough dressing on it. We've never considered ourselves the "extra dressing type" (not that there's anything wrong with it), but we will be when we return to the Chop Stop. It needed about 25% more dressing in my opinion. The salad was also a very good portion - we were full from our salads before they were even gone. The pretzel was a nice touch with the salad - I'd wanted soup but the only one they had was not an interest to me. Saw this on Yelp and thought I would try it for lunch. The salads are fresh and tossed well. You can choose to have it tossed with dressing or on the side. You can even have your salad put in a wrap if you like. I really liked that it was a true chopped salad where everything is the same size. I know I already said it was fresh but it was amazing like I just made it at home. It is a little expensive at over $9 but you get a lot for the price. I gave them 4 stars because were short staffed the day I was there and they weren't handling it well. I also asked to have my salad with no cucumbers and I got cucumbers. I did see two people returning with their salads while I was there but they seemed to leave happy after the problem was corrected. This place is fast, convenient (drive-thru), and healthy, which you don't find much of in this area of town. I ordered the classic choppurito wrap, which was huge and had a ton of various veggies, chicken, and rice in a whole wheat tortilla. I would of added some more sauce on it because it was a bit dry. But that's the great thing about this place, the customizations are endless! I will say the price is steep (almost $14 for my wrap) but i chose not to deduct stars because the ingredients are fresh, high quality, and generous. Nevertheless, a bit more than I'd like to pay but with inflation it's totally understandable. Staff is always nice and helpful. Another lunchtime venture! Being in the area and looking around I remember seeing a Salad sign and wanting to pop over nothing like taking a pause to regain some fuel in a healthy way. After showing menu pictures to my coworker we both agreed to come check it out. We were warmly greeted and asked if we had been in before. Both of us being newbies were explained the menu and variety of ordering options. I decided to order a menu item that was on the list of salads- the Viva Mexico chop except to not have a spicy dish I added Lemon Vinagrette dressing. It was delicious and felt like a never ending bowl. I liked the variety of texture and also like the make your own bowl full of endless options to be able to throw in the salad. Very disappointed. I ordered a cobb chopped salad for delivery and added beets for $0.99. The total of the salad was over $17. As you can see from the picture there was barely any chicken; I would say no more than a half an ounce of roasted chicken, almost no boiled eggs. I would say maybe a half of a boiled egg chopped up. Maybe a quarter of an avocado chopped up, and a tablespoon or two of chopped up beets. It was 96% lettuce. It must be a huge profit margin because all of these ingredients probably totaled no more than $4. I'm actually having to boil a couple of eggs to add to the salad. I'm sorry, but I feel it was a complete rip off. I really do hate to say that but buyer beware. read more

This wasn't at all what I expected; however, I really enjoyed my salad! I love that you can make up your own salad- I already know what I want to put together for next time. For my first experience, though, I decided to pick a suggested combo off their menu. I went with the Greek Chop and added chicken. This is the PERFECT Greek salad. Well-balanced blend of flavors, large amounts of toppings, good salty-savory-tangy-slightly sweet combo, super fresh ingredients. And the chicken isn't dry! And green olives!! I love green olives. Plus, it was a very large and filling salad. My daughter also loved her Tuna salad. But my husband chose the BBQ salad and something is just not quite on the mark with that one. It was so strong in BBQ flavor that he couldn't finish it. I tried a bite. It really was not very good. It was very one-note, instead of the amazing medley of flavors mine had.
