*This review is for Attending Birthday Parties* Much better than the other CEC near Eagle Rock. This location is better laid-out so people are less likely to CRUSH each other. And, mercifully, they don't blast music on top of all the other CEC music, announcements, game chimes and dings that will cover the airwaves already. Been here twice -- yesterday and a few years ago. The pizza and cake is, presumably, the same. The parking here is also closer to the venue (as long as you can score parking, that is). The staff was pretty friendly and the hosts seem to really be trying to help kids have a memorable birthday. The ticket redeem machines were down. On a bank of three machines, only one worked. Grrrr. Some of the games had a bit of a sticky throat --- making tokens not always register. As long as you hunt someone down, you'll at least get your coin back. It could be worse. I was actually very pleasantly surprised with this place when I came here for a small birthday gathering my friend was having for her daughters 2nd birthday. The place is pretty big, but it is a complete madhouse! Both outside in the parking lot and inside with kids going absolutely insane. First thought when I walked in, omg they have a lo jack system going here. They give you tags with a special number on them so you only walk out of there with your own kids. Sorry, the one I have is enough right now thankyouverymuch! But I get the concept and do think its a good idea. I thought the food was pretty delicious. Overpriced to the max, but still really good. I was really happy with my hot dog, it was cooked well and had a pigs in a blanket type casing around it. The pizza my friend got was really good too. I love the little Chuckie sippie cups too. My friends daughter set her cup down on accident in the game room and another kid totally ran off with it. Staff replaced the cup for free, which I can imagine wouldn't be free most of the time. Staff is friendly and seem happy to be there. I like going to places where attitude is left at the door. The game attendant came by and gave two tokens to my friends daughter since it was her second birthday. Totally nice. Oh, and you can count on every kid in the place running like mad people to get to Chuckie when he comes out. I was literally almost ran over by a stampede of little people that couldn't wait to shake it with the big man. Pleasantly surprised! When I had kids I was dreading having to take them to Chuck E Cheese's! Oh, the horror stories I'd heard! Tales of terrible pizza, snotty nosed kids running wild, germ infested ball pits, salad bars, and a giant dancing man in a mouse suit scared the bejeezus out of me. Because, I knew one day I would hear THAT phrase, "mama, take me to Chuck E Cheese's!" So, it happened. The request was made, and I could avoid it no longer. Aaaaand...... It was pretty awesome actually!! I'd been looking for a place I could relax and dare i say enjoy a beer or glass of wine while my older child ran about, explored and played until amply tuckered out. Well, this isn't totally that place but, sort of. It may be that place for parents of slightly older kids. I had to chase after them but at least I know they're not escaping without me. For safety, family members get matching blacklight stamps and no one gets out without being checked. Together, we hopped from one arcade game to the next. Even my one year old was getting into it. They love getting those strips of paper tickets that they can trade in for a cheap Chinese toy on the way out. Those machines just spit em out like crazy. It's like winning a jackpot in vegas! Some of the rides take photos of the kids and print them out for them to keep. All games are just one token or 25 cents. There are all kind of coupons available for tokens and food. Check for them online, they're worth it. As for that pizza, they must have done a focus group or something about the dreadful food there. Because it was shockingly good. It was thin and crusty and brushed wih garlic oil. Not bad, not bad at all! I noticed posters plastered about bragging about the new pizza. So, something must have changed. At least at this location. And everything was super clean, including the bathrooms. My only complaint is that I wish there was a tad more to physically get the kids moving. There is just one, single story tunnel climbie thingie and the rest are all arcade games. And a note to the MCs, you may wanna turn the volume down jusssst a tad. I took my son to come play at Chuck E. Cheese I decided to order him a personal pizza. My first thought is this is too over priced for a personal pan pizza $9??? For that small of a pizza not to mention the long ass wait for a small ass pizza. And it just keeps getting worse from there like the pizza didn't stretch out.. it looked like they pulled different slices and put them on this pizza and warmed it up like it doesn't look the way a normal pizza should look the crust don't even line up... honestly they need to get their shit together.. read more

I was trying to let HR take care of the situation but obviously they can care less. I had the most horrendous experience at this Chuck E. Cheese a month ago. As my family and I were waiting to be checked out a guy had come up to us using racial slurs and trying to punch the gentlemen I was with. Obviously he had way too much to drink and no one could really contain him. We never met this man or even knew he was in the building. We had been laughing at some coworkers making out in the back and just shocked at how intense it was. Long story short one employee(young man) was holding him off as we were trying to just leave. That's when a manager had come from the back screaming specifically at us to "get the "F*** out!!". I could not believe my ears but she had repeated it again and was looking towards us. We tried to explain the situation but she wasn't hearing it. When we got our child in the car, my kid's Father tried to go in and explain the situation but no one and I mean NOBODY tried to look at him or even acknowledge he had come back. I called the cops and the manager says she did as well, so there's proof there. I tried to speak to the GM the following day and she told me that HR was taking care of it and gave us two coupons for that Chuck E. Cheese(which we will not use) and I've even spoken to Mindy from HR about it. Neither one of them seem to know or was notified that the manager was cursing at us and kicking us out when we did not do anything and was just trying to leave. I could already tell from the tone of Mindy(HR) she did not care and it seems the managers were trying to cover their own tail. The manager didn't even apologize for cursing at us as I had spoken to her as well the following day. So I ask the following residence of Burbank to not come here anymore because things like this should not be tolerated and unrecognized in our community. My 5 year old had to hear his Father be called the N word repeatedly and we were treated as if we did not belong here. I've endured this as a child in this city, I don't want the same for my children or theirs. read more

I remember going to Chuck E. Cheese's in the 80's when I was a kid and I loved it despite how dark, unsanitary, and gross the food was looking back retrospectively. You'd spend a good 90 minutes playing games collecting tickets just to get a slinky that you could get at the 99 cent store. Thankfully in 2017 we've made a lot of progress, or at least this Burbank location has. They got rid of that dreadful coin system and introduced a credit card that tracks how many games you can play. It's much brighter than I remember and the setup is more open so parents can mostly see where their kids are. The pizza now tastes like pizza so that's good but it still isn't great pizza by any means. Downside is that kids still play for 90 minutes, collect hundreds of tickets but walk away with the same tired old slinky. It also takes awhile to cash in the tickets at those ticket chomping machines. Particularly when the person ahead of you does it one ticket at a time. The whole crew was amazing and helped us with everything we had questions on, one person in specific caught my eye! We recently hosted our son's 4th birthday party at this location and it was a success. We had over 50 guests and our hostess Stephanie was AMAZING!! She made sure all my guest were well taken care of and if I needed additional platters they were served in a timely manner. Had a bday party here for my child. Our host, Elizabeth, was incredibly sweet! The host next who was hosting the party next to us, Samantha, was god awful. Although she was pretty as hell..her attitude was shitty. She pushed my child out of the way when she was walking by, as if she were too good to say "Excuse me". We had about an hour left of our party when Samantha started cleaning everything up. She took our cups and when we told her we weren't done with them, she offered them back..after she put her dirty ass fingers in them lol gross. She told me it wasn't her problem and to contact the rewards program. I explained it is her problem, she's the manager, she needs to figure out how to fix the minutes on my daughters card. She told me no, it's not her problem. She then accused me of not being honest about the amount of minutes saying "well I don't see it and the cashier is on break." I know she has the ability to fix the card, she just didn't want to. I asked her to please add minutes for the time spent dealing with this and she told me it wasn't her problem that I didn't pause the card. I wouldn't recommend this buffet. The pizza is hard and dry. I have been here for 11 to 3 pm and they brought new pizza at least three times. The salid bar is just as bad. It's just chunks of lettuce with some croutons and dressing. Can't believe I paid $7.49 for hard pizza and a terrible lettuce because it can't be called a salid bar that's for sure. Three time coming to this place all the way from LA to get hard food. Don't get me started on the restroom. A kids locked all the doors and no one came to unlocked them. For our daughter's birthday this year we decided to book a reservation with Chuck E Cheese. Our party time was for Saturday at 12:30pm. Prior to the date of our party, Veronica, (I believe she was the party planner) called me to make sure we had the right number of attendees registered. She also explained how the day of the event would play out. It was at this time that I was also able to pre-order food for our party so it'd arrive on time that day. Veronica was extremely patient with me. I had my hands full with my kids when we were on the phone. So I must say it wasn't crowded at all at this time or on this day. Upon our arrival, our hostess met with us and helped us carry in our cake. She was very pleasant throughout the entire event. (I wish I could remember her name.) She was very patient with our party when it came time for us all to gather for food, cake, and the birthday song. I was very pleased with our food. We just ordered pizza, but it was absolutely delicious. Our food was prepared and ready for us on time. Drinks were served at a timely manner and even refilled for us without me even noticing. Overall, our hostess was right on top of everything and was super pleasant. I have seen this Chuck E Cheese establishment get dirty from other customers' carelessness. However, on this day I thought it was very well kept. I think most of the games worked. (We let the kids run freely, and none came back to say that games were broken.) Overall, I was very pleased with how everything went. I had already felt overwhelmed with making sure our daughter had everything she needed to be happy on her special day. It was nice to have someone else there to help clean up and take care of us. At the end of it all, our daughter walked away with great memories with her best friends and family. I had not been here since Covid and I was very pleased with my visit. I don't know if it was because of Mother's Day but the place was very nice and not overly crowded. I like the fact that no matter where you choose to sit you can see the whole place and keep your eyes on your party the whole time. I hate to give this location a 2 stars but compared to what it was a few years ago, it's heading down in the wrong direction. First, they completely took out the overhead maze playground and slide, my daughter loved that thing. Second, it always seems like there is always a shortened staff here, 1 person taking food orders, 1 person greeting people at the door, which is usually the same person trying to also help the kids redeem their tickets for prizes. It's a bit chaotic coming here if you're not celebrating a birthday. Finally, they took away the tokens, so now you have to swipe a card to play, I still don't know how to feel about that but it takes some time to get used to. We waited 44 minutes for a pizza that was actually 3 pizzas spliced together form older pizzas. We asked for a refund and left. The manager was apologetic as it was packed with 3-4 birthday parties and tons of people on a Wednesday. They should have hired more staff for the night. Do not come here! Save yourself a trip money and time. Go to a different location. I have never had such a bad experience at a Chuck E. Cheese, in fact at a kids play place. There is literally 4 workers here on a Saturday night with a big party going on as well. I ordered ONE pizza and 50 mins later I asked where's my order and they just kept saying they would check. My pizza came out extremely cold and hard. It was so cold that the cheese was super hard to chew on and the bread was stale. My 6 year old was really hungry she has been waiting for an hour or so for one pizza so she immediately got her slice of pizza. I complained to an employee my situation and he said "we can't do anything about it once it's touched" I told him I need to see the manager and he said the manager was busy in the back room. After we dealt with out disgusting food, the place got busy and they announced on their speakers "everyone's order is a one hour wait due to all the orders" The line for prizes was insane, the salad bar was gross, the restrooms looked like public park restrooms, there was no napkins at any tables, the ticket machines were out of service, the photo booth didn't print out he photos...I can go on. Went to this location in Burbank on Wednesday 11/2/2022 it wasn't too busy at all, there was plenty of staff, not sure what they were doing because the place was a mess!! the only employee I saw doing everything since we arrived was Matt he's amazing!!! he was the only person trying to do the most helping out everywhere... everyone else was just standing around looking clueless.. others were sitting down, I think taking a break maybe. the only reason I'm doing this review is for Matt he deserves recognition, poor guy was practically the only one working & trying to organize & clean.. I was observing everyone & he seemed to be the only employee doing the most.. Thank you Matt for helping us from the beginning, we were a party of 8 + a baby... we really appreciate the work u were doing u don't go unnoticed!! Let's be honest, I'm in my 30's and I'd honestly rather be at Dave N Buster because it's booze friendly, but when my friends have parties for their kids, this is the place they turn to. I must admit, this location is pretty clean, and the staff is very helpful and super friendly. They have such amazing patience to deal with loud, rowdy kids. Trust me, I work at an elementary school. But at Chuck E. Cheese, it's frigging anarchy with kids! lol If you're looking for a place to celebrate your little one's birthday, I recommend this one over the Eagle Rock location. The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly The Good: I have been taking my son to the Burbank Chuck E. Cheese's for about a year (he's 5). We have gone five or six times and, all in all, our experiences have been positive (I should mention that he has never been disappointed!). They stamp children and their accompanying adults with matching stamps which appear invisible under normal light. All who exit are checked with a blacklight, revealing the stamps, thereby ensuring that no one but the adult who entered with a given child leaves with that child. The game prices are reasonable - one token per game - and tokens can be had for 20-25 cents each, depending on how many you buy. Twenty bucks keeps us busy for as much as two hours of games, turning in tickets and exchanging them for "valuable" prizes (do not expect a positive, financial return on your investment!) The games work. I have been to places where a significant number of games are "out of order", but there is very little of that here. The food is decent; not in the sense that I would go to a restaurant for a Chuck E. Cheese's meal, but it serves its purpose - to give parents and kids a break and offer a variety of choices. They have a salad bar, pizza, wings and more. There are deals for tokens and food which offer significant savings, as well. The bathrooms are clean. The Bad: Poor traffic flow. I mean, inside the place. On the gaming floor, there are places where the games are so close together, that on a busy day, it is a challenge to get from one part of the room to the other. My son is four feet tall and had to double back and look for alternate routes due to human traffic jams. It reminded me of Boston's "North End", with its narrow streets. Easy to get around if no one else is there, but how often is that? There are a couple of bad bottlenecks which you cannot avoid. The ticket-redeeming machines are located on the main walkway which is narrow. To make matters worse, it is only a short distance from the kitchen, restrooms, and the area where all the birthday parties are held. I stood in a line that crossed this busy, narrow walkway, while holding nearly four hundred tickets. Only one of the machines was working. Nightmare. The other bottleneck is the prize counter where you redeem the ticket you got from the machine. There is a counter usually staffed by one to three employees. There is no sign or velvet rope or any indicator of any kind to show where a line, if one exists, begins. Veterans of this CEC's will figure out that it starts on the right and goes left, but the kids often mob the prize counter and uninitiated adults will inadvertently cut the line, which can clearly lead to heated discussions between stressed-out parents who are going to naturally be defensive of their kids. It is a major problem with a simple solution which is being ignored by management. The Ugly: The prizes suck. And if your response is, "What do you expect?!", then shame on you! Prizes that suck cost CEC half-a-penny each. Prizes that don't suck would cost them a penny each. CEC would not feel the pain of slightly improving the quality of their prizes. I'm cool with the candy; it does what it is supposed to do. And some of the multi-thousand ticket items don't seem too shabby, but a lot of the stuff is just so poorly made that it works once, if at all. My poor kid has brought home squirtguns that don't squirt, fake-spring-loaded-cockroach-in-the-wrigley's gum-packs whose springs break as soon as they are used and, worst of all, whoopie cushions that sound-off once or not at all. I should not have to explain the concept of planned obsolescence to a 5-year-old. I should be watching him clown people with the fake roach thing, like I did when I was 5! Screwing the kids out of prizes they earned is just bullshit. My son smiles the whole time we are inside and then he's frowning in the parking lot because his crappy prize broke in his hand or never worked to begin with. So, there it is. I will go back, because I have to and I will like some of it, tolerate most of it, and really hate part of it - bad move by CEC that the last impression is the worst. read more

Let me start by telling my side of what the Burbank Shopper called, "The Meltdown At Puppet Town." For starters, I work HARD and sometimes the stress of daily life really takes a toll. So when my son Magnus chose this place to have his Sweet Six, I knew I would be in for a bumpy ride. The night started off pretty well as I was able to find a parking spot right up front for my stretch Pontiac Aztec limo. It's rare that I find six spots to park this in and street parking can be a nightmare, but I digress. I put in our order and hit a snag right out of the gate. My oldest son Ragnor loves his tapanade, which I was told over the phone would be available as a special order. Well that wasn't the case so I just had to hope he would be satisfied with the watered down horchata I had in the car from the burrito place I visited for lunch. Horchata makes him sleepy, so not a total disaster, but disappointing for sure. When Emily from the kitchen brought out our pizzas she tripped over my Jansport backpack that I had jam packed with some...adult magazines that I had for a research project for a correspondence school class I'm taking. When she tripped, her foot broke the zipper and porno mags shot out of the zipper opening like a hot geyser of Juggs. The humiliation was the half of my worries as kids flocked to the magazines as they swirled in the air. Of all the bad luck, a copy of Barely 18 fell right on the table of a local pastor...right on the Centerfold. He didn't believe that I was doing some research and had some harsh words for me. I tried to apologize, but he just kept accusing me of being the devil's pawn. I could only take so much of his abuse before I lost my composure. I punched the pastor in the face, but as I was about to land the punch I slipped on a banana peel that my son Montel left on the floor as a joke. The joke was on me alright! I fell backwards and in an attempt to gain my balance I ended up punching his wife right between the eyes breaking her Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Awareness sunglasses. Mayhem ensued and I was fending off blows from children of all ages. I know the kids were innocent in all of this, but when you take enough of those tiny fists you just have to fight back. I punched everything in sight and I did not miss the irony of the Whack-A-Mole game in the distance. By the time the police woke me up both my fists were the size of Christmas hams, I guess I blacked out. I'll definitely be back now that the restraining order misunderstanding has been ironed out with corporate. You just can't keep a good man down. read more

What's more important that we haven't been notified about the fact that our order that included two beers is not going to be ready before we leave. We asked for a manager to complain but the waiting time for a manager was even more than for pizzas. This location is run down and dirty. One person taking orders and not taking them correctly. (Thanks for not getting the wings). I waited in line twice for about a total of 45 minutes during my 2 1/2 hour visit. Waited 5 minutes for the girl taking orders to get the box of apple juice I ordered. I had to ask for someone to refill items at the salad bar. Machines were broken and out of tickets (zero staff checking the floor). One of the soda machines wasn't dispensing soda. Perhaps a new manager is in order. On the plus side, the pizza was hot and actually tasty. Get the stuffed crust. Even thought I did not enjoy my visit, my granddaughter did and that's really all that matters. Too bad Kids Castle closed down or we would be going there instead. I recently had my daughter's first birthday at this Chuck E Cheese and let me tell you, it was a great experience! My daughter had 10 children (8 boys and 2 girls) and 30 adults attend her party. It was only 2 hours but that was enough time for food, cake, presents and Chuck E time. Here are some highlights of why I think this Chuck E Cheese deserves 5 stars: 1. CLEANLINESS - I was surprised. The salad bar area was kept very clean. The play area was also kept clean and most importantly, the party area was kept clean. Our party hostess did an excellent job in keeping our tables and party area clean. 2. Chuck E and the staff were friendly - Some of the kids were scared of Chuck E so Chuck E didn't pressure them to socialize with him. Chuck E interacted not only with the kids at the party but the adults as well. That was pretty neat. The staff taking the food orders and working the ticket prizes were all friendly as well. 3. The alcohol rule - I guess some people would think this rule is lame but keep in mind, this is a children's place and the rule is one beer per adult per hour. Let's face it, no one wants drunkies around their children. I think this rule is great and really limits adults from going over board. 4. Fits well if you are on a budget - I'm a single mom and I had to pay for this party all on my own. With the help of some coupons, my total was less than $250! Not bad for a first birthday party. All the adults got fed and so did the kids. I only ordered pizza for the adults and soda cups. The adults bought their own salad bar and alcoholic beverage but the children were covered which in my opinion is the most important part. I have no complaints at all except for the parking. It was super hot that day and the parking was a bit crowded but I don't think KMart minded some of my guest parking in their section. (At least no one got caught). Totally recommend it if you are on a tight budget and want to celebrate with family and friends. read more

Went for my nephews birthday. I can't remember the last time I had been here. It's great for kids and apparently, big kids like my friends and I too. Woke up today sore from playing all the games. Geeeez, I'm truly getting old. Hey, did you know they have a salad bar there now. It came to me by surprise. I ate all their carrots, mushrooms, tomatoes and bacon with ranch. What?! I like to go to Chuck E Cheese's alone on Saturday afternoons. The food is pretty crappy but the atmosphere is well worth it. My only complaint is that it is very difficult to move around in the jungle gyms. Makes it very difficult to play with the children. read more

I brought my kids to this place and ordered the pizza which was extremely bad, drenched in oil and we could not eat it. The place is very dirty and smells bad. I used to love their pizza, however, I won't get their food . Obviously it's not a clean place. read more

$30 for a piece of cardboard with some melted cheese, really loud and understaffed. Could you hire a couple more people so they're not doing 3 jobs at once and can actually give good customer service? Conversely, the games are fun but since the arcade attendant also had to cash out game tickets and check people in and out, it took too long to get help if a game did malfunction or run out of tickets. The primary issue was how understaffed they were so even getting drinks took a long time. All in all, not a place I would frequent. read more
