Decided to skip the gym one night to get some churros. But the portion and quality were not up to par to when I visited the first time. The first time, the box was huge (like a Yardhouse to go box) and churros were fully coated with cinnamon, some whipped cream, and fresh strawberries. When I visited today, the box was so small, like it could literally fit in my palm. Regular size says 4 churros, but it seemed more like 3. I was the only customer there at the time, and the people there took their time cooking it. It was such a magical experience! The dough was perfect! Not oily, fluffy and crispy!! Perfect. Second time I went, it was at the 626 market. Granted they were busy but the product I got in return was not worth the money I spent... It was oily, flat and doughy. I returned it and they gave me a new one. Which was better but not what I had before. My third and unfortunately my last time was at Smorgasburg. It was doughy and oily. I had my fiance return it and honestly didn't even want to eat it any more. Would've rather had a refund. I mean, I don't want to invest in a company that doesn't stand by their quality. I'm a big fan of churros so I'm probably biased.. i've come a couple times now and the quality has always been consistent. The prices are decent and you get a good amount for what you pay for. Parking is super easy because the truck is always parked in front of the Ralphs on Atlantic. They're not there every day though. I think from what I remember usually Wednesday-Sunday evenings if they are there. The churros themselves are crispy on the outside and a little soft on the inside.. perfect! Glazed churros! Something sweet and crispy.. YUM! I stopped by on Saturday evening around 6.30 just like what Yelp says about the hours, but the truck was not even there yet until an hour later. They got different size of boxes that you can choose from a medium to family size. Medium box has 3 churros that cut in a bite sized and you get to choose your topping. I personally love something colorful, so I was interested in their fruity pebbles and oreo churros. There was $3 extra charge for those churros. I got a medium box, so mine was $9 in total. I went with half fruity pebbles and half oreo. You can actually choose the topping your own but my instinct told me to just go by the default (condensed milk for fruity pebbles and chocolate for oreo). Anyway, the first couple bites were so good! The fruity pebbles is way better than oreo, but I got sick of it after a few bites. Maybe because they put too much glazed and whipped cream in mine. The churros were so crispy and yummy but just be aware to drink a lot of water after that. My throat got a little sore the next day and I got sugar hungover all day that Sunday.
