This place was pretty special. The churros were good, but I feel like the magic was really in the cajeta sauce. You can truly taste the flavor of the goat milk it's made from, and it paired amazingly with the cinnamon sugar churros. If you're not a fan of the flavor of goat cheese, I would avoid the cajeta. Just went here yesterday!! It was awesoooome! My friends and I have a special place in our hearts for churros. The parking was hard because there are very few spots and three other food trucks there. That was the only problem. There was about 8(?) choices of churros, ranging from the basic traditional churro to some pretty awesome ones! I personally got the Texas inspired one: basically two cinnamon-sugar churros with apple pie filling and slated caramel with whipped cream! There was only one guy working but he was super friendly and it only took 5 minutes for the churros to come out! My friends looked equally good, some had other fruits and some asked for ice cream! All good. The area was very pretty! Wish we could have walked around. The seating area was about 8 park tables and benches, some under an over hang: still recommend going on a nice day! The river was a short walk away and looked like you could rent paddle boards or canoes near by so would have made for a fun day! Will be going again! read more

I've been here a couple of times while in Austin and its amazing! Every order is made to order and it takes awhile, but it is worth it because it is FRESH! It doesn't matter which churro you choose, but make sure you add vanilla ice cream! The combination is amazing. I normally order the campfire with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. I would highly recommend this place while visiting Austin. If you are sharing with your wife or girlfriend, you need to be aware you may be fighting for the last bite! read more

I honestly didn't think I liked churros until coming here, but wow they were delicious. I got the Campfire and my sister got the Texas Comfort. We both got them with ice cream, which is a must! I didn't try the Texas Comfort (I'm more of a chocolate person) but it's my sisters favorite. The campfire was delicious, I love smores and the marshmallows were perfect! The churros themselves were also delicious. My only complaint with this place is their hours. My sister and I have tried going three or four times before this only to get there and find it closed. Churros are really good. But for me personally customer service has to be there and is not here!. The girl at the window lacks friendliness they are not cordial at all. Makes me think maybe they don't like servicing to Hispanics???? Cause we order and I always tip so what else could it be when people in front and behind get treated differently!. They also need to provide paper receipts cause like in my case I ask for double scoop of ice cream and didn't get it but there's no way of proving them wrong! Oh Churro Co, I was really hoping you would be worth the 45 minute wait but I was disappointed. The wait time was pretty crazy and a few others who ordered after us got their order first, the service can use some assistance with this. I got the traditional with cajeta and one of the specials (rico suave?). It was ok, not super soft on the inside and the cajeta wasn't what I'm normally used to. OMG. The first time I ever had a churro was at the age of 5 at the LA zoo. It was a little booth by the flamingo pool. I wish I had a Dolorean, so I could go back in time and tell little Tandy, it gets better! Who knew you could improve upon delicious fried dough covered in a cinnamon sugar? Came here after painting the town red at the Hope Outdoor Gallery. Of course we were craving dessert after a few hours of spray painting and picture taking. Luckily this place is close proximity from the outdoor gallery. My cousin and I shared the Rico Suave and Date Night. Both were heavenly, tastes even better if you add vanilla ice cream on top! Cinnamon and sugar are two of the best things in life. When you combine them and throw some fried dough into the mix however, it becomes THE best thing in life. Was that good enough for Churro Co though? Nah. Sure, if you are a churro purist you can still get your fix here, but they wanted more so they came up with some ingenious topping creations that will forever make me a groupie of their truck. The one I now crave in particular being the Date Night. For it they make 3 heavenly churros, roll them in popcorn sugar, and top it with salted caramel and vanilla ice cream. What is popcorn sugar you ask? I don't have an effing clue, but I do know that I need it and I want it. On EVERYTHING, because it's crazy delicious. My husband opted for the Camp Fire which also starts with 3 churros, but instead gets graham sugar, toasted marshmallows, Mexican chocolate sauce, and whipped cream. Some of their other fun flavors include Blue Ivy (because Beyoncé), Rico Suave, and Sunny Daze. They told us that they change the flavors out occasionally too bringing new ones in to keep it interesting. These churros blew my mind you guys! I would have never thought to top them in ice cream as they are usually a handheld street snack, but now I can't ever imagine eating them without it. Parking is a bit of a cluster because there are only a few designated spots for the food truck area. It's located next to an apartment complex so most of the others are reserved for residents. They do have a parking garage though which might have visitor parking available; I don't know for sure as we were lucky enough to catch someone leaving. Came here for some dessert. Tried the Wimberley and the date night. I thought both were good and although I thought I would like the Wimberely more, turns out I really enjoyed the date night. Wifey thought the date night was too sweet, because of the caramel. I thought it was just right with the consistency and texture of a churro with a great caramel corn flavor. The ice cream mixed with the warm churro is a great combination also. What warm dessert doesn't go great with a scoop of ice cream on it. The Wimberely could have possibly used a little more fruit flavor for my taste. I loved the blackberries and jam, maybe if it also had a blackberry ice cream or something to give it even more of a pop of fruit. Anyhow, they were both enjoyable and I would recommend this place to satisfy your sweet tooth craving. Cow bells is next door and Pho Please is down the street so this is a nice dessert option after getting a burger or a bowl of pho. Yesterday, I spontaneously drove 3.5 hours to Austin. All I did was go to different coffee shops and eat vegan food. My last stop was Vintage Heart Coffee, which is right next door to the Churro Co. food truck. My friend, who is from Austin, and I decided to check it out. First of all, some of the churro dishes sound amazing, but we went for traditional churros. The man working at the truck was super friendly. He made the churros fresh and brought them out to us at the picnic table. It came with two churros in a little hot dog dish. They were hot and fresh, but... they were so good, my friend and I burned our mouths eating them. Like, legit. The roof of my mouth is still hurting. The churro was crispy on the outside and so moist and thick on the inside. It wasn't your average crappy churro from Disneyland or a carnival. I didn't even know those were crappy until yesterday. I'm making myself depressed thinking about it because I live too far from Austin for another churro right now. I believe this little nook of food trucks is new, but it's definitely worth a trip, at the very least, for the churros! read more

One of my favorite things is when a place totally lives up to their hype! I had recently seen some other yelpers check in and post their delicious pictures of Churro Co. and I instantly knew this was a place I had to go! I finally got the opportunity last night and I was totally pleased with every single bite! I met up with a friend that lives up north, I live south so this was sorta half way for each of us. When I informed Kim K. about this Churro place I had been stalking on yelp she was totally in to indulge with me and that is just what we did. I ordered the date night churro, which had popcorn sugar, salted caramel and a scoop of vanilla ice cream. ZOMG .... it was simply delicious and more than I expected. I had to talk myself out of going and ordering a second on ... seriously - that good! I think this just meant I will be back very soon! Kim ordered the Rico Suave hybrid as she added a marshmallow and a scoop of ice cream. She loved every bite of hers as well. Each one is $4.50 ... not bad at all! I'm not gonna front, I love Churro Co. This place definitely hits my sweet spot! I beg my boyfriend every time we go to Austin that we need to make a stop there, it's like the perfect cap after a long day especially after a foodie trip in Austin. So what's so good about the churros here, it's simple, they target one product (churros) and mix in a few combo of flavors which is about 5-6 items on their menu and they do them well. The churros are not too hard or soggy, when you bite into the churro it has the right kind of crunch, the cinnamon flavor is on point and the sugar is not overpowering. If you're a plain Jane, the traditional cinnamon sugar would be your route and if you're feeling a little dangerous, then either add your choice of dipping sauce (chocolate, Mexican caramel, strawberry, or nutella) or ice cream. My favorite is the Campfire, a couple churros topped with graham cracker, Mexican chocolate, whipped cream, and TORCHED MARSHMELLOWS is just a whole lotta awesome in my book! The Campfire is why I crave for Churro Co. The other items are also great, I'm sure you'll find a flavor that just tickles your taste buds. This is by far and away the best year I have had in America and 25+ years. Three dollars for two traditional Churros is very fair price plus tax. Perfect amount of sugar and cinnamon blend. They are about 10 inches long, nice and crunchy on the outside, and perfectly soft on the inside. The cold brew coffee is sourced from Mexico I need is the bomb. Everything here is off the charts including the churro Sundays are not to be messed with bananas and caramel sauce sourced from Mexico as well. The concept of specialty churros really, really intrigued me. I stopped by on a bright sunny Saturday afternoon. The menu is quite simple, and you can add a scoop of ice cream on top! Texas comfort: 4/5, i decided to get ice cream on this one, so this may have played a huge factor in how much I liked it. I really enjoyed the flavor combination of this! I recommend this if you like that apple-southern flavor. Besides the apple flavor, there wasn't much other flavor of the churro shining through either. Overall, I probably won't come back anytime soon. Maybe if it's cooler? I highly suggest getting the ice cream scoop. I came here with in a party of two on a Saturday afternoon. There are a number of parking spots next to the food truck area. Outdoor food truck seating area. Service was super impressive, as the guy talked and chatted for a little bit while we were confused on what to order. 2 churros with ice cream (and we also got some whipped cream). The churros were a little too crispy for my taste? They provided utensils but because the churros were not softer, you had to use your hands for sure. Towards the end, the whole dish ends up becoming a giant goop that looks very unappealing. Overall worth a visit, but I don't plan to come back again. read more
