I was interested in the unique Asian flavored ice creams here. They offered samples & I settled on the black sesame cookies and cream and yuzu cheesecake. The black sesame was very strong and unique. My complaint about their ice cream is that they melt SO fast, faster than any other I've had. When I finished, the liquid filled half the cup. The pricing is pretty good and the portions are generous! There is plenty of parking & outdoor seating.

Oh my goodness.. My friend's recommendations never fails. This ice cream place is a truck located in a lot with other food trucks. Absolutely delicious flavors. I wish I could just get a flight with all the flavors! We got the mango sticky rice and the lychee rose. I absolutely loved the unique flavors they have here.

I didn't get to try their ice cream because I was too full so I got a black sesame cookie instead. The cookie was buttery and soft! Moist inside with light black sesame flavor. Not overwhelmingly sweet. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Cool location, nearby other food/coffee trucks.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I will definitely be back to try their ice cream!! Service was good, quick and easy, no complaints.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Kessho was such a fun stop for dessert. It's a food-truck style setup with a casual vibe and plenty of bench seating, which makes it an easy spot to hang out for a few minutes while you decide what to get.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] They offer a ton of unique gelato options, and the service was genuinely great. We were super indecisive, but they let us try samples, which helped us narrow things down! We ended up choosing the ube and the banana shoyu caramel. Ube is a familiar favorite for me, but the banana shoyu caramel was the standout. It was rich and I was so glad the banana flavor did not taste artificial! Definitely a spot worth checking out if you're in the mood for a creative dessert. I'd definitely come back and look forward to trying their cookies and chocolates!

If you're hunting for ice cream with an emphasis on asian flavors, Kessho's Ice Cream is the spot. I tried two flavors that completely blew me away! Mango Sticky Rice Ice Cream: Imagine swirls of bright, tangy mango sorbet weaving through a creamy, sweet rice-based ice cream. The balance is flawless - a refreshing flavor, not too heavy, and with just the right amount of tropical sweetness. Black Sesame Butter Cup: This one was my favorite! Rich black sesame paste swirled into velvety ice cream, w/ chunks of chocolate that a great texture. It's nutty, slightly earthy, and absolutely addictive. On top of the incredible ice cream, I was impressed by the friendly service. There was only one person running the food truck, but they were very fast, even with a long line, and kept everything moving smoothly. I wish more ice cream spots like this one exist!

An ice cream truck serving up Asian fusion flavored ice cream is what every town needs. This is the first time I've seen Asian ice cream done on this scale, with a mix of familiar and unique fusion flavors AND with pints to go. The black sesame cookie and cream immediately caught my eye, and it was as amazing as I imagined it would be. I always get black sesame anything, especially if I know I don't want something too sweet. The raspberry lychee rose ice cream was also surprisingly delicious - heavier on the lychee flavor than raspberry. The ube was popular with our group of 6. Hope to see these ice cream pints on my side of town!

Love this place! They have Asian-inspired flavors and it was so hard to pick! After sampling we decided on matcha, black sesame, and mango sticky rice. The flavors were bold and rich, which isn't always the case with these types of flavors, especially matcha. Portions are huge, so it's great for sharing or just treating yourself. [[HIGHLIGHT]]There are plenty of picnic tables out front, which they share with another food truck.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Easy parking too!

Kessho was truly outstanding! I've never been to an ice cream shop where I wanted to try literally all of the flavors, but I was overwhelmed by all the Asian-inspired options! From classics like matcha, ube, and black sesame, to more creative flavors like banana shoyu, mango sticky rice, and lychee rose - everything I sampled was rich and creamy and did not taste at all artificial. My friends and I shared a large (3 scoops) of mango sticky rice, lychee rose, and ube. The mango sticky rice was such a fun, stretchy texture, kind of reminiscent of booza (Middle Eastern ice cream). Ube was super creamy and actually tasted like ube. But my favorite had to be the lychee rose - the bits of lychee jelly mixed in were such a delightful surprise! I will be coming again next time I'm in Austin.

A little food truck in the South of Austin. I arrived when it was just open, so the staff was still setting up things outside. I ordered mango sticky rice ice cream, 2 black sesame cookies, and a sesame Reese's cup candy. The cookies were chewy and soft, and you could taste the sesame in them. I would definitely get this again. A few days later, I opened the sesame cup, and that was great as well, but I think the cookies were the best out of the two. The mango sticky rice was good and had a great mango flavor, and the rice had a nice coconut flavor too. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The food truck has other food trucks around it too, so you can explore other things there before getting dessert.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] There is a small parking lot for it, and if that is full, there is curb parking on the side of the road.

Got the mango sticky rice and ube flavors and they were phenomenalllllll. I feel like I could never get tired of these flavors. I enjoyed the mango sticky rice here much more than the one at Van Leeuwen.

The gelato is soft, melts into your mouth but is not runny. The black sesame has an edge to it that is salty but buttery at the same time. The matcha tastes like grass, but oddly enough it is perfect. Definitely a GREAT bite. If you want gelato that is not overly sweet (like say the Baked Bear type of sweet) but more balanced and earthy without compromising sweetness you should come here. AND get the waffle cone. This waggle cone HAS to be the softest crunch EVER 10/10 best waffle cone in Austin. Went Friday night and the girl working was beyond sweet and welcoming. Very proud and knowledgeable on the gelato. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Ambiance was so calm, such s cute food truck area near congress.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

I was trying to find places to try out the night before I flew into Austin and I came across this cute shop via social media and from the pictures/flavors made, I made sure to have enough time to visit. The experience and the taste of the items I got were above my expectations. Everything I tried was soooo good! Nothing was overly sweet, and you can tell that the ingredients used were real, ie. The sakura cheesecake actually did have sakura flavor in it, and the ube used real yam The server was patiently taking my order and was super sweet and kind, and gave me details on everything I sampled. I love her so much!! When I visit again, I will definitely come back!! This place will forever have a special place in my heart

I brought my boyfriend here to try out this Asian gelato food truck spot! They also have other desserts too. We were honestly blown away by how delicious each of the flavors were because you can tell they use real ingredients. The matcha rocky road has ceremonial grade matcha, and my boyfriend was shocked immediately by how he could tell it was real matcha. It was a really rich and delicious flavor. We also enjoyed the ube horchata, and they most definitely use real ube in the gelato. You can taste the chunks. The last flavor we tried was the sakura. It was good, but it was a bit too overpowering and flower-y for us. It felt like you were eating a flower, but not necessarily in a good way. I do think their ice cream is incredibly solid, and the texture is incredible! I want to try their mango sticky rice next.

I know many Austinites have an undying loyalty to a local ice cream chain but it simply does not compare to Gelato Paradiso (unless you're my husband and can't get enough of Mexican vanilla). The pistachio gelato is intensely nutty, perfectly smooth, and easily my favorite. The raspberry is a close second - packed with fruity flavor and the texture is somehow thick n creamy despite being a sorbet. It'll be hard for me to peel away from these two options, but samples of the dark chocolate and salted caramel were also so good. Ask for two flavors if you can't decide, the servers are happy to help. Not a ton of seating/standing options but there are benches right outside. Love the little window that lets us peek into the kitchen where the magic is made. Shoutout Baldinucci Pizza Romana forever and ever for introducing me to the wonderful Gelato Paradiso! Super creamy and they had so many flavor options. I got the chocolate and strawberry dairy free. My husband got vanilla and our nephew got cookies and cream. They all loved theirs. They said they couldn't use that purchase towards points so that was a bummer. Otherwise a great time and will be back! It's so delish.
