Chuy's does tex-mex right! Reviews keep calling the food Mexican which isn't correct. Tex mex and Mexican are very different so I hope visitors realize this is Tex Mex. I stopped by Saturday around 2 pm and there was no wait. We were told to sit near the bar area for faster service which really wasn't the case. It took a while to get menus, order and close out. Food came out nice and hot! My husband ordered the burrito with beef fajita and it had such great flavor. Beans and rice were good. I got the cheese enchiladas which were also great. We also ordered a large frozen margarita which apparently they charge if you get two flavors (swirl) which is ridiculous to me as I am not getting more volume nor is it a spirit upgrade. Ambiance is nice, Tex Mex decor everywhere plus cute dog pictures all around. Apparently if you bring a framed picture of your dog you get a free appetizer so FYI! Our server was attentive but unfortunately seemed a bit stretched thin. Regardless, we enjoyed our visit and food. Highly recommend if you're in the mood for some classic tex-mex and great margaritas.

I visited Chuy's at the recommendation of my sister sho says this is one of her favorite spots in town. When I first walked in to Chuy's, I was immediately greeted by an amazingly friendly lady at the front door that got us to our table. Our servers was even more friendly & welcoming! The server was incredibly awesome! Seriously, I was blown away at the high level of hospitality from everyone at this place. Even a manager came by our table at one point to check on us. Our food order came our super quick and tasted great! It was even super hot! I almost burned my mouth on the hot beans. Haha. My sister was right! Great place!

New Creamy Green Chili Chicken Enchiladas were the best, with green chile rice. Weather was perfect for an outdoor patio lunch. New 'Ritas were great s as well. Waitstaff was attentive without being overbearing. Great experience overall.

I'm always going to rave about that creamy jalapeño drip because man if I could get that in a gallon size to go container I would! The burrito Bowl was good I suppose! There was too much onion for my liking but no biggie. I asked for a side of beans after getting my bowl Bc it would taste way better if it had some beans in it lol. I definitely loved the flavor of the beans for being a Tex mex place. The portion size was huge! And the our waitress was absolutely amazing! Very attentive and helpful. The place was sort of slow since we came at 4:30 but it was a good vibe upon entering! Obviously wouldn't come to this place if you're looking for some authentic Mexican food. I like there is better options for Mexican food but this place can hit the spot if you don't know a local Mexican restaurant.

Very good Mexican food. Tons of sauces to try, any time I'm in San Antonio I try to make it a point of coming here for at least one meal.

I absolutely love Chuy's but the quality of food doesn't seem to be near as good as the other Chuy's in San Antonio.

I uploaded the pictures of these restaurant last year but somehow didn't write a review. Wow …read more. So where do I begin. I still remember how tasteful everything was. It was probably our most favorite place that we ate while in San Antonio. The ambiance was great, beautifully decorated restaurant with great service. The cocktails were delicious so we had a few. The food was flavorful and unique. We had a wonderful dinner with my family at Carriqui.

Y'know it's impossible to find street parking especially on the weekends normally. I had made reservations to meet some friends here for brunch/lunch 1145 am on a Sunday. This place is bigger than it looks! There's seating at the main building, plus a huge outdoor patio seating area, and an entire other building beautifully decorated. The hostess was welcoming and friendly and our server was excellent. We were seated in the other building near the windows. The menu wasn't huge, but just right with a few lunch and brunch items. After debating for a while of what to order, I decided on the Texas Gulf Shrimp plate. Agua Fresca of the day per our server was strawberry pineapple. Our server was able to water mine down slightly- since it was very sweet, but love knowing that it was freshly made. Complimentary chips and salsa always a plus, and we were able to order some spicy salsa to accompany at no charge. My shrimp plate was delicious! 2 skewers of nicely cooked and seasoned shrimp atop salsa with perfectly cooked cilantro rice and a fresh leaf salad. A half slices avocado accompanied my plate. Oh how I love avocados. I thoroughly enjoyed my plate. The chicken al carbon was also a good choice - half a chicken that was juicy, not dry. The avocado toast was beautiful and the pecan salsa was quite interesting. The female performers during our brunch in the room, made it very hard for all of us to have conversations. The volume echoed loudly in the room, so it was very hard to speak and understand each other. Although a great idea, maybe outdoor patio area might be more suitable. Beautiful space, great service, good food.

Both my wife and I ordered breakfast plates--hers was the chorizo and egg and mine, huevos rancheros. The restaurant was empty besides one diner sitting outside with her dog and one family inside which should have been a red flag to stay away. My chorizo and potatoes were cold and my beans were not hot either. This was not like it had cooled down--cold. The ranchero sauce looked bad and all of the food on my plate had no flavor, no seasoning, literally no effort whatsoever. I had a bug crawl across my hand while we were there as well. She had the issue with her plate, food was not even warm. The tortillas were hot and tasted good so that was how I warmed up my food. Our waiter also decided that he would cross the street to go speak to a woman at the little outdoor patio restaurant across the street on the corner. Not kidding, he was there for at least five or ten minutes just talking to her. I have always wanted to try Tito's and wanted something new to us but I guarantee there is no way we will ever go back. We left hungry, disappointed and embarrassed by what we just went through.
