Stumbled across this place while we were in the area, it looks tasty so we thought we try it. What I got for myself was the old school, I was told that was 1 of the best seller. My cinnamon roll was not as soft as I thought it would be, even Cinnabon is softer. Also 1 of the worst thing about this is that the more I eat it, it got really chalky and sugary. So I literally took another bite and it was nothing but a lump of sugar or something. Sweet to the point I had to spit it out. So I don't know if it's not evenly spread out but the roll was very sugary inside. It was like having a spoon of sugar put in your mouth. As much as I love sweets, not like this, this is poorly made. My boyfriend and I came here a last night after having dinner, we ordered 4 cinnamon rolls about $9.50 each and a pomegranate dole whip about $4. The rolls....THEY WERE ALL UNDERCOOKED! Presentation was okay but it was extremely doughy, you could feel the sugar/cinnamon grains when eating it. When I first ordered they told me there was no more dole whip. The person behind me was next to ordered and asked for two dole whip, and I tell my bf "oh it must be popular here to bad there's no more" but we saw him tap to pay and receive two orders????? I went back in line and they told me they only had very little and that's why they didn't sell me any but could give me the last of the last..... We just fell victim to online advertising and are happy we did. Each of us had orange frosting on ours which we do wish had more orange flavor but really was pretty good. Our big worry was a bun smothered in too much icing because that's how it seems in their photos but it turned out just the right amount. Not exactly on the same level as Cinnabun but lots closer to home and has a much more adventurous menu. We'll definitely be back to munch our way through the rest of their offerings. Owner has confirmed in their comment that they do a bait and switch, showing one price on the menu and charging you a different price Price said $5.50. Charged $6.50. Asked why, they said tax. I said tax isn't $1.00 on a $5.50 item. Still charged more than menu listed price which is illegal in California. In response to the owners response, it doesn't make it any less illegal to advertise one price on your menu and charge another price when it comes time to charge. I ordered a cake via their website for a co-worker who is vegan. I am not familiar with a lot of restaurants in town who offer fully plant based products so I was stoked to find one who fulfilled my order same day (within 2 hours at that!). I went to pick up the cake and the staff was so friendly and helpful with my many questions on the establishment as I had never heard about it before. Once my cake was done, the staff who assisted me took the time to ask about when the cake would be served and gave me helpful tips on storing it until the next day. The attention to that while they were busy was wonderful! On top of the nice service, I also bought a caramel apple cinnamon roll to try at home. My my my it was very tasty!! I've been here many times for cinnamon rolls and the dole whip and every time it's been great. In my book, outside of mom's homemade cinnamon rolls on the holidays, these are the rolls to beat. Not only are the rolls perfectly baked at that puffy but not dry stage, but they are then blessed with a dollop of mother truckin' DELICIOUS icing. The four of us shared three flavors of icing; maple, cream cheese and vanilla. There are many others to select from and I feel the banana calling my name next time. Things I'm not a fan of in a cinnamon roll - a hard crust - a burnt bottom - an undercooked center - icing that is too sweet or too "cream cheesy" These cinnamon rolls were none of the above and we all really enjoyed them. There were 4 girls running the counter- not the best service, they seemed more in tune with chatting with each other than helping us out. Took a few minutes to get the roll (snoopadoodle)- was pleasantly surprised with the flavor but disappointed with the size (that's what she said). Seemed a little small for the price point, but flavor was pretty good and there are plenty of different options to customize your roll. Not sure if I'd hit them again (reading many comments about the poor service), but I guess if Sweet Jills is closed, this might fit the bill. read more

My family and I love to stroll down 2nd street to see what treats we can get our hands on after dinner lol! I must say I'm impressed. Before coming I was made aware this was a vegan establishment so I was curious how cinnamon rolls were going to taste without butter lol! But I was made a believer! Lol. The frosting tastes a lot like Cinnabon. The rolls were served hot, very soft and melted in your mouth. I must also say that they were overly sweet or sugary, and I think they do that by not sweetening the dough as well. The cookie dough was very good and something I'd recommend to chocolate lovers since it taste like they used dark or semi sweet chips, it made for a rich taste.
