Have you ever been to Italy or travelled there instead and enjoyed a genuine Italian cuisine? If you're in Manhattan for anything, drop by Cipriani and close your eyes...inhale and just listen to the sounds of pasta primavera, am sure it'll bring you back to Italia. I've always enjoyed the Pizza Margherita at Eataly but Cipriani is my Italian standard in the Manhattan area of New York. We also ordered the nizza insalate or salad with eggs, Caesar, olives and anchovies and wow, it reminded me of Napoli's seaside. Fresh and crunchy, the salad brought memories when I was writing a study about anti-cancer superfoods for my work. Although, it took them time to cook my Pacherri Fruta di Mare' or Seafood Pasta, this was a gloriously iconic food that swarmed my dietary senses to astronomical delights. My neuro-sensory organs seemed fluffing and my salivary glands automatically kicked in like a stream of eager beavers. Whatever your purpose in visiting Manhattan, after walking for days, come to Cipriani and change your landscape to Napoli, Cinque Terre, Firenze or Venezia. You'll never regret spending time in Manhattan or just New York in general. Don't just come for the journey in New York, come for the food that delighted Kings and Queens in Italy and now in New York, too. Mangia!

Was here for a private event. The space is pretty impressive.. and huge. Great selection of food and beverages were served. I went home with a full belly. Not sure if the beef is regularly on the menu but it was excellent!!

The servers here is so cool and nice. This bar is dead center in Grand Central Station, it overlooks that little place where they shoot all the movies. It was nice to just sit down and have a drink there.

Great food, great service. The drinks were really nice. It being located in grand Central actually made it nice venue. It was loud, but not overly bothering.

Not as great as the hype. Food is very very average and minimal. Returned the lamb chops twice for being very raw. Can see the white in it that's how raw. Seemed like they had an issue with temperatures as the final straw was it came out burnt. Pasta wasn't great. Can make it at home or go to any other Italian restaurant in NYC.

My one and only time at this restaurant for now was for a work event. While I was there, I walked around and noticed how the remnants of the bank from the 1900s were still kept in place and not torn down. Which was cool. I looked it up that it was preserved. My company used the place not as a restaurant as most of the seats were taken out and the tables were used for buffet style food. I think that the food used was made by the place which was good. There was more than enough and the staff was excellent.

Rude as you know what bartenders Spring 2024. It didn't used to be this way. Regardless, I go for the Bellinis and stay for the food. Rude people are only hurting themselves in terms of tips. I've been going to Cipriani long before them.

We never come into NYC without have a glass of wine and some apps at this iconic spot. I can sit there all day, people watch and study the unbelievable architecture of Grand Central Terminal. We love it here. Enjoy!

Everything was great. Can't wait to go back. The portions are huge. Easily can feed two people. The drink was strong. The service was fast and very friendly. I love the ambience looking over Grand Central. Feels like you are in a movie scene.

Owned by actor Eddie Cibrian, Tennis star Jennifer Capriati, and anyone who likes to drink expensive drinks one Cip at a time. I had a really nasty experience here, unfortunately. It was on my very short list of famous expensive restaurants that I was planning on eating at with a fancy date, on the rare occasion that I do go for fancy meal, which is no more than once or twice a year when in New York. It happened to be right next to my lawyer's office, so I was checking it out through the window and then I took a little seat on the steps (the ones that don't go into the restaurant, but are by the window), to organize my stuff before walking around Manhattan for hours. It looked way overpriced of course but I was still planning to give it a try at some point... That is until the doorman for the restaurant came out and very aggressively told me to move. I told him I'd be about 30 seconds (my stuff was out of the bag and I was slotting it back in to organize it) - responding in the nicest way possible - and he got louder and more abusive and said something about not sleeping or loitering on these steps (basically asserting I was homeless or panhandling). I'm sure they do have homeless problems around here but there's somebody all muscly and dressed this slutty with tanning tattoos and baby oil, I mean, is that obviously a panhandler, I mean, okay. Maybe it's the hair? Besides, I was pretty nice to him and he was pretty nasty to me, and that's the reason why I'm giving them a bad review - their people out front should be careful who they're yelling at and abusing, because you never know which one might be a customer or potential customer or someone with 11,000 Yelp reviews or whatevs.

I visited right after opening, a little after 10 am (many businesses do not open until 11am, like my beloved Seed+Mill). My first impression was that it reminded me of a food hall similar to what I experienced in various cities in Japan. The variety of foods available is impressive and you really can find it all here, from an Italian grocer to Japanese to the various food stands offering everything from BBQ to the best halvah I've ever had. And there's a Pearl River Mart and other places to find gifts and souvenirs. My favorite of this ilk is Muji Market, which has all the Japanese amazing things! Also of note: very clean bathrooms. It reminds me of the bathrooms at Grand Central, a lot of stalls, sinks in the center, only much, much more pleasant. I'll be back as soon as I can. It's silly that I didn't come here when I actually lived in New York.

The physical location is open to 10pm though most shops and restaurants inside are closed by 8-9pm, only a handful of places like Chote Miya, Miznon, and La Devocione were still open though also wrapping up business for the evening. Wanted to highlight a few more stores here for this review: - Moon Man Foods: a Brooklyn-based company, they have a small stand about a third of the way thru the market (walking east to west), selling southeast Asian kaya jam, which is coconut-based and contain eggs, coconut milk, sugar, starch, and salt. They come in pandan, ube, and Java palm sugar (aka gula melaka) flavors. - Pearl River Mart and Pearl River Mart Foods: back in the day they used to be located in SoHo on Broadway, though rising rents made them relocate, and I'm glad they're still around! They carry all sorts of Asian-inspired decor, serving ware, stationery, and their "Foods" location downstairs is combination of Asian grocery, bubble tea (Milk & Tea), and Korean and Chinese snack/takeout stands (Kimbap Lab and Mao's Bao's). - Muji Market: this is a smaller location that carries a narrower assortment than your average Muji (house wares, basic apparel, accessories, kitchenware, snacks), though they have a full cafe serving coffee and matcha, simple Japanese lunch items like bowls, sandwiches and bento. Cafe prices seem a little higher probably due to the location. - gallery art: there is a small whitewashed hallway gallery of maybe a couple dozen small pieces by local artists, featuring NYC-centric photos, sketches, paintings, multi-media. Found this fun and entertaining!

They also have various meats, pastas, olives, pickled vegetables. Anything you'd need to make a cheese board. Though they also have pre-made boards for when you're in a pinch. They have cheesemongers throughout the store, just waiting to help you out and find your dream cheeses! They also have a snack counter/small cafe where you can try dishes made with their cheeses (like a Mac n cheese bar, grilled cheese, etc). Murray's also ships cheeses and products. This class just did not need the standards of other classes I've gone to. The reason I gave this 3-stars is because what you get for $100 is just not worth the price, plus the final product was inedible. The class consists of giving you flour and eggs to make the pasta, then roll it (which was super rushed), a "cheese tasting" (three tiny portions of cheese with some pesto) and unlimited wine (sparking white and red). You then bring the pasta home to cook it (with the instructions to use a fork if you haven't had enough time to roll your dough, which some didn't). I made the pasta when I got home and it was completely inedible as was the person's I went with. The instructor was nice and the room is beautiful, which is why I added a few stars. They're also great about making sure that your wine is filled up. Overall, I would not recommend for this price, especially when the end product was a throwaway.
