April special Kung pao chick and beef & beans $14!
    Dave H.

Great Chinese food joint in between a panda and chopsticks but better service and larger portions. The server there is fantastic he runs the show and continuously checks on everyone. Lunch specials too! Plenty of parking and indoor and some exterior seating. Casual table service style

Was here less than a year ago and the food was fire!! What a difference a few days makes Ordered the corn soup, vegetable mu shu, yang chow fried rice, and orange chicken. First the smell of the food upon arrival was pungent but not reflective of the dishes served. The mushu was bland, orange chicken lacked any crispness and smelled burnt and the rice was a mixture grainy and mushy. My son loved the corn soup Server was also incompetent. Did not write our order down, asked me to repeat it before leaving the table and then can back to ask me to repeat it again. Left most of the food on the table. Would have felt bad giving it to any one on the street. Not sure if there was a change of ownership but pass on this if you're looking for good Chinese food

At City Wok- Wok, wok your way into a variety of Chinese Cuisine!!! The aromatics used in the appetizers, entrees, soups, salads, noodles, rice. Chicken wontons were piping HOT with two side sauces chili spice and plum sauce. DUN-DUN-DUN, OMG the crunch of the wontons are unbelievable, ground chicken packed into each wonton, seasoned just right on a bed of cabbage. Secondly, the Chicken Chow Mein is the freshest I have tasted in a long time. The Chow Mein noodles are slightly crisp, yet have a tender center-mixed with chicken, bold flavors, peas, carrots, bean sprouts and onions. The hospitality here is unmatched thank you Jeremy -thanks for taking my order and Daniel- your professionalism exceeds five star dining service!!!

Best lunch ever chicken chow mein

This is a really good place to try everything. They have a lot of great items to choose from but me personally I did the chicken chow mein and I loved it. I didn't even have to wait five minutes. They're really good here but let me tell you they have a full menu there's so many things to check out the Mongolian beef is next on my list, but I'll tell you they're fast friendly and this place has a lot of great seating and parking.

Spilled tea on us and didn't bother to clean it up, left it there the whole time we ate and payed.

Over 20 years of me and my family coming here and not once has it ever disappointed us till today. All flavor and ambiance of this restaurant gone. Absolutely disappointing and heartbreaking to a staple restaurant in this town. The only dish that was the same was the Chicken salad. If you're coming here for your favorites, be prepared that it has changed to a "healthier Hong Kong style" way as one of the servers described. To the new management, why would you change something that worked and people loved. Please look at the photos and descriptions if you are seeing this.

I have no idea how I haven't left a review for this incredible Chinese food! YES, IT'S THE SAME ONE AS ON SOUTH PARK!!! Their other location is in Colorado!! This place is sooo slept on. You must get it there. You absolutely must. They fire it all up fresh and hot in big woks. The "crunch" on the breading of everything is real. Crispy skin on crispy beef or orange chicken makes all the difference in the world, The chow mein is so good that it's wild!! The noodles have the perfect chew. The sweet and sour soup is my favorite there is. The depth of flavor is soooo good that you want to just keep eating. I was here on business from Dallas, but so happy I had the time to pop in. When you get it there, the portions are so much bigger and crispy! Giant refillable drinks too!!

Been coming here for years, and the food was always consistently good NOT anymore. This weekend I came in expecting my usual favorites, only to be told by my waiter that they've changed all the recipes to be "healthier" and are now under new management. The food was honestly bad, a real letdown after years of loyalty. To the new management: stop trying to fix what wasn't broken and change it back. On top of that, the ambiance was hideous they tore down all the photos and painted the framing a cheap looking yellow. Total downgrade across the board. I won't be back until they reverse these changes. My family was truly disappointed.

I have been back since my last review and the food has been amazing! The pad Thai is always our favorite and the City Wok chicken is a must-get every time.

Walked in today at 3:45 pm and was greeted by the host name Melody and she took us to our table. A minute later, Luis, our server came to take our order. We ordered 4 items that could have fed an entire Army. It really was a lot of food. Generous portions and still had left overs to take home. We got small orange chicken, which was more like a large size, ($14.49), Chicken Steamed Dumplings ($7.99), Vegetable egg rolls (4) pieces(8.99), and their House Special Fried Rice that came with: chicken, beef, shrimp, eggs, peas, carrots & green onions.(16.99). Luis & Bryan were very nice, pleasant, kind and very attentive. They checked on us like 4 times. Our food came out fast, tasted fresh, hot and delicious. Let me not forget to tell you that the minute you sit down, they bring Complimentary hot Green tea in a teapot. The restaurant along with the restroom were very clean. 10/10. Underground valet parking shared with other businesses; and you can also park on the street and metered parking. WRONG THEY HAD IT! Needed to be in Burbank and was famished. Found the destination in my GPS and headed to location for a food experience. Now finding it upstairs was a stroke of luck, just happened to see a guy leaving with a bag of goodies. So note the place is upstairs kind of hidden. Upon entering I was seated immediately and handed a menu to pick my pleasures. Not all my favorites were in the menu ( WAHHHH ) yet I spotted several items. First I ordered the famous Mango Ice Tea for my refreshing beverage. Since I was ready I ordered the half order of Chinese Chicken Salad, Salt & Pepper Prawns plus Szechwan dumplings OMG... Salad came first and damn even a half order is enough for 2 people so please note this fact... Very refreshing and delicious and for a hot day in The Valley that hit the spot. The Salt & Pepper Prawns & Szechwan dumplings arrived for consumption simultaneously.... Photo before chow to document my experience for you Yelpers and now it's eat and eat I did... Not overpowering in flavor but a nice crisp robust flavor of seafood and seasonings. Sauteed string beans ($17) was also flavorful and did not disappoint. Half Beijing duck ($38) was very good. Crispy skin, moist and flavorful meat. It was a but busy when we got there but luckily we got seared pretty shortly after arrival. We originally wanted to sit at the bar, but opted for a table for less wait time. When first looking at the menu we were shocked by the prices. I knew immediately i wanted to get the hui tou potstikers with pork and noodles. We ended up adding on the hongkong style wontons too. To my suprise the wontons arrived in a delicious and warm broth, keeping them perfectly moist and plump. The broth was so delicious even on a hot day, tasting faintly of sesame and scallion. Despite both dishes being pork they were so different and equally amazing in flavor. The pan fried potstikers which were CRISPED TO PERFECTION especially reminded me of black bean shortribs that you get from dimsum, fatty but hearty and had me wanting more and more each bite. The minced pork noodles were to no suprise, so good. Noodles tasted fresh, the sauce was umami with mushrooms and pork. While im not the biggest fan of mushrooms, i still ate it up. I feel it would be so good with some picked cabbage too to complement the saltiness. Most notable thing... THAT CHILI OIL. We probably used almost half the jar left at the table. It wasnt spicy at all, but it had this flavor that i genuinely have never tasted before. The texture of the chilli and sesame and the nutty flavor had me in awe. Enough to take two jars home... i would do it again. Servers were so quick, made sure everything we needed was at the table. Regardless of the crowd we were met with promptness and generosity. My son didn't make a reservation because it was a Wednesday night and he didn't think it would be crowded. But with 5 adults and a baby carriage, we had to wait for the right table because the somewhat small restaurant was full. We soon got a good spot and ordered the shrimp ceviche and the pan fried dumplings for appetizers. The ceviche was served on a bed of crispy noodles and it was refreshing and satisfying. The dumplings were crispy, not greasy, and flavorful. For dinner, we got 2 orders of japchae and 3 orders of bibimbap. With 2 Korean-born children and having visited the country, those are among our family's favorite dishes. And they did not disappoint. The japchae noodles were just right. They were not too firm and not too soft and well-seasoned. With a mixture of veggies, meat, mushrooms, eggs, and that delectable sauce, the bibimbap tickled and satiated the tastebuds. I told the server there was a birthday at the table and she brought out an excellent creme brulee with a candle in it. My husband and I didn't pay the bill. But the prices were reasonable with most of the entrees costing less than $20 each. We have four more days in town and may very well make another visit to indulge in that scrumptious food.
