9/20/24 CJ's is a local venue with wonderful food, service and atmosphere. It's a bit off the beaten path in a shopping center, but as a result, there is always plenty of parking. Tonight I chose to have the filet mignon with a green peppercorn sauce that could not have been prepared more perfectly. I ordered it medium rare and it was tender and very flavorful. They served it with a side of mashed potatoes and sautéed zucchini, green and yellow. I enjoyed every bite . Hubby chose to have a burger again. He enjoyed it as much as he enjoyed the Monday night special Burger night where you can order one burger and get another half price. Keep that in your repertoire for Monday nights as many of the local places are not open on a Monday night. Our Server Lynn made sure that we had everything we needed and she has a very delightful personality! Don't wait to come and try CJ's for yourself.

We come here every year after we cut down our tree at the tree farms and we always have a wonderful experience. The wait staff is so nice and accommodating and the food never disappoints. It's tucked away in a shopping center but don't bypass this hidden gem. This trip, we just did some drinks and appetizers and it was fabulous. We had the nachos with chicken and the bang bang shrimp and my daughter had the kids chicken fingers. The nachos were piled high with so much chicken and toppings! Delicious as always. I had a bourbon Mule and a pumpkin beer and both were awesome. Can't wait to go back!

For the past decade CJs has been our "go to" establishment for many family gatherings, celebrations and date nights. We are grateful for their genuine staff, quality food and family friendly atmosphere. Always a great evening!

Came here on a trip out East today. The restaurant has a very "homey" vibe. Diners were watching the football game and workers were very nice. I ordered simple chicken and fingers and fries (with seasoning) and my husband ordered the CJ burger. Both were very good! My entree came with pickles which NEVER happens - huge plus! The seasoning on my fries reminded me of a delicious wing place by me and it was very good, but there was a little too much seasoning for my liking. My husband enjoyed his burger. CJ's has a very extensive menu and I will make an effort to try a nice steak (they have great variety) the next time I am in the area.

Going above and beyond for the community!! Such a blessing.

My wife and I were meeting a friend who lives in Laurel for dinner. We researched local restaurants…read moreand came across the Watershed Kitchen and Inn on OpenTable. The description of the restaurant, the menus and the reviews online made us to decide to give them a try. We're so glad that we did! We entered through the bar entrance which was lively but not crazy loud. There was a musician setting up in one corner of the bar area. We could hear him during our dinner but it was not at all distracting (and he was quite good). We were greeted by one of the hosts (who I now believe may be one of the owners). We were welcomed and escorted to a table in the dining room right behind the bar area. From what I could determine, there were at least two other dining areas and an outside dining area (for dining during the nicer weather). Our server quickly came to welcome us, ask if we had questions about the menu / specials and to take our drink order. She was attentive, pleasant and was able to quickly and accurately answer questions that we had (we have some dietary restrictions and needed to verify some ingredients. She knew immediately what we could order to dine safely. We started our order with the Chiccharon appetizer. I had anticipated that the item would be traditional crispy Chiccaron. Instead the dish was more of a pork belly in a broth. We actually enjoyed that much more! It was plentiful, cooked to perfection and flavorful. For dinner my wife and our friend ordered the sea bass special. They both thought it was plentiful, perfectly prepared and tasted great. I ordered the pork chop with spicy cherry peppers in a light evoo broth. I told our server that I wasn't eating potatoes or rice and asked for a recommendation for a substitute. She recommended the broccolini which was a perfect alternative. My pork chop was served perfectly (medium, juicy,) and was huge! We passed on dessert but the options looked amazing. We will absolutely be back again SOON. Thank you.

Another recommendation. Saturday we decided to go to the Windermere at Strong's Marina. My band…read moreperforms there a few times during the summer. Last year I saw that they had a lobster roll special for $19.99. Add a soda for $1. The Windermere odd a beautiful place to go and enjoy lunch or dinner and some live music on the weekend. They have outdoor dining with plenty of umbrellas if you choose, or go out onto the sprawling lawn and relax in a Adirondack chair by a fire pit and enjoy the surroundings, and the waterfront. We had a lovely table and a great waiter with personality. Michael H was a lot of fun to chat with during our lunch. He insisted on me mentioning his awesome hair ! He took great care of our table and provided great conversation. We were a part of 5 and we each ordered the lobster roll warm. You could get cold too. The lobster rolls were really delicious and generous and a great deal for $19.99!!!! It came with no sides so we ordered the onion rings which were perfectly crisp and stacked on a tall skewer. We also ordered fries as well and most importantly, a round of there very delicious martinis and a gin/tonic. Our day at the infante was perfect, michael the waiter was great (shout out again) and the lobster rolls are the best deal around! I highly recommend going there and seeing for yourself! Enjoy the photos!

Unfortunately, this was a very disappointing stop for my wife and I. We had never been here before,…read morebut the view looked excellent online. And by all accounts it was just fine. Wait staff was very kind and attentive. But, then again we were the only customers. The water comes in a nice decorative bottle, but sadly that is where the positives end. The cocktails were served in clear plastic solo cups. Flavor wise, they were fine, but for 18$ the cups were a puzzling choice. We ordered the duck wings, which were fine. I ordered the shrimp scampi and was very disappointed. The shrimp were extremely overcooked and the scampi sauce was flavorless with a watery consistency. The pasta was overcooked and was a touch away from being mush. My wife ordered a chicken sandwich, which was also very overcooked. Though at least the sandwich was generous in size. I can't say if this is the usual quality of food, but I also won't be returning to find out.

Redemption! I always…read moretry to keep an open mind when visiting a restaurant, especially if it's new. Well, I'm happy to say this one has matured very well. Just walking in, we were warmly greeted, then quickly seated. This place is "picnic style", so you're given menus at your table, but order at the counter (I personally like that vibe). Anyway, we ordered their 1/4 pound, five-meat sampler (pulled pork, pulled chicken, brisket, a competition-style rib and a whole smoked sausage) and they converted me. Everything was nothing short of awesome. Both the pork and chicken were juicy and tender, the brisket this time around was smoked to succulent perfection and the rib was nothing short of excellent (not 'fall off the bone", but with that perfect competition "pull" that really won me over). The sausage I learned was locally sourced and a great compliment to the platter. Enough for two with small appetites to share. The sauce is still in small cups, but as I was told, there had been so much waste left on empty plates, that they had no choice to serve it that way, and I get that. Restaurants run on very thin margins these days. I had the spicy version again and really enjoyed it. Add in some live music played by a couple of good ole boys and since my first visit 9 months ago, this place has turned into a legit Long Island BBQ joint and will now be part of my usual rotation. I still think the hush puppies could have used a few seconds less in the fryer, but the flavor profile was spot on as was the corn fritters. But we left happy and full...I'm glad I was able to get back and try it again. Plenty of parking, all cards and a very laid back experience. Great for families or a stop by while cruising the north fork of Long Island. It's a gotta-go in my opinion. Nicely done!

Everything was delicious. The smoke flavor was just right and the meat was so tender. The service was friendly and that really makes a difference. After May of 2025 they will have a full bar. There is plenty of parking and a ramp if needed. There's a bar and an eating area. There's also an outside area that looks like it is pet friendly. This is a very nice place. I wish we lived closer.
