I guess he had worked with the owners before and that every thing the chef made was great. We never waited for anything. It's a smaller restaurant but inviting and clean. We usually always eat early so it wasn't too busy yet. The food was impeccable. I rarely get a chicken masala OR risotto that's worth talking about. It was perfect. Husband got a smash burger and REALLY enjoyed it. Pot sticker appetizer was also very enjoyable, again, better than any I have had in ages. The menu was all over the place but I loved it. Bar tender was incredibly entertaining, however drinks did not come to table at same time. . Had a Ladies Luncheon of 7. Food was good. Issue was that our food did not come out together. Some were sitting with hot food, not eating while waiting for everyone's food arrived. Perhaps as much as 10 minutes...Two Ladies ordered buffalo chicken salad, although chicken was tender, no buffalo seasoning/sauce. One of our Ladies ordered her meal with side of Asparagus. Meal arrived but no Asparagus. After a few request it arrived just in time to add to her take home container. Our second time here. First time was spot on. This time was a little disappointment. We had a party of 20 last night for dinner. We had reservations and they were prepared when we arrived and everything was excellent from start to finish. We dined at CK Bistro last night for the first time. It was a wonderful experience at this Gem in Market Commons. The menu hosts a wide variety of options and culinary creations of Chef Kevin. Portions are very big and no detail is spared in the presentation. The front end reception and bar open up to a linen covered tables and intimate booths. The wait staff were all on their A game. Chef Kevin even personally served some dishes. He was also taking requests from one diner for butternut squash soup which will be part of his specials this week. Speaking of specials I had the applewood rosemary stuffed bone in pork chop with maple bourbon sauce and sweet potato risotto and pan fried green beans. It was out of this world. For an appetizer we had the crab cake stuffed egg rolls and still had room to share a NY Style cheese cake with fresh strawberry sauce. Menu includes salads, handhelds, burgers and a kids menu. Just went to CK's for the third time. Service was great, atmosphere was great, and all food was excellent as usual. Especially the crab egg rolls. Unfortunately my steak was a bit tough. I get it. Not always easy to tell if the steak will be good until you cut into it. I made the best of it and ate half of my wife's dinner instead, which was superb. I advised the server that my steak was tough and I was not able to eat. He brought it back to the chef. To my surprise the chef came out with a whole new rib eye. Not only did he provide me with a new steak, he did not charge me for the meal. The chef is truly someone that takes pride in his restaurant. I will be back to enjoy the great food they serve. As usual, Chef Kevin over-delivers. We had the Prime Rib special served with fingerling potatoes, asparagus, Yorkshire pudding, au jus, and horseradish cream. We left in a food induced coma. This is my new favorite place to eat in Market Common. Everything was amazing from the service to the food. I had the CK steak hoagie. It's made with marinated steak tips and OMG sooooo tender. We can't stop raving about this gem in Market Common. We seriously have not e joyed a meal this well prepared, a gorgeous presentation and absolutely scrumptious in a long time! The critics from Michelin need to pay a visit to Kevin the chef. We have been privileged to have dined in a few and this little bistro is Michelin worthy. I had the braised for 4 hours then fried pork shank, with a maple bacon glaze, with asparagus and delicious risotto. Hubby enjoyed the mahi, on a bed of a pineapple corn risotto. It was Instagram worthy, as were the burgers that were served next table over. Shane our waiter was efficient, friendly, informed us that one of our alcohol choices had a higher than normal alcohol content and recommended another beer. I just had one at CK's Bistro and the combination of chicken, spinach, chopped cucumber, red onions, tomato, and goat cheese with a raspberry vinaigrette dressing was the most flavorful and neatness wrap I have ever had the pleasure of eating! it was a special today. of course our server, Carla, was her usual pleasant, efficient server. While this restaurant hasn't been open for even a year yet, I have been there at least 20 times and never had a bad meal andI have introduced more than 20 people to this great dining experience. if you haven't had the pleasure of dining there, you are missing a great culinary experience. We live in the Market Common district and are so happy to find that there's a new place that has such good food! We enjoyed the Mahi, Chicken Marsala and Pork Shank on our first visit. When we went back we had another pork dish and a burger, both delish! Portions are generous, and service is very good. Planning another visit this weekend. I think we will be regulars. read more

What a great place! We live in MC and hit this place up Saturday instead of going to Aspen grille. I cooked professionally for 22 years so I'm constantly looking for the next new place. I kept it simple with the cheeseburger. If you are taking shortcuts with simple things I'm not interested with the rest. Fresh hand cut fries!! Not the frozen, battered or curly disasters. The burger was phenom. Almost as tall as a beer can. Also ordered was the marsala a blackened chicken and shrimp and the pork shank. The shank had a bacon jam that was outrageous. For apps we had the crab cake egg rolls. (You'll giggle at the first bite) Calamari which was fantastically light and mozzarella sticks that were amazing.(I've never said that about a mozzarella stick. Spiedini yes, but not a mozzarella stick) The bartender and the waitress we had were total sweethearts. If you are a draft beer person it's a bummer - no draft. Great place. read more

Heard a lot about this new MC restaurant and have to say, average at best. My wife ordered the chicken and wild mushroom and portion was good and she did enjoy it! I ordered the penne vodka with shrimp. What came out was a vodka sauce soup with some over cooked penne and 4 shrimp. I will give it another shot and order something else like a burger or handheld. Happy hour prices nothing special other than certain $5 glass of wine. Can of Coors light $6. Happy hour price is $5. Nothing to see there. Proceeded to tell us the specials. Out of the 7 specials he told us about, they were out of 5 of them. It was 6:00pm. Why tell us all the specials that they didn't have. So I ordered the chicken and pasta with marinara. Food was average. I asked him for bread. He said sorry we don't have bread. WHAT. What do you serve the sandwiches on that you have on the menu. Last straw was I ordered a cup of coffee. He brings the coffee but says we have no cream or milk. How do you make your penne vodka sauce with no cream. There must not be an owner there.
