This was an experience. When I tell you that this is a journey and a history lesson and a meal and a drink and a time with your family and our friends all at the same time it is literally.. Leo has a great set up inside the vibes are awesome for starters we knew the moment that we walked up to the building and saw the outside and came directly inside. We were gonna love the place.. the tea and history behind tea is so awesome and it's also pretty awesome to find someone who loves too much to get those history. The mixing of the compliment and contrast of the Tea with the food was super awesome to be able to get through a 2 1/2 hour event and be eating and drinking the whole entire time and not be hungry or full and also learn how healthy it is was really cool for my whole family who went. We did a ladies day with my mother in law and grandmas in law and aunts and it was just a time. We laughed , cried and smiled the whole time. If you want to do something fun with family or friends where you get to learn some new things get some healthy tips and walk into a new adventure to help you on your health journey this is the place for you. The food was immaculate fun treats and foods from around the world & my husband is a chef so it takes a lot to get a chefs kiss approval from me. my sister and i took my mom here as a surprise for her birthday and genuinely, i do not think we could have had a better experience! it was just us for the tasting and we had such a wonderful time! immediately walking in, the vibes and ambience were excellent. the decor and atmosphere is very cool and you instantly get hit with the smell of delicious tea as soon as you walk in! the service was absolutely amazing, and we learned so much about tea and history in such an immersive, intentional way. the food was delightful and paired/contrasted so beautifully with the delicious food courses. we will absolutely be back and i seriously can't recommend this place enough! the high tea was incredible and i can only assume everything else they host/create/sell is wonderful too. thank you for the amazing experience! read more

Would give 6 stars if I could. Never had a tea--or any kind of dining--experience like this. Leo's shop is stocked with tea, information, and accoutrements, all neatly and inviting, and the lighting from the windows looking out onto the Broadway and the bright decor make for a very calm and comfortable environment. Leo encouraged us to look around while he made the final preparations for the beginning of our high tea service. This was a VERY thoughtful service, starting off with a refreshing slightly carbonated sweet tea accompanied with sea salted cantaloupe. I was surprised at how well those two things went together--the sweetness in both somehow echoed each other despite having nothing else really in common. That's when I realized that this was a high tea that was more about the tea itself rather than the pastries and sandwiches you might usually get at a high tea. With each of the next courses, we were stunned at how well the teas and the really exceptionally prepared delicious food complemented each other. Each of the courses was excellent (themed to a different region of the world) and the culmination for us was when Leo paired a subtle jerk chicken with a cinnamon black tea. With a sip of tea following a bite of chicken, the flavors just wove together perfectly. In addition to the great food and tea (which we didn't realize you could pair so thoughtfully with food just like wine), the real star of the service was Leo himself: warm, friendly, knowledgeable, an all-around excellent host. We had an extraordinary time at Classy Hippie Tea today with the High Tea experience that we never had before. The owner, Leo, is an exceptionally caring and he is extremely knowledgeable about teas and the history of tea. Within 1.5hrs, Leo took us around the world with various teas and culinary dishes that he personally paired them together. This is not a traditional high tea that is offered at other tea venues. We were blown away with the caliber of the teas and the food that Leo offered. We really hope that Leo will expand his business, so more people would have a chance to taste and appreciate teas and the culinary world as much as he does. read more

My friend and I went for their High Tea service and it was a fun experience learning about tea and food pairings that go well with the different teas! It seems they set up the tables and chairs for High Tea. The shop is colorful and vibrant, there's something to see in every nook & cranny! There were 5 courses with 5 different teas, from herbal to green to black teas. I loved how Leo, the owner, explained the process of making tea, where each tea came from, and how to savor the tea, much like wine tasting! We ate appetizers, salad, salmon, and dessert to go with it all. Leo is very knowledgeable about teas, they make all the teas they sell, by the ounce. First visit today, won't be the last. Amazing place. A bright, beautiful, peaceful vibe. Had a drink called the Classy Horchata Latte with oat milk. Can't remember what my friends had but we were all really really satisfied and happy with our drinks. They have these cool tall bamboo glasses the drinks were served in.
