Lox bagel with pickled shallots, cucumbers, cream cheese, tomatoes, and salmon- extremely tasty

This place was lovely! One this however: do not confuse with the other Clayton's, which is a greasy spoon type joint- also looks good but they are different places. The atmosphere and decor transported me to Paris instantly! I came here for breakfast and got the yogurt bowl, which was extremely good, and my party also enjoyed their food as well. The wait staff was very friendly. This whole experience was great, highly recommend.

This is such a lovely bistro in Coronado, nestled in between the gym and another cafe, Clayton's Bakery & Bistro is a quaint spot for a sweet treat and some French-style food. We came during their happy hour which is daily from 3pm-7pm! Enjoyed a nice espresso martini which was seriously delicious, on their patio. Although my meal wasn't very French style at all, I still had an amazing steak sandwich and fries. The steak sandwich was dripping with juices, and sandwiched in between ciabatta roll, which was toasted and warm. It was recommended by our server, and I thank her for her recs! Lastly, we got to try some of their desserts. They were all delicious, and I enjoyed their Moon Pie the most. We actually had a hiccup with our meal (found something in the sandwich), but the service remained professional and was taken seriously. The food here is tasty, though and everyone is friendly. Through all that, I would still consider revisiting Clayton's again.

There was no wait for 5 people for Friday lunch and there's a surprisingly large seating area behind the inside of the restaurant for those who want to sit outside. The dutch pancake was huge and tasted amazing. The warm beignets was great, especially with the lemon curd. I got the egg, turkey sausage and cheddar bagel and that was a huge mistake. It was the most unsatisfying things to eat because of how dry it was. None of the flavors seem to come out leaving you with a tasteless lump of food in your mouth. Everything else on the table was pretty solid though I just wouldn't get that dish again.

What a charming bistro and bakery for a Sunday brunch. Lovely French music and flair. We checked out the bakery while waiting. The last cinnamon roll had our name all over it. Sooo good. Chaga matcha mushroom latter with almond had a strong earthy and sweet flavor to it. Hit the spot. Veggie wrap with truffle fries no cheese was fresh, filling and delicious! Perfect weather to sit on front patio and enjoy Coronado.

Stopped in to try a few sweet treats- the place is so lovely and quaint! There were many amazing sweet options to choose from I had a hard time deciding ! I tried the Manhattan cookie and macaroons, which were very flavorful and delicious. Would definitely love to come back to try additional food and beverage items!

We stopped in for Sunday brunch after church and only had a short wait for a table for two. The service was prompt, welcoming, and very sweet and helpful. We chose to sit on the charming, cozy patio, which made for a really pleasant atmosphere. The drinks took a little while to arrive, but the rest of the service was excellent. The food was scrumptious--fresh, flavorful, and absolutely delicious. I also love that they have a bakery and coffee shop attached, which is such a nice bonus.

This place is very cute. But the food is even better! Had a Hugo spritz, steak sandwich, and beignets. Really good dinner that was filling.

Really disappointed experience. Our friends recommended it to us as one of the best branch spot in San Diego. The wait time was around an hour and then we had to wait for another 40 minutes just to get our water and place an order and then we waited another 40 minutes to get our food. The croissant was soggy, completely soaked and just felt apart - really disappointing. The steak was okay, but a lil chewy and overall is too much flavor for the sandwich. The coffee was strong bur watery. Unfortunately we couldn't enjoy the place at all

So amazing! I'll admit I'm more of a breakfast person so I've never ordered a sandwich. The B.L.T was so good, made with applewood bacon, crisp fresh lettuce, garlic aioli on a toasted delicious croissant with everything seasoning . The best seating of course is in the back and pro tip they have a little parking lot in the alley. 9/10 recommended!!

My favorite breakfast spot in San Diego! However recently they changed their service model where instead of ordering as you enter and the food is brought to you, they have the traditional waitress service and that has resulted in significant delays in the food coming to the tables! Other than than the food in amazing and the waitresses are cordial and polite.

OMG.... We love this place. 2nd time coming here. We had to try their croissant sandwiches. They were HUGE and delicious. You can most definitely taste the quality. Customer service is on point & the ambiance is memorable. We can't wait to go back to try other menu items.

Was walking by and my wife and decided to try this today. Wow what a great treat! Outstanding menu, great drinks, friendly service. I couldn't decide and had to order both croque madame and Dutch pancake. My wife got farmhouse frittata. Everything was delicious. My mocha had just the right chocolate grated over thick whip cream. Very happy to have found this place.

Several locations- look for the bakery and bistro

We love coming here. We came here for Valentine's Day brunch. Waited less than 20mins. Great fresh baked goods and breakfast/ lunch meal. Decorations and plate setting makes me feel like I'm in Europe somewhere.

Do you take reservations?

Heidi, thanks for reaching out! At this time we are not taking reservations. Thanks!

We are driving from Vegas and will be traveling with our pup. Is your patio dog-friendly?

Yes of course! Looking forward to meeting the little pup!

Do you have seating for a group of 10?

Priscilla, we can accommodate 10 guests, and can pull some tables together, but we do not take reservations and we are a quick service establishment. We can do our best to set aside some tables for you but depending on the day/time this may be…

Do you offer decaf espresso?

Yes of course Brooke!! Come on in and enjoy our roasts from @cafemoto! You'll love it!

What style are the bagels here? New York? Montreal? Boiled? Baked?

New York Style! They have several different flavors too, this Includes the loved basics: salt, everything, Asiago, etc. Then they have a seasonal one that changes with the months! Highly recommend the Bistro Bagel if you ever get the chance!

The most perfect bunch was had here!!…read more It's an adorable place serving the most amazing food, with the absolute best service! We started with a glass of champagne and the escargot for us, and the kids with the La Parisian Hot Chocolate - do not skip this!! Make sure to get it with fresh cream and strawberries served in the spiral croissant- because, oh em geee!!! Then we moved on to: crepes for the kids, the Frenchie Toast, Smoked Salmon Tartine, an American breakfast and a Bloody Mary for me. Everything was exactly what I was hoping it would be! The flavors were all blended beautifully and tasted amazing! I ended up ordering a baguette to go and snacked on it later that day with their butter - sooo freaking good! And so sad I didn't order more pastries to go! Don't make the same mistake I did - order more to-go for later!

I was really looking forward to trying Little Frenchie, especially their famous hot cocoa spiral…read morecroissant, but unfortunately the experience was disappointing. I arrived at 4:30 p.m. (they close at 9:00pm) and, despite there being many empty tables, I was told they only accepted reservations and the earliest available table was at 6:00 p.m.--even though I was dining alone. It honestly felt like they prioritized larger parties over a solo diner, since so many tables remained empty for well over an hour. I explained that I had come specifically for the hot cocoa spiral croissant, and they let me know it was first come, first served. I accepted that and returned at 5:45 p.m. When I came back, the restaurant still had plenty of empty tables, and at 6:00 p.m. I was seated at the exact same table for two that had been empty for almost an hour and a half. After being seated, I waited another 10 minutes before anyone came to my table. During that time, several staff members walked by, moving things around, but no one acknowledged me, even though the restaurant wasn't full. When my server finally arrived, I was told they had already run out of the hot cocoa spiral croissant. They did offer me a complimentary pastry, which I appreciated, but after waiting so long, it felt like a waste of time. I understand that limited pastries are first come, first served, but the overall customer service and handling of the situation were disappointing. For me, the hype just wasn't worth it.

But nonetheless the dark interior and laid back environment was pleasant. Even with the laid back environment, the service was attentive and helpful. You can check out my 2 menu pics for the thematic food and drinks that are available. We started with the Volcano Fries. This dish starts with your basic fries, and goes up from there. As you can see from my pic, there are plenty of seasonings on the fries. But it's ALL about their sauces: Sriracha Aioli and Hot Honey. (BTW, the heat wasn't overly hot and didn't distract from the flavors.). Between the garlic, the sweet/heat action, the creaminess of the Aioli, these fries were very hard to stop munching on. While not a super-phenomenal appetizer, it was incredibly irresistible. We then finished with the Pineapple Fried Rice with Spam & Portuguese Sausage, see my pic. We liked the combination of the fried rice with the rich meats (yes, I classified Spam as a meat. This reminded me of some of the Hawaiian Spam dishes.) The seasoning was rather weak. But it still was a hearty and robust meal.
