I mentioned this inconsistency to him and he told me there must have been "miscommunication", and "you know prices go up."........... When I was quoted $2.95 I repeated it back to him and he said $2.95 a second time in confirmation. There is no doubt in my mind that I got ripped off. This man is a liar and a crook. I had a few challenging dry cleaning items, which made me nervous to try a new place. However, I was delightfully surprised and pleased with the results. I have already gone in for my second dry cleaning. 1. Linen dress with liquid stain from makeup products: They were able to completely get this out. 2. Work slacks, which had accidentally gotten into the wash: All the wrinkles were able to be pressed out. The fabric was like new. 3. Silk blouse with a lot of fabric buttons: I got it returned without any issues in lost buttons. I also liked how everything had been neatly hanged and placed together. I went in with my wife to get a quote for an alteration for her dress. The female owner was very rude when we asked for an estimated cost. I asked her if there is a discount since I know someone used a 30% off coupon there for alteration. She said that discount only works for dry clean. And I knew that was a lie. I stupidly put off having my fairly pricey wedding dress professionally cleaned for over six years. When I finally pulled it out of the very back of my closet last month, I found that the black garment bag it was kept in had begun to disintegrate. The little fragments of the garment bag had permeated the layers of lace and also gotten tangled in the bead work. It was a complete mess . . . It's located in a strip mall near several office buildings in Lake Forest which makes it quite convenient for people who work in the area. The guy who helped me (the owner, I assume) was incredibly friendly and kind. His prices were lower than anyone else I phoned and the turnaround time was amazingly fast (I hadn't requested any special time). As another reviewer said earlier, You are not a number there (unless that number is "one"!) He treats his customers like royalty while offering quality service at a lower-than-others price. Cleaners 2000 is now my go to spot for all my dry cleaning and alteration needs. From the very day, my experience has with them has been stellar. First and foremost, they always answer their phone. I tried calling some of the other ones that were closer but no answer. Secondly, I needed a suit altered the day before a wedding event. Sharon got it done the same day and I got plenty of compliments with how sharped it looked. She is very experienced in her field. Everything they do is in house. Sharon, the new owner, said she was a relative of the previous owner and was taking over so he could retire. I dropped off my wedding dress to get altered and cleaned before the big day.
