This is an interesting place with what I'd like to imagine is a New Orleans jazz club feel, if I'd ever been to New Orleans. Just went here last week to celebrate my wife's birthday. When making the reservation, they asked if I was coming for a special event. I said a birthday for my wife. So now, I expected something special...but nothing happened during dinner. WTF??? Why did they ask? Now for dinner. Super disappointed with the food. Prime rib over done and dry. The original Eggs Benedict were delicious. The hollandaise was was on point, smooth, tasteful and not at all runny or Greasy. Good customer service, not overly involved and not to distant. It felt like I was having dinner at home with the family. Food came right on time, coffee top offs were almost that of a ninja and our waiter was friendly. When we selected the fish and chips on Door Dash, it prompted us to pick a side. I chose the coleslaw. Came here a while back on a recommendation and wasn't disappointed. It's hard to find decent fried chicken in the East Bay, so I was pleasantly surprised. Just moved to San Ramon from Oakland. Saw they have fried catfish so headed over after church. The food was . We shared a Caesar salad as our app which they split on 2 plates w/o us asking. The catfish baskets were filling and hot. I had mine with red beans and rice and hush puppies. Honey had the seasoned fries and added mac and cheese. The Gumbo is amazing!! Nice and spicy! I always grab a bowl when I come here. I wish it had some crab and shrimp. The Catfish isn't over fried and the seasoning is nice and spicy. Friday Nights $5.00 Hurricanes special and the music takes you back to New Orleans. The friendly staff makes this place perfect. I never had a entree I didn't like. Came here on Sunday morning. We heard about this place on the radio and they had unlimited mimosas... Can't pass up that deal! Got there and we were seated immediately. Someone came right away and took our drinks. Our waitress "mo-mo" came and took our order. She was super nice and chill. She brought out our "French doughnuts" (amazing by the way) however one fell out of the basket as she was putting them on the table. She said she would comp them and even brought us chocolate dipping sauce. The coffee and mimosas stayed full the whole time. I ordered the chicken fried steak and eggs. Yum! If you're thinking about it... Do it! I met a couple of colleagues for brunch and it was great! I had the Crab Cakes Benedict...Delish! Banana's Foster French Toast and the Fried Chicken also found its way to our table for my brunch mates. And did I mention the bottomless mimosas?? My husband and I were driving around San Ramon this morning and came across Clementine's and on a whim decided to stop and eat breakfast there- SO glad we did. The place is kept very clean, seats & tables are comfortable, a big deal for me. Our waiter was Amazing! He was just so friendly, came to the table often and just at the right time. In fact everyone working there was very nice and worked as a team. There was always someone stopping by refilling our coffe, our water and we splurged and got the mimosas, which were also amazing. Now for the food- I ordered the french toast bananas foster, something I've always wanted to try and while the french toast itself was amazing and there were plenty of pecans and bananas on top, my plate was drowned in carmel sauce- just too rich for me. But the bacon was perfectly cooked, thick, not so greasy and cooked well done how i like it. My husbad ordered an omelete, one with veggies and it was really good- you can tell the veggies were fresh. The only thing is there was just so much food, the portions were big so we of course took half of it home. But next time we will know to split as I rarely eat leftovers. While ther we kept looking at what was being ordered and everything looked good, especially their homeade biscuits- will try next time. Overall we were really impressed and look forward to visiting during happy hour to try out their appetizers & drink specials. read more

I've only ever been here for breakfast, but have to say I always enjoy eating here. Today, the service was impeccable. Debbie D was our server and she was on top of her stuff. She had a lot of tables that were spread throughout the restaurant (and one huge party) but she was still very attentive and quick to check on us throughout the meal. We also had our waters and coffees refilled by the other staff regularly, which was nice. The Benedicts are to die for - make sure to try one if you're there for breakfast. Oh where do I begin... First the only decent thing was my french onion soup that wasn't hot, it was warm. The breaded crawfish has a beer batter on it which drowns out the flavor of crawfish. We picked off the batter. Cajun people don't use beer batters. (I would know I'm from New Orleans). I had the BBQ pulled pork sandwhich. The pork was dry and the cole slaw could use hot sauce.... If you claim to be a cajun place then put hot sauce in that slaw. The icing on the cake was the "BBQ Shrimp" first off when you make this is butter not oil and you have large shrimp and leave the head and shells on. Not frozen shrimp because during the cooking process if the head and shell isn't on then it will dry out. Basic BBQ shrimp has butter, worcestershire, garlic and maybe some hot sauce for a little spice. Not oil and red pepper flakes. The service wasn't bad the bus boy had my water completely filled the whole time. The cornbread was brought out immediately and that was moist and tasty. THe french fries were generic frozen ones. My server said he would bring some ketchup but then some "regulars" came in and he got distracted talking with them. I flagged a bus boy down to get some. I could tell they were regulars he knew their drink order before they could say anything. I would not come back here, it wasn't worth the $50 (w/ tip) we spent on dinner. Well, after many visits to enjoy the fantasfic fried catfish, I guess I gotta be done with this place. I don't know WHAT they are doing differently, but they are BAD BAD BAD. My order was mushy and undercooked. I showed the waitress, she was appalled! She immediately said she would take them to the executive chef and make sure my replacements were cooked properly. After about ten minutes my new order came out, plopped down in front of me by the busboy, not my waitress. This order was just as bad as the first. I don't know what the deal is, did they store the fish in water, or buy low-grade fillets, or some other reason? Either way, I sat there wondering what to do....I decided I would go look for a manager. I asked a gentleman if he was the manager, he said, "Well, I am A manager" whatver that means. I showed him my catfish, he was also "appalled" that they were served that way. He asked if there was anything else I wanted, at that point I had eaten my sides so I didn't want to wait for another entree. I told him no, I'm not willing to wait for another entree. He walked away. He then sent the waitress over with my bill, I was actually charged for my side dish as an appetizer. She was really embarrassed by this, but whatever, I did eat it. I was there another ten minutes after the "manager" left my table and he was nowhere to be seen. I won't be back. read more

This used to be one of my favorite places but it has gone drastically downhill. A month or two ago I ordered a French dip sandwich - the meat was greasy and the fries were stone cold. The last time I was there I ordered the fried chicken. I looked and tasted like it had been fried several days ago, totally dried out. The mashed potatoes were cold and the gravy congealed. I sent it back and haven't returned. The only reason I'm giving this place two stars is because the servers were first rate - fast efficient and polite, very apologetic when I complained about the food. I had the worst experience ever at this place! Went there Sunday for a family dinner. The waiter did not get our drink orders until 20 minutes after we sat down, then he showed back up 30 min later to take our food order. Once our food came out that's when it got even worse! The ribs my uncle ordered were totally cold, the gumbo was cold and they ran out of ranch dressing. My grandma I guess got the last order of mashed potatoes because the waiter told my other uncle he couldn't get his side of mashed potatoes because my grandma had the last of them..... When my grandma took a bite from them there was a chicken bone in them!!! Worst ever experience! Wouldn't go back if someone paid me! Absolutely recommend! The atmosphere is casual and relaxing. We go once a week and always eat in the bar for dinner. Also go once a week for breakfast. Both meals are fabulous. I love the breakfasts! The food is very good and they make an awesome med rare blackened rib eye. The service is excellent from Natalie to Desi to Nick and Benito, Nacho and Jerry! If you go once or twice they know you when you walk in! They all help each other out to make sure the customer is taken of. There is good food and drink specials. On Friday and Saturday nights there is good music in the bar. Start off your Sunday morning with breakfast. Eggs Benedict is my favorite and that have several variations.
