My new favorite nail place! I've been here twice already and honestly can't wait for my nails to grow out so I can get a new set! I go to Hailey and her attention to detail is unmatched. I've had really nice retention with GelX too! Can't wait to be back.
Found a great new nail salon! For this month of June they are having a special soft opening where you can get up to 25% off any service. If you leave them a review on google you can get that discount. I got a regular gel pedicure ($50 cash price) today with Leah. She was so gentle and nice. With the discount, I paid $37. *REMEMBER TO BRING CASH. Card price is few dollars more. The salon is recently remodeled so everything is very clean. They also serve you complimentary drinks while getting your nails done! They are located the same street of Tiffany Co (behind) on De Lacey St. Be sure to check them out and get that discount before end of this month!
Came in again and my nail artist was very nice & precise. Constantly asking if I liked my nails and was ok with me changing anything I didn't like. Very happy
Cleo Nail Bar is truly a gem. The ambiance alone makes you feel relaxed the moment you walk in it's beautiful, calming, inviting, and thoughtfully designed. The women working there are incredibly friendly while still being completely professional, and they made the whole experience feel effortless. Their work was absolutely amazing. Every detail was done with care, and the final result was flawless. I left feeling so happy with my nails and so impressed with the level of service. I highly recommend Cleo Nail Salon. I will absolutely be back the next time I'm in town.
I had a really disappointing experience here, especially when it came to the pricing, customer service, and the quality of the finished service. I originally came in wanting a fill and showed the nail tech a picture of exactly what I wanted. After seeing the picture, she told me $50, so naturally I understood that to be the price for what I had just shown her. They then kept asking me multiple times if I wanted to remove my current nails and get a new set instead. I repeatedly said no because I only wanted a fill. Eventually, I was told that a fill and a new set would be the same price, so I finally agreed to the new set. When it was time to pay, my total was $125 JUST FOR MY HANDS. That's when I found out that the $50 I was originally quoted was apparently ONLY for the design. The hard gel new set itself was another $67, along with additional charges that were never clearly explained to me beforehand. So my question is: if I was specifically told that a fill and a new set were the same price, are you telling me that a fill would have been $67 before even adding the design? If the $50 was only the design fee, that should have been made VERY clear when I showed the picture and asked how much it would cost. After I had already paid, I calmly brought up that I felt she should have been clearer about the pricing from the beginning. Instead of simply acknowledging the misunderstanding or explaining the charges, the worker responded to me very rudely and said, "I can take them off." At that point I had ALREADY PAID $125. I wasn't asking her to take my nails off--I was explaining that I should have been told the full price before the service was done. I found that response extremely dismissive and unprofessional. What made the experience even more frustrating was that after paying $125 for my nails, the finishing work wasn't even clean. The skin and cuticle area around the sides of several of my nails still had little pieces of skin and looked unfinished. For $125, I expect my nails AND the surrounding area to look clean, neat, and professionally finished. I don't have a problem paying more for quality work, detailed designs, or additional services. My problem is being quoted $50 after showing exactly what I wanted, being repeatedly encouraged to get a new set after saying I only wanted a fill, being told the fill and new set were the same price, and then finding out at checkout that my actual total was $125. Then, when I simply pointed out that the pricing should have been communicated more clearly, I was met with a rude response instead of basic customer service. If you're considering coming here, I strongly recommend asking them to tell you your FULL TOTAL, including every additional charge, BEFORE they touch your nails. I definitely would not have agreed to this service had I known beforehand that the $50 I was quoted would turn into $125.
I decided to treat myself to a hard-gel fill on my natural nails because I'm pregnant and wanted to save myself the time and energy of doing them myself. Unfortunately, I left extremely disappointed. After spending an hour and 15 minutes with Hailey, my nails were still unfinished and poorly structured. The initial layer of hard gel was so thin that my nails could still physically bend, defeating the entire purpose of the service. When I asked her to redo them, she initially refused until I demonstrated how easily the nail could flex and break. Even after she added more product, the gel was unevenly placed and created a thick, bubble-like shape with hooked tips that look like bird claws. I repeatedly explained what needed to be corrected and asked her to file down the bulky areas, but she still could not get the shape or structure right. The attached photos show how my nails looked after her attempts to fix them. The appointment was moving so slowly and the results were becoming increasingly worse that I eventually had to leave to return to work before she even applied color. Despite receiving an unfinished service that I was clearly unhappy with, I was still charged full price. I had also read other reviews describing clients feeling excluded or discriminated against here. I was the only non-Asian client in the salon, and the overall atmosphere left me feeling uncomfortable and unwelcome. I cannot speak to anyone's intentions, but that was genuinely how the experience felt to me. I would not return.
I love my Tina! She was sweet, had me laughing and very honest with what colors not to get on my toes. What technician would ever do that? The vibe was great in the nail bar, super pretty location and the pricing is very comparable to what's in Pasadena but the service was A++
I truly enjoyed the newly renovated nail salon now called Cleo. The wooden panels with inserted lights make the place look very modern and sleek. They even added a cute mimosa bar. My mom and I got free drinks on our visit. They are offering free drinks for the first week of their soft opening. I got a the tropical passion fruit (no alcohol). The ladies did a great job on my nails. I got a regular pedicure $47 and a gel manicure $65 I had broke one of my nails and the tech added a nail extension for $5 Total I paid $117 I had my nails done by Ashely and Leah. I like that they take their time and don't rush filing my nails. They're detailed and clean here. Definitely my favorite nail salon in Pasadena.
These girls are amazing and soooo friendly!! The service is phenomenal! Tiffany is an amazing manager, Hailey was my nail tech and did an OUTSTANDING job!! Hailey is the sweetest person ever and is so talented. Part of the nail fell off and I came in a day later and they fixed it, no questions asked!!! The space is clean, gorgeous, and such a relaxing environment. They opened up a couple months ago, come support them!!!
CLEO Nail Bar is THE ultimate for a luxe mani pedi experience & one that you need right now! From the moment you walk in the receptionist Kien, greets you, seats you & offers a handmade beverage from their drink menu as they have Matcha, Vietnamese Coffee, hot green tea & other fancy beverages. So nice! CLEO NB is a beautiful space thats clean, bright and airy with an open floor plan & a very relaxing atmosphere. The spa pedi chairs are so comfortable with gorgeous basins and a little table to rest your hands. The Milk & Honey pedicure was AMAZING by Hannah and it was so luxurious, its a MUST, along with their other luxe pedis that I cant wait to try!! My Gel X fancy nails by Tiffany are a true work of art! Tiffany is absolutely awesome with her beautiful hand painted designs and her eye for mixing and matching color! Tiffany always goes above and beyond and I LOVE my gorgeous nails and I always receive many compliments on! Thank you Tiffany! All the nail designers/technicians are amazing! With handprints designs, fancy jewels and a rainbow of gorgeous polishes there is something for everyone! I can't say enough about CLEO Nail Bar and the relaxing, luxe experience these wonderful nail artists provide & with a great value & price for their incredible services! There is convenient parking in a covered garage, right across the street & cost just a few dollars for a couple hours. CLEO Nail Bar is a gem and I highly recommend going for an experience that will leave you already looking forward to the next time! Will it be the Expresso pedi or the Champagne pedi? Either way I know I will be extremely happy!
I had a great experience at Cleo Nail Bar. The salon interior is very nice and new! May and Leah did a wonderful job, very kind customer service and awesome attention to detail! I felt welcomed, comfortable and left happy. Leah's manicure skills were so impressive, every nail length is matching, even shape, she really puts a lot of effort in to making it perfect and I really appreciate that. By the way, even the express pedicure comes with a little massage, and so did my manicure, that's such a nice bonus!
Found this new place on Yelp and I have to say I'm very happy with it! Coming in, they were very nice and accommodating. It was quite hot in the salon but the staff had no hesitation to adjust the temperature. The services were also top notch. The espresso pedicure was absolutely amazing!! I also got builder gel, which came out beautiful. Since it's soft opening, they were offering free drinks. I will definitely be coming back.

I can't recommend this place enough. I would drive hours if I needed to just to get my hair done by Neo. He's an absolute genius when it comes to hair colors! I asked for a cool tone ash gray and he delivered. At first it may look too purple in my pictures but regardless it's such a pretty color! It's meant to tone out the yellow and the purple comes out after my first wash which gave me the prettiest ash gray. I'm so obsessed with my new hair! This was my first time ever getting my hair bleached. I felt so safe with Neo, he knows his stuff and worked his magic quickly and all in one session. He's literally a hair magician. I want to gatekeep this place so bad but I can't stop bragging how good Neo is. I'll forever recommend him to everyone I know who's looking to get their hair done. read more

Was able to get same day appointment on weekday after getting tea and cake across the street. Very good quality nails and love that they were playing The Weeknd music and The Glory on the TV screens lol. Had a relaxing time getting nails done here -- Linh did my nails and she was great read more

After a couple of bad nail salon experience (spent over $100) in Pasadena, I chose to go to Royalty Salon (for Japanese gel nail) and requested Queenie because her names was called "the best"from a lot of people on the review. The salon passed me her number, so we communicated through directly by text. It was 1/9/23 which is 2 weeks before the actual appointment I made on the 23rd. On the 23rd, I showed up a few mins before10am, but lights were off and nobody was there. A few mins later, a girl showed up and asked me if she could help. I told her about my appointment and she called Queenie. Queenie told her to tell me the system was down so she lost all of her appointment details. 20 and plus mins later, she showed up. Super frustrated and in rush. Without any apology, she started man-handling my hands and fingers. That was right after I had a conversation with Cathy (the girl who was very gentle and nice, started removing my old gel nail while we were waiting for Queenie) about how much I don't appreciate rough treatment. I was humiliated and confused because I didn't know why I had to be treated that way. We've exchanged conversation with actual Queenie's phone number, so she should have had the appointment info on her phone, even if the system was down, she should have our text conversation on her phone. My confusion turned into extreme anger and disappointment when she started filing my fingers in extremely harsh way at the end and actually hurt a few of them. It was swollen and painful for 3 days!!! I don't care how good of an artist she is, but if she can't treat people right especially when she's getting paid, and the mistake was actually on her side, she's nobody to me. I texted Salon about this issue immediately after this, but I haven't heard from them after a few text exchange. I paid about $130 for this treatment. I was going to swallow this and move on, but I wondered how many people are being treated like this and don't say anything. Please do not man handle people's hands and fingers. Treat other's hands and fingers as if they are yours. And please fix the system. read more

A salon that has everything you could ask for. Hair, nails, and pampering. I felt like a princess when I came for my appointment. It holds true to their name. My favorite part is they offer champagne! I've known the owners for many years now and they own a couple of salons too that's why I would trust them with my hair and nails. They are experts and they know what they are doing. They train their employees and make sure they are skilled. I love the nail art that they did for me and they were very careful with my thinning hair while they were styling it. I 100% recommend this salon. read more

Loving this cute , friendly and organized nail & hair salon . It's across the De Lacey parking facility, very busy street with lot of shops around . I got hard gel overlay on my actual nails . My nail technician Elena did an amazing job on the Halloween design, I showed her the pictures and she delivered exactly how I wanted . The staffs are super sweet , they apologized for taking little more times on the designs. And toward to the end Elena applied lotion and gave me a quick hand massage. I was like girl , take my money , this is work of art ! I truly appreciate the superior service. read more

I was shopping at Room&Board and passed by this amazing salon. I couldn't believe there's a salon in Pasadena that is offering a full service! They do everything from head to toe. Manicure, pedicure, hair! You name it, they have it! I lived around Pasadena for many years and I've always wished someone would open a salon that is one of a kind. So right on the spot, I thought why not give it a try. Gee is an absolutely amazing stylist, if you are looking for an expert and peace of mind in hairstyling then l will definitely recommend you to come here! I always come down to pasadena to eat and hang out with my friends. I saw this place was under renovation and now they finally open up right at the moment i need to change my nail designs. Good thing they also do all hair service. And for nails they do Japanese nails and specialize in designs. Highly recommend. read more

I have spent so many hours getting my nails done with Queenie. Royalty is a brand new spot in old pas and is down the block from the Tiffany store. It's across the street from the de lacy at parking structure which makes it very easy. My most recent visit with Queenie was during the soft opening at Royalty and I'm actually excited that this might be my one stop shop for my nails and blowout needs. For people who are specific about nail art stuff, it's the type of place that won't put gel all over crystals so you lose the facets and end up w a ball of bubbly gel over crystals. It's well sealed and I've never lost a crystal. Sometimes I don't have a reference photo and will just want to apply a bunch of doodads to my nails and she definitely gets the vibe I'm going for. I saw another nail person there making demo nails and it was definitely cool- not your typical art but the skill and clean lines were obvi. I was into it and I would be happy to cheat on queenie with her. read more

Highly recommend this new nail salon that just opened! Everything is very clean with modern chic decor. I was 20min late to my appointment, obviously its best not to be disrespectful of everyones's time because then that can also cut in to the next client's appointment etc, but my nail tech was still sweet and understanding that traffic exists. Very professional, and the appointment didnt feel rushed or like she tried to cut corners to make up for lost time. I got hard gel overlay on my natural nail. I have gotten this before because depending on how quickly your nail grows it can last for 4-5 weeks without peeling off like regular gel at other salons. I came in with a set already on, so with removal plus new set and detailed design on every nail and photos afterwards the whole appointment took about 1.5 hrs for a very reasonable price. I am pretty picky with my designs and I love the attention to detail my tech had and how willing and accommodating she was to work with me to make what I envisioned in my head come to life just right IRL. All the artists are very talented and routinely complete training at least once a month to continuously update and improve their technique and design repertoire, so no matter which one helps you they're all very equally and consistently talented. discovered Royalty salon from Instagram because I was interested in gel-x extension with design. I was able to schedule an appointment and show my nail tech the nail inspo. She did an amazing job. Turned out great! If you want good design and gel-x extensions, def recommend coming here! Nice spot to get your nails done and also hair. Saw that they have a hair section as well. I just got my nails done with my friend for prom and they are just the cutest!! The people were very friendly and helpful, so don't be afraid to ask them anything! Linh was my nail artist and she did an amazing job to do the nails I asked for. The vibe is very nice, a royalty feeling when you walk in hence their name They do hair too! Been going to Queenie to get my nails done for several months and she always manages to get the nail design & color I want done right. My nails are typically very brittle and I've struggled to grow them. Since getting the gel overlay with her, my nails are long and much stronger. I never experience any issues with my gel polish lifting even though I can be rather rough with my hands. The salon itself is really clean, spacious and in a great location of Pasadena. Plus points for always having such great kdrama/tv shows on. read more

This salon is so convenient with the parking just across which is de lacey public parking . First , i love this area so much which is in old town pasadena . Also , they are specialize in Japanese gel manicure with design and gel x extension , plus they are do hair here and dry bar . So convenient to get all the beauty done at the same time . The staff are young and know what they doing . They so in trend and know what exactly what clients want . They like to give out suggestions which style is fit for me . I am so glad that i found this new salon in my favorite location in old town Pasadena. read more
