This restaurant is located on a hilltop, so it has a great viewpoint with large windows offering stunning scenery. The staff were very polite and provided excellent service, and the food looked incredibly delicious.

The view here is great, the patio set up is ideal. Service is fantastic and the food is good.

What a great restaurant! First of all, servers greet guests with warmth and enthusiasm, making them feel welcome from the moment they arrive. They confidently described menu items and suggested pairings, enhancing the dining experience and making it easy to make a decision on what to eat. A diverse menu offers something for everyone, from appetizers to desserts, catering to different tastes and dietary needs. I loved the Four Cheese and Pear Pasta and my wife simply adored the Seared Idaho Red Trout. We shared the Cliffside Molten Cake which made a nice ending to our meal. Pair the service and the food along with unpretentious, comfortable interior with incredible views and you've got a place I would go again and again.

    Clam Chowder and spinach Salad

I found this restaurant months in advance when I was planning a big trip that would come through here and immediately knew I wanted to try it. It was relatively close to our hotel so that was a plus. The interior of the restaurant is very nice and the views are fantastic. It was hot outside so we sat inside. Our server was fantastic. And she took very good care of us. My mom and I both ordered Italian cream sodas, which we both loved. The bread and herb butter is among some of the best I had. My mother ordered a spinach salad and clam chowder, which she really enjoyed. I ordered the Filet and shrimp. When my filet was brought out I immediately could tell by the char on the steak that it was really overcooked. I ordered medium rare and it was medium well, close to well done. I'm not one to complain much but I informed my server and she immediately took it back and apologized. After a few minutes she brought out my new steak and asked me to cut into it to be sure it was cooked correctly. Unfortunately it was once again overcooked to medium well, although it was very slightly better than the last. I told her it was fine and she said she would take it back again since she saw it wasn't cooked correctly again. I kept the steak and ate about half. The steak was just ok. I'm not sure if they season their steaks much but it seemed to not have any seasoning on it. My vegetables weren't fully cooked and the mashed potatoes were good but had green onions mixed in which I didn't care for. My shrimp however were great. We decided to order a desert and got their Crème Brûlée. Our server offered us a second complimentary dessert to apologize for my steak, but we only wanted the one. When our check came our server once again apologized for my steak and informed us they comped all our cream soda's and the dessert. While I was really disappointed in my meal, the service we received was outstanding. I'm not from the area and don't know when or if I'll ever be back through St. George, but I would definitely come back to give Cliffside another try.

Slade is a really good server. The four cheese and pear pasta with added mushrooms is a delicious treat! It's so comforting and yummy! The atmosphere is good and the views are amazing! You can also bring your own bottle of wine for a $15.00 cork fee. There is also a wine and beer menu but no premium liquor or bar.

Love this place. View is amazing and food always good. Was brought here for lunch by business colleagues and loved it. On my next visit to St George I brought my wife here. She also loved it We had the squash soup and fish of the day. Bread service was delicious and we scoffed it down. Appetizer was the squash bisque. Full of flavor and delicious I ordered the swordfish special and it was delicious. Cooked perfectly Service was great. Can't wait to return

First of all, the view of the city is absolutely gorgeous. As far as the view goes, I think it's the best dinning view in the city. The service was top notch. Our server was informative, not afraid to give suggestions and attentive to our table. My wife ordered the cliffside burger, which I tried (I'm a burger connoisseur) and this is easily the top 5 burgers I've had. She got the carrot cake for dessert and I cannot recommend that enough. I ordered the coconut crusted shrimp as an appetizer, the Chilean sea bass as my main dish and the molten lava cake for dessert. The Chilean sea bass, was cooked to absolute perfection. I don't believe I've had fish cooked that well in a long time. My appetizer was amazing, the orange dipping sauce they made was phenomenal. And my dessert, oh my gosh. It's cooked to order and served with ice cream! The atmosphere was peaceful and classy. 10 out of 10. Don't miss this gem while you're visiting, and if you're local and haven't tried it, don't walk, run to make a reservation!

Vegetable pasta soup... with steak added

We made a reservation for 745pm. We stayed at the inn adjacent to the restaurant. We had asked for a window seat specifically for my birthday. The restaurant said they would do that for us but we may have to wait which was fine. We called and confirmed again and told them again it was for a birthday dinner. Staff seated us away from the window and nothing was available. Didnt allow us to wait which was disappointing. Order the filet two glasses of red wine and a vegetable pasta with steak added on. The vegetable pasta looked like a pasta soup. It had good flavor but was a mess to look at. Steak was prepared well and placed on top of tasteless potatoes. No mention of the birthday. Waitress was not attentive. Really just a poor end to an overall good day. Service needs work.

    Ribeye
    Cindy K.

We had the ribeye, cliffside burger, calamari, clam chowder, and Caesar salad. Everything was delicious! Calamari had bits of pickled jalapeños with just the right amount of flavor. Clam chowder was best I've ever had and the steak and burger were delicious! The views both from inside and outside were epic, especially at sunset. Our server was super friendly and very accommodating. Highly recommend and we will definitely be coming back!

Overall, I'm a bit unimpressed. For a $51 plate, I really shouldn't be served soggy bland frozen vegetables. They legitimately were the bagged veggies you microwave... My steak was also bland and overcooked. My husband also said his ribeye was just "ok". But coconut shrimp appetizer was great!! Our server was friendly and attentive! And the ambiance and the view were BEAUTIFUL!

We've been getting season tickets for Tuacahn for several years now and large part of our getaway expirience is staying at the Inn On The Cliff and dining at the Cliffside restaurant. Cliffside has become one of our favorite restaurants. Honestly, I can't think of any bad experiences here. The staff from receptionist to the wait staff have always been so friendly and knowledgeable about any of the dishes on the menu or specials. This weekend I has the Chillean Sea Bass with mushroom risotto. Now added to the menu. It was so tender & delicate, perfectly prepared. Nothing worse than poorly overcooked fish. My wife had her usual Chili-Glazed Salmon as always. It is so consistently delicious as it is every time. Can't wait to be back in July!

Exceptional Service from the wait staff! Truly an experience to have dinner and seated near windows that overlooked the city. Food was good and the venue was top notch. All guests seem to have a great time. The location was on top of the hill next to the hotel. Food came quickly, view from venue was breathtaking, staff was always ready, eager, and happy to serve.

45+ Minutes in 100° Heat, Passed Over Repeatedly, Then Offered a High-Top for a Toddler…read more Our experience at George's today was so bizarre, frustrating, and poorly handled that I am still trying to understand how a restaurant could treat a family this way. We arrived as a family of three--two adults and our toddler--and were told the wait would be approximately 15-20 minutes. We were added to the waitlist and waited outside in nearly 100-degree heat. While we waited, several parties arrived AFTER us. We know this with certainty because we watched them walk in, add their names to the list, come back outside, and even chatted with some of them while we all waited. Then, one by one, those parties were called inside and seated before us. After the last of them was seated, I finally went inside and asked the front-of-house employee in the pink shirt whether we were even still on the list. She assured me we were and said we were "next." We then waited approximately another 10 minutes. By the time someone finally came for us, our supposed 15-20 minute wait had become 45-46 minutes. And somehow, that wasn't even the most baffling part. We were walked through the restaurant, past multiple empty, standard-height tables, and taken down toward the bar. We passed yet another regular four-seat table there. And then we were offered a high-top table. For two adults and a TODDLER. Our toddler had physically walked into the restaurant with us when we originally put our names on the list. There was never any ambiguity that we had a small child with us. No booster or appropriate toddler seating was offered at this high-top, either. We obviously declined. Expecting a toddler to safely sit at a high-top is not merely impractical--it creates a completely unnecessary fall and safety risk. We were then informed that if we wanted a normal table, we would need to wait another 10-15 minutes. At that point, I was genuinely stunned. We had already waited more than twice the time we were quoted. We had watched parties who arrived after us get seated ahead of us. None of those parties, to our knowledge, were forced to choose between an inappropriate high-top and an additional wait. And we could literally see empty standard tables. When we specifically asked about the empty four-person table near the bar, we were told we couldn't sit there because that server was having a very busy day and it would be another 15-20 minutes before she could take us. So let me understand this: your restaurant allowed a family with a toddler to wait outside in extreme heat for more than 45 minutes, repeatedly seated later-arriving parties ahead of them, finally brought them inside only to offer seating obviously unsuitable for a small child, and then--while empty standard tables were plainly visible--essentially told them to go wait some more? At what point does someone on staff recognize that something has gone badly wrong and attempt to fix it? There was no meaningful apology. No sense of urgency. No empathy. No attempt to problem-solve. No acknowledgment that the original 15-20 minute estimate had turned into 45+ minutes while other guests were seated ahead of us. What makes this experience even more uncomfortable is that we are a mixed-race couple. I cannot say why we were treated differently, and I am not going to make an accusation I cannot prove. But after watching multiple parties who arrived after us be seated before us, only to then be offered uniquely inappropriate seating for our family, I am left questioning why our family was treated differently. Was there some legitimate explanation that was never communicated to us? Was this simply extraordinary incompetence and poor management of the waitlist? Or was there another reason? I genuinely don't know. But the fact that your staff's handling of the situation left us even having to ask that question should concern management. We were patient. We were polite. We waited far longer than we were told we would. We stood outside with our toddler in nearly 100-degree weather and gave your staff every opportunity to make the situation right. Instead, we were met with indifference and a level of front-of-house incompetence that was astonishing. Restaurants get busy. Servers get overwhelmed. Wait estimates can be wrong. None of that explains why multiple parties arriving after us were seated first, why no one noticed or corrected it, why a family visibly accompanied by a toddler was offered a high-top, or why--after more than 45 minutes--no one seemed remotely interested in finding a reasonable solution. We ultimately didn't need special treatment. We expected competent treatment. We didn't receive it. Management should seriously review how the waitlist was handled today and speak with the front-of-house staff involved, because this was one of the most poorly managed and deeply uncomfortable restaurant experiences our family has had.

From the moment we arrived, every dish was exceptional. The salad was fresh and beautifully prepared, the pork belly was absolutely outstanding, and the steak was cooked to perfection with the most incredible seasoning. Every bite was memorable. The biscuit was unreal--warm, comforting, and honestly one of the best I've ever had. What touched me most was the homemade ice cream. One spoonful instantly brought me back to childhood memories of my dad making homemade ice cream for us when we were kids. It was such a special and unexpected gift to relive those moments. But what truly made the evening unforgettable was our server, Parthee. She was absolutely amazing. Her kindness, attentiveness, and genuine warmth made us feel so welcomed and cared for. She didn't just provide excellent service--she made our night. Our family has been through a lot, including the heartbreaking loss of my sister. Father's Day hasn't always been easy for my sweet dad since then. This evening gave us something precious: a new happy memory together. The scallops still tasted like the sea and were extremely gritty. The steak...... medium and on the way to well. Not seasoned. The sauces were a horseradish and a chimichuri. Neither of which saved that steak. We literally sent the crab Mac back to the kitchen. Inedible. Tasted like tuna mac that had been left in the oven too long. We brought two friends with us and ended up feeling bad and apologizing to them for such a terrible experience. Let me first say that this location was gorgeous! It's very spacious and the parking was easy even though the street was under construction. We had a reservation and were seated quickly. Our waiter did a very bad job, maybe he was new but he should've had some guidance if that were the case. He dropped cheese on my lap, later dropped a dirty fork on my lap, passed food through other guests even though there was plenty of space to walk around the table. He also used one guests fork to shove into the cheese shredder to remove stuck cheese. Just weird, uncomfortable, unprofessional behavior. We hoped that the food would make up for the terrible service but sadly it didn't. We ordered the veal parmigiana and the rigatoni carbonara. The bread that was brought to the table first was mediocre, we had a caprese salad which was yummy, unfortunately that was the only win. The veal was tough and the rigatoni was just not impressive, we didn't even eat half of either dish. They were also out of the wine we ordered, maybe understandable but in combo with all the other misses it was just another disappointment. I really hope this place can get some guidance from the Cedar City location because we have been loyal fans for several years and we would love to see it succeed but there is work to be done to get it there.
