Meanwhile, my friends didn't care for their fried version of it. Environment - 4 Clean, quick, good for a restaurant right across from a college Food - 4 I liked it. Went there with my family after a day trip in LA... I have been to this place before so I know they have good quality Hainan Chicken Rice. The cashier there was super friendly and helpful! He even helped us to order the 4 people package combo that will save us some bucks on our order. All in all, great customer service. I ordered the Hainan chicken rice (dark meat) to go. The order came out within 10 minutes and the staff was nice. I am a big fan of Savoy so that's the frame of mind I'm writing this from. The rice was bland even thought it's cooked from chicken fat and the chicken isn't great. The sauces that they give you aren't good as well. They give you chicken soup as a side and that wasn't flavorful. I would just save your money and drive the extra distance to go to Savoy. read more

Came here because a friend wanted chicken rice and Savoy was closed. The chicken was on par with Savoy - super juicy and flavorful. However, I didn't like the rice too much, it wasn't as fluffy and seemed more bland. The ginger sauce was amazing and they give you a complimentary soup which I thought tasted more like pork bone than chicken. If you're craving the dish and in the area, I would recommend it. After three months we went back to this place and of course I didn't forget to ask the cucumber salad they forgot to give us last time. I showed the conversation I talked to one of the workers and yes the waitress is not being rude or anything instead she gave us the cucumber salad plus 10% off from our original bill. This hainan chicken place is right by my work, and I typically find myself ordering from here at least once a week. It's a solid hainan chicken place; I like to order the white chicken which is still tender and not dry compared to other places. The pickled veggies and ginger sauces compliment the chicken and rice nicely. Plus, everything is packaged neatly whenever I order to-go. Really no complaints besides sometimes the rice can be dry, but pouring the chicken broth soup over it really helps. read more

This place is really coming together :). You can order take away on line ahead or dine in. They now have more seating and are doing so well they are opening a second location in Hacienda Heights soon. It's surprising a place can do so well when across the street from chick-fil-a but they hold their own. Chicken and rice dish is delicious and I definitely recommend it ! I've tried Hainan chicken at Green Zone and Savoy Chicken in Alhambra and I thought Cluck2Go is by far the best version of Hainan chicken that I've ever had. Whatever they're doing with their chicken here is quite amazing. It's very succulent and so very tasty. I believe the reason may be that their chicken is never frozen and from a local farm and they keep the chicken skin on which I'm thinking gives it alot more flavor. The other Hainan chicken's didn't have skin. They have 2 versions of ginger sauce that are pretty amazing as well. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. Wow, this was my first time trying hainan chicken and I am very impressed. I got the dark meat plate. At first glance, the chicken looked really plain, but when I tried it, it was so juicy and flavorful. I could also really taste the quality of the meat. (I think they use good chicken). The chicken rice served alongside was very flavorful and savory as well, and the broth was the perfect complement. Honey glazed wings were served super crispy and piping hot. More sweet than salty. The chicken was soo juicy. Coconut pudding was more milky than others Ive tried and the perfect dessert! Great price and quality. Not too heavy and quite healthy meal. The best Hainan chicken I've had so far, fyi this is my second time eating takeout from here. The rice is perfection, I can just eat that by itself. The chicken is so delicious, moist and tender. I especially love the scallion ginger sauce, I always ask for extra because I feel like I need to have it with every bite. I am not a fan of the red sauce though. I do think they need to give a bit more of rice to each order. Maybe change the price to $1-$2 more and actually fill up the rice a bit more. Bland. Three of us ordered food for delivery. Neither the chicken nor the rice had any seasoning. The only thing that added flavor were little packs of red and green sauces. Ok just ate my hainan chicken and I am ready to yelp before I digest LOL. Here's my take, the portion is decent for the price . I am not a big fan of dark meat , never like it . Always the white meat . I ordered the original and it come with some White and some dark meat so I didn't finish all the chicken and also the sauce is not enough. Chicken could have a bit more flavor and the soup is ok. Overall it's good . It's also close by house and I don't have to drive to savoy to wait in line. LOL. Excellent service, very gracious staff , makes you feel very welcomed! I ordered only dark meat - very well cooked and flavorful , rice is tasty but not authentic chicken rice flavor . Ginger sauce very good but the supposedly chilli sauce nothing like authentic Singapore Chilli sauce for hainan chick rice, it was not spicy and tasted sweet , but still a good sauce . I also had their whole coconut for juice , when I was done this very sweet lady suddenly appeared beside me and handed me a long handed spoon incase I like to eat the young coconut meat which was sooo yummy!
