    Quesadilla Roll

We tried this restaurant because we love Mexican food and wanted to sit outside with our dogs. Wow the food is incredible! The chips and salsa are insanely good, so was the guacamole. I order their crazy salad with shrimp and the shrimp were big and succulent and perfect to seasoned. Very savory and delicious. The dressing was perfect. My husband got their burrito bowl with chicken. I took a bite and it was so good. He cleaned his plate. My sister got the quesadilla roll and said it was delicious, my dad got the Hermanas trio tacos and he said they were amazing, and my mom got the Hermanas salad which she has orders before and loves. My family and I all can't wait to come back! Service was fabulous and the outdoor patio is perfect for nice weather days with our dogs.

I came to Cocina Hermanas for a farewell dinner for a teammate. I appreciate that our reserved table was nicely set with chips, salsa, and water already placed on the table. As for the food, I thought it was good! I'd definitely come back. We had the appetizer sampler plate which was absolutely delicious. I specifically enjoyed the birria empanadas & the quesadilla roll. For my meal, I ordered the Hermanas Salad with Shrimp -- It was a very simple and light meal, I honestly expected a bit more flavor in their jalapeño avocado dressing but it was still good enough for me to finish my meal. We then wrapped up our night with their sampler dessert, which was delicious too! Of all the items on the plate, I'd say I really enjoyed the churros which were nice & crunchy. Ambiance is cute, great place for a lunch date! However, it can get pretty warm in there. I didn't see a fan or A/C being run so definitely be prepared for the space to get a little warm if you visit in the Summer. As for service, I docked down a star because it could have been better. Our water cups were only refilled once over the few hours we were there chatting & eating. Fortunately, I brought my water bottle and at some point had to drink from that because our cups weren't getting refilled for a while. Overall, I'd highly recommend the two sampler plates for anyone that wants a little taste of everything.

Cocina Hermanas specializes in what I'd endearingly label Millenial Mexican, Mexican fare with an upscale twist and a hint of gentrification (unsurprising given the prime perch in downtown Danville). It's always reliably uncrowded which makes it a frequent fallback for my family when indecision strikes. Upon seating, you're promptly greeted with cloth napkins, water in proper cups, and a bowl of freshly fried chips accompanied by salsa. I will say that their salsas are sublime, bright, tomato-forward, clearly house-made, and fresh. My usual order is the steak fajitas. Unlike the obnoxious, attention-seeking fajitas at Chili's, their fajitas are tender, flavorful, and portioned enough to share depending on your appetite and diplomacy. I will say that they don't arrive sizzling, maybe just sizzling in spirit more than in temperature. I feel like the cast iron pan that houses the steak serves a mostly theatrical role since the fajitas are far from searing hot. A ceramic plate would probably do the job just as well minus the pretense. Don't get the martinis though. As for the martini: passable, not praiseworthy. But let's be fair, it's a Mexican restaurant, not a cocktail bar. You come here for salsa not the shaken spirits. The service is also great, but the prices are a bit steeper. A solid restaurant for those who want to splurge a bit more on Mexican cuisine.

Came here for HH before a local event. Initially we ordered Palomas, however they ran out of their well tequila and wasn't available for HH. We ended up getting a pitcher of margaritas. It was strong and tasted great. We ordered some bites as well but devoured them before i could snap a pic! The quesadilla roll was the best on the HH menu!

We came here on weekend for a friend's birthday. The restaurant was able to accommodate a big group. The atmosphere and vibe of the place is very festive and inviting. The staff were super friendly and accommodating to our group. The menu is very modern Mexican cuisine. I was able to get the tacos and that was pretty favorable. The place is definitely a bit on the pricer side. The desserts were also pretty good too.

4++ Restaurant located in the Downtown Danville area that specializes in Mexican food. They focus on simple traditional technique and source with high quality ingredients. Depending on where you are in the restaurant, the vibe here is lively and fun (closer to the bar) or a little more intimate (lighting is low, etc.). The folks here were very friendly and attentive. Came here with a pretty sizeable group (9 of us) and had reservations. So we were all seated right when we got there. They have some pretty amazing sounding dishes on their menu, but I wasn't super hungry, so for myself, I just had the Baja Trio (grilled fish, shrimp, and mole tacos). I thought the tacos were really tasty and got to also try some of the shrimp ceviche as well as a couple of the other apps. Definitely a great spot for groups or even if you want to go to the bar to grab a nice meal and watch some sports. Parking - this area could get a little busy, but we were able to easily find parking at a lot nearby and just had to walk about a block.

first time to Cochina Hermanas with my best friend. Luckily, it was warm and cozy inside. Food ended up being really good, I would probably get their tacos again. Service was not bad, they should slow down picking up plates, or waitress ended up, spilling the salsa on the floor, got a towel to clean it all up and push it under the table.

The food was ok and then my family got food poisoning LOL. Oh well I guess My family booked a late weekend lunch to celebrate my bf's bday. When we arrived, we found that a reservation was very much unnecessary as it was totally empty. Welp. And even then, service was slow and very curt. Maybe they didn't want us to show up? Overall, food was unmemorable. Not particularly flavorful and a bit dry. But then... I'm pretty sure there was an inedible object in my bf's complimentary ice cream... It was a tough, bland, spongy piece that was totally out of place, about the size of a finger. It didn't melt. We asked if the ice cream had banana bits in it, ANYTHING in it, and-- nope, it was supposed to be just vanilla... Um... It would've been a nice gesture... Don't think it got comped either... A few hours later, my family all got food poisoning at home. Aaaaah. Happy bday to my bf or whatever

First time at cocina hermanas and it was amazing!! My bf loved it so much he wants to come back already. The aguachile/ceviche plates were the best filled with so much flavor. I don't think I've ever tried aguachile this tasty before. The shrimps were fresh! We met the chef and he was so sweet. You can tell he really has a passion for these dishes and you cannot find them like that anywhere else in the Bay Area. I love how much outdoor seating they have, there's enough space for a big group.

I hate to leave a bad a review so I'm not going to because I'm sure there are a few variables at play, like paying high rent for their corner spot. 3.5 stars. Lovely place, great ambiance, all the makings of a great spot, except there's one giant detail that needs addressing. The prices here are too high for the portion sizes we receive. Paying a higher dollar amount isn't the issue it's that we don't receive the bang for our buck. The food does taste good, with all that said, but you won't leave here feeling full ordering your 1 entre. As a quick example, the taco platter should come with 5 tacos instead of 3 for the amount you pay and the size of the tacos.. the ceviche was heavenly but I mean come on ni pa una muela !

Just had the most amazing dining experience at Cocina Hermanas. Thanks to our wonderful waitress/server Yuremi B. She was extremely attentive and went out of her to make our dining experience one we will never forget. She was very sweet and gave incredible recommendations on what to eat and to drink. She was always on top of when we needed anything. Her beautiful smile and energy really enhanced our dining experience. The food was extremely delicious. The drinks and ambiance were suburb. We can't wait to return every soon. Thank you Yuremi for a wonderful dining experience. :)

Love the food options and diversity of margaritas! Customer service is great along with dog friendly patio and rotating menu. Never disappoints and looking forward to keeping up with their social media events for more tequila / dinner experiences, live music for holidays and featured dishes!

Sandwich was kinda like a grilled chicken burger. The thicken breast was moist and fries were crispy and tasty. Chicken picatta was delicious and perfectly mixed with mashed potatoes, spinach, capers. The chicken wasn't dry. Pear martini was the best. I would come here just for this drink. I think they home make the syrup. Old fashioned was good but a little sweet.
