Right from the beginning the staff treats you as if you were a regular ( first time). The drinks are awesome. The " Nopal" cocktail or shot is badass, hits the spot. The staff was incredibly rude and the manager is a crook. We went for a work HH called ahead and then even confirmed the day of the reservation. We got there early and it was dead. When we sat down we asked about the HH drinks and the manager said it didn't start til 6pm. So we thought that was odd because it says differently online and when we called but can't argue with the manager. The food was decent but when we got the bill it was chaos the whole experience was ruined. The server didn't have anyone on separate checks, I specifically called to be sure this wasn't going to be an issue and so the staff was prepared for that. To top that off, no one had the HH price on their bills. So I asked the waiter to please go and get the manager who told us it didn't start til 6pm. He straight up lied and said he didn't say that and suddenly pretended to have a language barrier, it was mortifying. He claimed to have said it only went to 6pm but it's just flat out a lie. I felt so embarrassed I selected this place to take my work team, reflected terribly on me I'm sure. To be treated so rudely and lied to was shocking, I feel like because it was so dead in there and we were with doctors in their scrubs they were going to try and get away with not giving us the happy hour price. The staff had no idea about what came on anything on the menu, and when order appetizers I asked was what I ordered enough, and it was a joke when it came out, I even nicely said if I order anything else for the table that is this small please let me know so I can order enough for everyone. I will NEVER be back and I will tell everyone and anyone who would listen to not go there as well. On and TOP OF ALL OF THAT, they add a 20% tip, we never had our water refilled they never bussed the table so we just sat in all of our plates at one point a few ppl started to stack them so they finally took them away. I always judge a Mexican restaurant by their rice... and they definitely passed the test! If you want to try a little bit of everything I recommend their sampler platter. Their enchiladas mineras are awesome, they taste just like tacos potosinos. & of course make sure to try a Michelada. read more

I would rate zero stars if possible. The food is overpriced. We had a dead fly in our chips and flies were all around us at our table. This place is not worth the money. The service was under average. We were handed a ticket with the $4 chips that had the fly in it!! I had to ask about the fact that it was still on the ticket!! I will never eat at this place again. So I wasn't sure what to expect, but I was very please as was everyone with me with our food and drinks. One person got the guava margarita (marg of the day) and two other got the fire and ice. I thought the fire and ice would be spicy but it wasn't at all. It was good, well made and strong. We also ordered the chips and salsa and Esquites The salsa was good 3 different types for $4 the chips were nice a thick the salsa dishes were small. Wish this was included. The Esquites were ok- nothing great about it, nothing bad about it. No spice The main dishes two had mole oaxaca and the other the enchiladas verde. All was delicious and as one of the other reviews say, the rice was great. I actually don't usually care for Spanish rice because its just not my thing. But this was great. Especially with the mole sauce. Mmmmmmmm I do wish the prices were a bit better, it's pretty pricy, especially for the margaritas- the house in $11 and although it's fresh, it's nothing special. read more

The actual meal was delicious. Service was very slow and our table was the only one there most of the evening. You should not have to pay $4.00 for a basket of chips in a Mexican restaurant and they do not have Queso (it was a small bowl of crumbled cheese for $1.00 extra). A small scoop of Guacamole $14.00 was more than my entree. The quesadillas were outstanding but should have come with a small dollop of guacamole. Hot sauces are very flavorable. Decided to come with some friends today for lunch and the service was terrible. Very disappointed as this was the second time I came and was excited to share the experience with some friends whom it was their first time. All our orders came out wrong. They also changed the plates from what they were last time completely different and way smaller still charging the same price. Finally when the food came out (mind you the orders were wrong) everyone received their food but me. Also we order some drinks that we were excited about trying and they were not brought to us, later we had to ask after 30 mins and the manager put her mask down and tells us they are out lime juice. Again no communication at all. After asking the server where my plate was she said it would be out soon. She later came out 20 mins later only to tell me they plate I ordered wasn't available and if I wanted something else. I didn't mind the fact that it wasn't available but the fact that there was no communication beforehand or in a timely matter. If that was the case we could have ordered something different. I do want to shoutout the busser Angel for honestly being the only staff member providing great service. He kept making sure to refill our chips and water and try to attend to us through this terrible experience today. Very disappointed after hyping this place up. read more

The tequila cocktails here are excellent! I had the margarita of the day, which was flavored hibiscus.....and It had an actual hibiscus! Delicious! I also tried their Astor cocktail, which was very unique since It had chia seeds. Very good. Last but not least, I had the abuelito, made with Don Julio reposado.
