This coffee shop if pretty well known in LP. I am a coffee lover. I love the theme and aesthetics. The decorations are super cool with all movie titles displayed. The menu looks very unique, Im pretty basic and happy with a nice cold brew. The Barista who served was very nice. I ordered thye horchata cold brew. The coffee was okay didn't really feel the caffeine and very very sweet . It could be because it is the horchata flavor. Maybe I will order something else if I do return. read more

I love the coffees from here the theming packaging and ambiance of this shop are wonderful. I was disappointed by the matcha tea last time with strawberry it was like jam, and not very flavorful. Only come here when I want a break from Dunkin and it's near me. Employees literally look like they hate you for coming in. Drinks are mid but aesthetically pleasing and super sweet. The only good or cool thing about this place is the cool decor they have. Went here with my girlfriend after buying pizza and fish and chips from the shops nearby (highly recommend to stop by). Loved the scary decorations and the movie they were playing at the time. It feels like halloween in there lol. The person serving you is also very nice and you should expect ~5 mins for your drink to be out. Speaking of drinks, theyre sooooo good. I don't want to be rude but I have attempted to try this place on 6 occasions and was only successful twice. The hours posted online are not accurate and different on all platforms. I've gone at the alleged opening time, a couple hours after opening, a couple hours before closing, and it's been closed each time. There's never a sign on the door, it's just closed. Leaving a very VERY delayed review from last month, but here it is. My friend suggested this spot and we both decided to check it out for our coffee fix. We both liked the shop was hidden away-ish down a tiny alley. I liked I was greeted by Regan at the door LOL. I wasn't expecting to see soo much horror movie memorabilia and such. It seemed abit much given how small the shop is, but enjoyed looking at everything nonetheless. Some tables outside, a few inside, could get cramped if people stay and watch a movie that's playing. I tired The Horrorchata Krunch and was surprised how good it was. Recent ones I've tried from other places make horchata based coffees too sweet or too light. The cinnamon was . Let's start off with the decorations, it was very on theme. If you are a horror fan this will definitely be a spot to check out. Not too many seats inside as it's really small. Another cool thing is they play horror movies all day. So that's a plus for me!! Customer service was great. Got to speak with the owner and she seemed like such a sweet lady. The guy at the register gave some great recommendations! Thanks to him! Now for the coffee, it was good. But not great. I'm not hating on it at all. The pumpkin cold boo had a great pumpkin flavor and was sweet.. my only thing is that the cold brew tasted a bit old. That's just in my opinion. The sweetness and flavor of the pumpkin over powered the cold brew.. it just wasn't there. But it was still good! Ambiance: Scary movie/Horror themed coffee shop. They were playing that girl doll movie. Volume was appropriate for the space neither too loud nor muted. They do have a sign that cautions customers about the horror movies they have on all the time. So small children should avert their gaze to the right side. Bonus points: the sound of the various coffee machines and processes added to the unease horror movies evoke. Service: It was ok. Cordial at best. Nothing saccharine or rude. Answered my questions with an awkward pause. Perhaps a new employee? It did take longer than usual for the drinks to come out (15 mins from register to pickup) but I think it was just one person manning the stations this morning. They did apologize for the wait so at least they were aware of the issue? Coffee: I've had their coffee before. Nothing special so 4/5 stars. Very good profile for the standard coffee consumer. Not excessively bitter / dark as some coffee shops. Could be where they sourced the beans from, could be the ratio of espresso to milk, I was not an inquiring mind. Edit: The hot coffee was bloody blistering hot! Could not sip it comfortably. I accidentally spilled some on my pants and I had to stop and get ice. User error on this one. Shouldn't have been drinking while driving. Price: My no frill 24 oz coffee cost $5.5 sans tip. So add up if you know you're normally a 15-18% tipper. The bat cookie was delicious, though my horchata latte was just too sweet for me. Horror movies play in the background and it's definitely an experience. Service was quick. I visited Coffinated Coffee for the first time this weekend. The first thing we saw on the walk towards the door was the Art the clown sitting at a table in the window. Thankfully it doesn't move, but it scared us! Inside the decor is so fun with a variety of horror decorations and movies constantly playing. The menu provides a great variety of options of coffees and non-coffee drinks. I docked my rating a star as I asked for 2% milk in my pumpkin cold brew and they added oat milk. The entire aesthetic is neat and I love to support a small business with an unique style. The decorations, movies playing, and games available were all neat and seemed like a cool place to get coffee at night with friends! The menu and drinks looked and sounded unique and great. Unfortantely, the drinks were not good. Rumder Blended: does not taste like peppermint mocha and is overwhelmingly cherry flavored (not listed on the menu). No taste of espresso or really anything but the artificial cherry taste. The texture also was bad with ice chunks. Could not drink it. A Nurse's Nightmare: Did not taste like eggnog and was very sage/rosemary tasting in an odd way. Almost candle like but mostly offputting. The texture was also bad, possibly from the food coloring? Could not drink it either. If the taste of the drinks could be improved, this place would great! It was the only downfall and is sadly the main reason to go. read more

What a clever name and theme for a coffee shop. Every day is Halloween at this place. It has some really cool horror movie props and merchandise. It almost looks more like it started as a merch store and decided to add a coffee shop. Wondering if this place is under same ownership as Sabrina's Vintage, which is directly across from this place and has similar theme. It has classic coffee drinks, but I think people would come here mainly for its specialty drinks, which sort of remind me of drinks at Rad Coffee. I only tried The Shape, which is a blended latte drink with pumpkin spice. It was good, but too sweet for my liking. I will probably just stick with traditional coffee drinks on my next visit. I'm mainly giving four stars for the cool vibe and good service. It also has several horror themed board games you can play for free. This place is hidden, and would've never found it if wasn't for reviews from other Yelpers, like Leonard A. He always seems to find the coolest places. What is it with horror and coffee just going hand in hand? The combination is a match made in heaven - or should I say hell? Haha, enough with the cheesy attempt to be funny. I'm very surprised and happy that Coffinated Coffee (it wasn't until after I left and read the sticker label on my drink that I realized it was a pun off of Coffin & Coffee...lol), opened so close to me! It really is a hidden gem, tucked in the back of a shopping alley in the 99 Cents Plaza. But you'll know instantly with the Halloween themed inflatable right outside and the goth, monster flowers adorning their outside seating. There's just something about entering such a heavily themed and decorated locale that really goes to show how much of a love letter it is between the owners and the things that they are passionate about. Coffinated Coffee is one of those places. Lots of love and care goes into the theming, decorations, and everything else about this place. They have a merchandise section with lots of neat knick-knacks like pins, wallets, patches, vintage, small Halloween decorations, pillows, shirts, mugs, and cards. I am actually eyeing the pastel Mickey ghost backpacks...maybe I'll come back for it or the wallet version one day! They also have baked goods and some cute spooky cookies as well. As you sip your coffee, enjoy your baked goods, and maybe catch up on some work (they have free Wi-Fi, just ask!), there's a horror/Halloween/supernatural/just aptly themed movie playing on the TV (they were playing Men in Black when I was there), decorations galore all around you and animatronics of some of horror's biggest icons, like It the Clown, Freddy Krueger, and Michael Myers. They also have board games for you to play when you hang out and catch up with our friends, and get this! The board games are ALSO horror and scary movie themed (I think I saw Nightmare Before Christmas Operation and Ghostbusters Monopoly). Now onto the drink, I got the Redrunn. It's a white chocolate peppermint mocha blended drink. It's topped with pink whipped cream with I believe the peppermint drizzle on it, looked like some bloody brains! Love it! For the taste, there's a pretty strong mocha coffee flavor to it with the subtle sweetness of white chocolate and the subtle peppermint taste. A lot of times, peppermint flavor things border on the line of tasting like ingesting toothpaste, so I really appreciated the balance of flavors here. I definitely needed the pick me up from the coffee and it had me zuted for the rest of the day. Good stuff! Definitely will head back to try some more of their drinks and looking forward to seeing what they have in store for the holiday season! read more

I've visited this place three times, and while I want to like it more than I actually do, the experience has been pretty inconsistent. As a horror fan, I have to say that the decor is absolutely amazing. But the issues start when you stop looking and start ordering. Unfortunately, the customer service is seriously lacking. Out of the three times I've been, only one visit was actually enjoyable. The other two were disappointing -- the staff was cold and inattentive, almost like you were bothering them by being there. And then there's the drinks. This is where I struggle the most. Not only were they very low quality, but on my last visit I had a drink that was packed with artificial food coloring. So much so that it gave me a stomach infection. The dye was so intense that it took more than a week to leave my system, which I find very concerning. If you're going to use such heavy amounts of artificial ingredients, there should at least be a DISCLAIMER so people know what they're consuming. Not all bodies react the same way, and that's a serious health risk. In summary, it's a visually stunning place, but it falls short on the essentials: service and product quality. I'd only consider going back if those areas improved -- because the aesthetics alone no longer make up for another bad experience. read more

Great drinks, cool vibe but they are trifling with their hours. Constantly closing early. Out of the five times I've gone it's only been open twice. They do not update their hours online. I recently went at 8:30 pm, their business showed it was still open on Apple Maps. As soon as I got in one of the workers yelled "we're closed" so I said "oh okay, my bad, but it says you're still open online" in which she responded "no, we're closed and we've been closing at 8 for about a year" in a bothered tone. and then the person sitting next to her, perhaps the business owner, asked nicely where online did it state it was open, so she can fix it. I told her and left. But daaaang as someone who works in customer service, I wouldn't talk to a customer like that. Especially over a mistake on the business's behalf. The service was really good. It's just the cake was so stale and had a lot more frosting than actual cake. I also ordered a pirate cove and salted caramel ice latte and the pirate cove was a fnaf themed drink but it was not at all like what the menu described it as. I hardly ever almost never spit out my food but the cake was really bad. The salted caramel ice latte was really good but I don't think I'd ever come back here, respectfully.
