My family and I come here everytime we finish having dinner on main st. Unfortunately our most recent experience has left a bad taste in our mouths and you can bet I'll be contacting corporate about it after this review. We were patiently waiting in line to be helped, there were a few families ahead of us and behind us. There were three employees working, an Asian girl, a Hispanic girl and an Asian guy. When it was our turn, the Asian girl purposely skipped us and asked the family behind us what they wanted. The Hispanic girl then looked at us because we looked confused as to why we were skipped, and asked us for help. I asked if we can get a sample of the watermelon sorbet because my son wanted a cone of that but he didn't know what it tastes like, he's picky and he won't eat it if he doesn't like it so we didn't want to waste money on a whole scoop before he tried it. The employee immediately says they don't give out samples, but we CLEARLY saw them give a sample to the family in front of us. Felt a little discriminatory if you ask me. So while we were checking out, my father in law snapped a photo to get the girls name and she told her coworkers she's not sure why. I told her because I'll need it to file a complaint to coldstone and write a bad review. We did nothing to be treated like this, we stood in line talking to ourselves, our kids weren't disruptive, we weren't rude we asked for things and said please and thank you. The fact that you decided to be rude for no reason shows your company needs to train you on better customer service. We came here after dinner at 38 with another family! It wasn't crowded, and the staff was so sweet! She was patient with a ton of kids trying to make up their minds, and the location is clean and warm (in the wintertime). It is pricey but the ice cream is heavy, especially if you get one of the signature creations so even though I got a small I couldn't eat it all. Any signature creation I've ever gotten I loved. I walked in with my niece to get the Barbie ice cream. She was looking forward to it. I asked for the same ice cream as in the photo. They gave me a cone instead of a bowl like in the photo. I asked them if I could change it since she didn't ask me if I wanted the bowl. She changed it but the ice cream tasted awful at the end and they put so few sprinkles, unlike the photo. My friends and I ordered online for pick-up on Sunday night. We waited outside for 10mins, then went in to see if our order was ready. They had my friend's order, but not mine. So I asked the staff since I ordered before him. They couldn't find my order anywhere and found out they just never made it. I understood they were busy so I waited for my order to be made. There were 3 workers and they repeatedly asked for my name and verbally asked what my order was, while arguing amongst themselves AND taking other customers orders. They found the receipt and I kept offering to show them my confirmation email that has the order. I got my ice cream and walked out. To find out that they gave me the smaller size than I ordered. So I went back in to let them know and see if I could get the right size. Then the worker said when she asked me if it was a Like It, I said yeah. Then the other girl worker said "Yeah you verbally said YEAH". I don't recall ever confirming the size, and the store was really busy and loud, they were argument amongst themselves and taking other customers orders WHILE they were trying to "look for" and make my order. AND she had the receipt in her hand that had the order. I also offered to show them my confirmation order at least 6 times so I don't have to keep yelling over the chaos for them to ask me for my name over and over again. In the end, they looked at the receipt again and agreed to make another one to make up for it. After wasting mine, their own, and other customer's time trying to blame me for their mistake. By that time, the other ice creams we ordered were basically soup. I tried to be as calm as I could bc I understand it might be overwhelming when things get busy, but this whole thing got dragged on for a whole hour...over a cup of ice cream. read more

I wish I could give it more stars as the young woman that helped me was very nice. But my problem is with the COVID protocol. The same person that who serves the ice cream rings you up without washing her hands or even wearing gloves between customers. The sever/cashier goes from one customer giving them their ice cream and spoon, ringing them up, taking credit card (they don't have Apple Pay or other touch less feature) they only have one pen for signing and then on to the next customer. That is way too much risk for contamination. Washing hands at minimum between customers would be safer. read more

I visited Cold Stone Creamery last night, 6/18, and was blown away by the outstanding customer service delivered by two of their employees, Layla and a young man who I sadly didn't catch his name. From the moment I walked in, they greeted me with warm smiles and genuine enthusiasm, making me feel instantly welcome. I've been to this coldstone location a few times and it's always very busy during the night after dinner time and yesterday the line was out of the door when I came. There were only two workers taking care of the entire line. These two workers had amazing customer service and I believe Layla was the shift lead as she really took initiative. They both saw how long the line was and managed to be very nice and respectful when taking the orders and made the orders very quickly! Layla would take the orders and make them really fast while the guy would ring the party up. They both were insanely calm and friendly and I don't know how they could do it. Their dedication to ensuring every customer had a fantastic experience was evident, and it truly elevated my visit to Cold Stone Creamery to a memorable outing. These two employee are shining examples of what excellent customer service should be, and how to work together. They deserve high praise for their exceptional work ethic and positive attitudes. This is the closest Cold Stone to us since Eagle Rock closed. We have been to many locations since, and I have to say this is by far my favorite. It is spacious, close parking lot and street parking and VERY clean! It was very noticeable as we walked in. The toppings, chocolates, etc are nicely organized and put in jars and even unopened chocolates makes me feel better that they aren't just sitting forever. Another thing I noticed is that all the waffle cones/bowls are also in large containers and not just sitting out on the counter. Great Job Alhambra Cold Stone! They started cleaning all around us at 9:40 and briefly turned off the lights at 9:50. You shouldn't turn on and off the lights for safety reasons. We just walked out afterwards.
