This is everything we tried, apple, fritter, plain, glazed, donut, cheese, danish.

Quick drive-by after we had lunch downtown saw the word bakery and wanted to stop for a second. It was a little afternoon so their cases were kind of empty which is a good sign because that means they got hit earlier in the day. The service was kind and quick The building is a standard donut shop, and I imagine they make a mean breakfast sandwich ! Plain, glazed donut, was almost melted in your mouth soft, I still prefer Randy's, but this was a really good one. Apple fritter was delightful, I love the combination of all the crunchy little bits, and then the crazy soft center . Cheese danish would've been better if it had been heated up, but the pastry had a great flavor and the cheese filling was perfect .

No-frills neighborhood donut shop serving classic donuts and bear claws. This small business doesn't have a website and doesn't make any specialty donuts. Parking is located in the rear and shared with the adjacent Mexican restaurant. In addition to donuts and coffee, they also make sandwiches and breakfast items. This place feels like a blast from the past with its pressed lettering menu. I ordered a donut and a bear claw. I'm not sure if it's cash-only, but we paid in cash, and the lady was nice enough to discount a few cents to make it an even $5. For a neighborhood shop, it wasn't bad and it's good to support local businesses. Was it the best? I would rank it in the same sphere as other mom-and-pop donut shops.

Walked in around 9AM on a Sunday and got helped immediately by the sweet couple. Of all the donuts I got, I ate only an apple fritter and old fashioned glazed. Both were good, but not outstanding as the apple fritter was a bit greasy and I would have liked more glaze on the old fashioned.

Amazing old fashioned donut! Place is a little worn down but who cares if the food is good.

Talk about a hidden gem! I was going for a walk to simply take a walk because why not. When I saw a line coming out of this building. It was early and I just had to check it out. The first thing I noticed was the CASH ONLY sign, so I went across the street and got a $20 out of the ATM and was changed $3 for it at the laundry mat. Once I got the money I went back across the street to get in line. My order was simply a bacon cheese and egg croissant sandwich, and a glaze donut. If you are in the area please stop by for breakfast. You won't be able to find this place on Grubhub or DoorDash but it's worth the trip. I can only image it's a cute little couple that owns the place. The women who greets you has a smile as big you can even see it behind her eyes. Not to mention this place is beyond cheap eats. The sandwich was 5.50 and the donut was 1.25 so I paid the full ten leaving the rest for a tip. They have a full breakfast menu that I forgot to take a picture of. The croissant was greasy my baked, the eggs light and fluffy, the bacon was crispy yet complemented the the sandwich well. I have to admit I've been back to this place more then once since I found it. If you are in the area please stop by they are open 5:30a-5pm daily. Parking isn't not idea as it is downtown so you'd ended up parking on the street. The wait isn't long so you'd couldn't illegally parked and be okay!! But do not take my word for it. Haha

Ordered several donuts, pastries, and an egg & cheese breakfast sandwich. Everything is incredibly fresh and delicious. So many options. Service is fast and friendly. The environment is clean and welcoming. A wonderful experience; would recommend to anyone.

This corner cash-only bakery offers excellent priced donuts and coffee. Great option if you're looking for something simple. Apple fritter plus a plain black coffee to dunk it in is perfect. They have some savory meals and teas as well. Been meaning to stop by for ages, yesterday was finally the day. Will probably pop in again, especially at such a short walkable distance for me.

Cute corner breakfast stop! Had an alright selection of donuts, but more variety with their sandwiches, coffees, and smoothies. I came in and asked for a bagel with cream cheese, but they had unfortunately run out. Got the croissant instead -- which was huge -- and was pretty happy with it. It was light, buttery, and fresh-baked, and 100% reasonably priced. Overall glad to have come here.

I drove past 3 donut shops on my way to work this morning debating if I wanted donuts or some French toast sticks from one of those chain fast food places. My last chance for a stop for breakfast and those sugar energy balls was Colonial Bakery. I was able to turn into a parking lot next to Colonial's and the Mexican restaurant and find parking no problem. Colonial was pretty busy this morning but service was quick and easy with 2 Asian ladies behind the counter. I hit them up for 3 apple fritters for my BFFs at work and I and the cost was only $3.70. Not bad for 3 pretty good size individually bagged fritters. I've had bigger and more tastier apple fritters elsewhere and closer to home, but the fritters here weren't too bad and hit the spot. They had plenty of other donuts in the display and seems like they sell regular burgers for lunch and also bagels. Another donut shop in the not so great area on LB with some pretty good eats. I don't know about all that VEGAN talk from the others...but if you're consuming VEGAN DONUTS...I think you better go to a vegetarian restaurant or bakery. DONUTS FTW!!!!!

Amazing Service! Yummy donuts, breakfast and sandwiches. Super lovely and amazing staff. Boba drinks are so good.

Nonna Mercato holds a special place in our hearts. They are like members of the family at this…read morepoint because we are there every week reliably. At least a few times. Nonna has become our go to bakery, our sweet retreat, and one of our favorite local brunch spots. Now, they even have happy hour and, during the summer, dinner (Nonna Summer Nights)! And all of the food is amazing. Seriously, truly legit! We buy bread from there each week. No more "big box store" bread you freeze. They make their bread fresh daily. They only use fresh, locally sourced ingredients with no preservatives. It's nice to look at an ingredient list and not see a paragraph for bread (and be able to pronounce all the names!). And their cupcakes and sweets. Yo, seriously so good. And the thing is, because of the ingredients they use, we don't feel heavy or overly wired after eating cake or cupcakes from them. From other places you can tell they use preservatives, refined sugars, processed ingredients. But with Nonna, you can just taste the difference. We even had them make our special cake for our wedding! We recently tried their dinner (twice!) and it exceeded expectations. Now, mind you, all of their food has always been good but our experience was amazing. Their prix fixe menu was well put together, wine pairings on point, dessert was also delicious. Our favorite was the tiramisu! Also loved the spaghattini and casarecce pastas, and entrecôte di manzo, but everything was great. Their brunch is also great, you really can't go wrong on the menu. And I think we've gone through almost all of it! Finally, (if you've stayed with me this long!) the absolute best thing about Nonna for us is the TEAM. Hands down no question. The food is good, space is a comfortable neighborhood vibe, and all that. But truly the folks here are amazing humans. Always friendly, warm, and welcoming. If the management team is reading this, you all have a great group of people there! We will definitely be back (again and again and again) and you should too!

My qualm about Nonna's is this: Baked goods already purchased cannot be eaten at dining table. So with that said, you're eating Baked Eggs with 2 small slices of bread that is not enough...and they will not let you grab a piece of bread you just bought at their bakery to dip into the egg sauce. WTH is that logic???? Honestly, not cool. And their bread is HELLA EXPENSIVE. If I'm going to buy your expensive bread and pay to sit at your table, WHY CANT I EAT THE BREAD I JUST BOUGHT? Makes no sense!! So now I make my own Baked Eggs and my own bread. I can eat as much as I want. 4/5 for Baked Eggs 1/5 for their bakery policy

On the second trip for the actual birthday pie, I picked the salted caramel b/c the group is a chocolate crowd. Third time, just wanted pie! Also sampled the cutie pies in the jar... I don't think the mini pie made it home lol. Today (#4 visit) I was craving the raspberry dream and wanted to try the apple pie. My current ranking of pie I've tried is: 1. Raspberry dream, 2. salted caramel, 3. White chocolate raspberry (cutie pie), 4. marionberry (nicely tart, full of berries but a bit dry, went well with ice cream), 5. whiskey peach (too much crust, not enough peach, not very peachy). The shop has some seating but I only saw one group seated once. I always took my pies home to enjoy. Very cute cozy bakery. My partner and I ordered 1 slice of Dubai pistachio cream cheese cake, 1 chocolate chip cookie, 1 slice of upside down German Chocolate cake, and 1 cinnamon roll with the nuts and no icing. Service was great, such a sweet young lady that helped us. Here's my review on each item: Dubai Cheesecake - pretty presentation. It was good for the most part but I think I expected more. I personally wouldn't order again. Chocolate chip cookie - very good cookie. The right amount of chocolate chips and it was really soft which I enjoy my cookies soft. I would order another. German Chocolate cake - oh my god!!! That was one of the best German chocolate cakes I've ever had. I enjoyed how moist the cake was and the nutty texture on top was next level. I would definitely order another slice. The Cinnamon roll - this was my favorite thing we ordered. This cinnamon roll was to die for! Pillowy soft and the right amount of sweetness. The roll was so good with the nuts alone that I didn't even need or use the icing we asked for on the side. This was such a delight.

Dusted with Swiss pearl sugar. Just really yummy. Saw the almond croissant. Said oh will stop again on our way out. BIG mistake. Of course they were gone by then. Opted for the sticky toffee bun. She recommended warming before eating. What a nice little treat to share with my husband after dinner! Back to the cafe. Newly added as an adjoining space was vacated next to the bakery. Industrial modern interior. Spacious with 20(?) tables. Partners opted for the 2 egg breakfast. Eggs cooked perfectly as ordered. One ordered an omelet. Beautifully made. Would make Jacques Pepin or Thomas Keller proud. Thick sliced bacon. Thick sliced multigrain toast. Small side of spring mix salad adorned with watermelon radish. Very nice entree if you're an egg lover. Shared the French fries. They're like the ones my grandma made. Thick sliced potatoes deep fried. Crispy outside. Soft inside. Brings back pleasant memories. Get these if you're a French fry fan. The mushroom dip (think French dip with variety of sautéed mushroom in lieu of beef) was GREAT! Mushroom not overcooked, Muenster cheese draped atop. Crusty baguette bread. Although the dipping sauce was vegan based, the roasted mushroom base added enough umami for a deeply flavored dip. My only complaint was the clusters of oyster mushrooms were laid horizontally following the length of baguette. Which presents well but was a bit challenging to bite through. I dunno, maybe my teeth aren't sharp. Overall an outstanding dish. So my dilemma now is when to return to try the other menu items which didn't make my first cut.
