Was expecting something more in the quality but it has become a huge disappointment. The services was great but the food doesn't. Here are the reason why: 1. The pork chop meat was over cooked and it got the burning taste. The pot egg meatload is dry. The pork meat mixed with shred pork skin doesn't have any flavor. The bean curd pork rolls is not crispy and it's too oily. The fish sauce is a little bit too sweet. The fried pork fat is soggy not crunchy as expected. 2. The appetizer fried shrimp look like it come from frozen package and it's not made fresh from scratch. 3. The egg roll that brought out look like it got beat up some how. Overall, with the price tag maybe I can't expect more from it. By the way, I got the bitter taste after leaving the restaurant. Look like msg have been used within the foods. Location tip: It's tucked away in the Ocean Supermarket plaza and easy to miss from the street. After you pass Omega restaurant in the plaza, look toward the far back. It's a bit hidden, but worth finding. Cơm Tấm Thịt Nướng, Bì, Chả, Tàu Hũ Kỳ - A solid cơm tấm plate with a nice variety of protein. The nước mắm was well-balanced and reminded me of homemade versions. Savory, sweet, and just the right amount of punch. There aren't many cơm tấm spots in Milpitas, so this is a welcome addition. Cơm Gà Rôti - Another solid choice. The chicken was slightly overcooked, making the meat a bit tough, but the flavor came through nicely. The sauce leaned sweeter than I prefer, but it still paired well with the dish. Phở (Tái and Bò Viên) - I kept it simple and ordered just the tái (raw beef slices) and bò viên (meatballs). The tái was surprisingly tender after cooking--softer than what I usually find elsewhere, which was a pleasant surprise. The bò viên were fairly standard. The broth was on the sweeter side. There is a hint of lemongrass, a little of five spices, charcoal grilled smell, and perfect marinated. Nuoc mam (fish sauce) is perfect too, very well-balanced. No clue what the bad reviews are about, but honestly, the bún thịt nướng and phở đặc biệt were exceptional! They have good portion sizes & did not skimp on the meat. I ordered the bún thịt nướng, and the meat were seasoned so well. It is the closest thing I had in a while that comes close to the ones in Vietnam.
