    Calamari platter
    Brenda M.

Loved the place, very good food. Went there 3 times, food was always fresh, fast service, very friendly staff. The place is big, lots of room , very clean. We had the fried. Scallops, clam strips, fish tacos, calamari, corn on the cob and chicken fingers. Everything fried to perfection, seafood was superb. We will come here again.

Food was excellent and service was great very clean. Had so much took most of it home to Pittsburgh for the next day

How do I start with the hair in the food? Or the 40 minute wait? Oh no I forgot to add the only thing ok was the Mac and cheese which was Kraft. The food was cold and the orders messed up. I felt like I was in a fancier but less tasty McDonald's. The desert was also ok... jk it was stale and I found a piece of paper in the food.

I have been a huge fan of Cooke's for many years. Easily the best fried clams you will ever eat. The platter is huge and easily feeds multiple people. It's changed over the years and is an actual table service restaurant now with a full bar. The lobster bisque and clam chowder are fantastic. Highly recommend!

    Baked Stuffed Scallops Scrod

This was a suggestion from a friend. And I'm going to give them love. I went with the baked stuffed scrod and scallops. It was very good. Maybe not as flavorful as I expected but good. The cole slaw was incredibly tasty. I will say this though. My buddy's fried clam strips were phenomenal. That's what earned them the 4th star here. These were fresher and more lightly breaded which I really like. Next time I'm going that route.

    Haddock

Omg the seafood was delicious! So fresh and cooked to perfection! We longed for the experience of whole belly clams since we just moved back to MA from PA. They were just as we had remembered. So sweet and tender. The Haddock was also good. The service was perfect and the ambiance was geared towards family, but the noise level was quite normal. It was a great visit. We will return very soon.

Food is overpriced to be honest. It also comes out of the kitchen slow. Kind the same restaurant politics as places like the Chart Room.

This is my family's go-to spot. It's rare for us to go down the Cape each summer without going to Cooke's. We love it.

The lobster bisque was disappointing and quite bland, especially given the hype. We also ordered a cup of clam chowder and it barely had any clams in it and was also very bland. I ordered a lobster roll and a separate order of onion rings as well. The lobster roll was just okay , the lobster itself was cooked well, but there wasn't a lot of meat for the price, so it didn't feel like a great value. The onion rings were fine but nothing special. The setup is more of a quick-service style: you order at the counter, get a buzzer, sit down, and then go pick up your food when it's ready. It's convenient enough if you're looking for something fast and casual, but between the bland bisque and chowder and the average lobster roll, it's not a place I'd go out of my way to visit again. I probably wouldn't stop here next time.

I made an extremely sound decision, I do believe. It elevated my salad, enjoyment, and dining experience overall. :) Hardy har har, Peter Joseph! I dined with company; a companion; my fellow diner ordered the summer garden pasta. Their experience was also savory. Otherworldly, almost, even. The pasta had been boiled to perfect temperature, clearly. And the summer squash, zucchini, cherry tomatoes, and parmesan chz were absolutely savory -- not to mention that fresh ass garlic. Yes, this establishment is inside of a hotel/resort, kind of. But you should eat here, friends, you won't be disappointed. The waitstaff was excellent, and also kind. No one here was annoying. Easily good enough for searing which is more than most people do anyways. This fish market earns my admiration for a serious dedication to the art of selling only the freshest and best to their customers. But the real treat here is the lobster roll, which ranks among the best I have ever tasted. A lobster roll shouldn't be a fancy affair, if it is ur doin it wrong. $13 earns you a small bag of Cape Code potato chips with a hot dog bun improbably stuffed with a half pound of lobster meat. This isn't some dressed up "lobster salad" nonsense to cover up old or frozen meat, this is the real deal with only the slightest hint of mayonnaise to go with the sweet taste of very fresh lobster. The lobster roll as it should be: fresh, simple, unassuming. It goes without saying, but I've seen too many people get fooled: You should make it a rule never to have a lobster roll at a place that doesn't have any live lobster on the premises (look for the tank). With the recent burning down of James Hook & Co, I wish I could find a tasty Lobster roll with this level of simple freshness in Boston.
