I wanted to buy a fried turkey for Christmas, but wanted to know if Copeland's fried turkey was a good buy or not since the cost was quite pricey. So I got the Pilgrim Platter just to try it out (before buying a whole fried turkey), that includes 2 oz of the fried turkey and other sides that came with the meal. I also ordered the spinach and artichoke dip, and buffalo rolls. First off the turkey was dry and wasn't at all what I had expected. It tasted like the turkey had been refrigerated and warmed over (I never tasted any cajun seasoning on the turkey or anything). The spinach dip was tasteless - like just spinach and water (no cheese) - no joke! The buffalo rolls were tolerable with the sauces. Needless to say I was very disappointed and was looking for better tasting food. From the taste of the fried turkey on the platter - I will NOT ever think about buying a fried turkey from Copeland or anything else for that matter. The food was terrible! read more

The wait here was way too long, the restaurant wasn't packed or busy and we waited for 45 min. They won't even put your name on the list until everyone in your party is there. Something that rarely happens in our family happened here! Everyone from ages 10-42 found something on the menu that they LOVED. To top it off, the service was excellent. The ribeye was superb! My son smothers every piece of meat with A1 Sauce, but ate most of this one without it. Other reviews are accurate in the portions. We shared the meal and we were both stuffed. My youngest ordered shrimp and mashed sweet potatoes. She proudly told the server that it was the best meal EVER. If we hadn't returned the following day (steaks are $19.99 on Wednesdays), we would have rated it a 5. The service was attentive, but not intrusive both nights. It was a comfortable atmosphere even with children both nights. The steak, however, was not the same. It was juicy, but very bland. Very disappointing. I will have to say, tho, that my daughter said that the mashed sweet potatoes were still the best EVER. read more

I recently visited Copelands Cumberland. I was disappointed in my experience. I even wrote the company at the website and no one even replied to my email. So . . .my steak (Top Sirloin) was fab. The loaded baked potatoe was a great choice for a side. However, my side of mixed vegies were fridge cold even after requesting that they book cooked twice so they would be a little soft. When replaced they were wonderful but it makes you wonder why they couldn't just do that in the first place. The blackened catfish comes with a filet and you can order half of a filet for an additional $3.50. The catfish was cooked so hard that it may have well been fried. It was very dry. Our server - OMG she was horrible. She obviously is working to be working and not because she enjoys her job. She was slow (took a half hour to get some wine). It was after 9PM and she gave us a drink menu with drink specials from 6PM-9PM. ??? I had to ask her 3 times for a refill on my water and she walked by 2 times after me asking the first time without a refill. When I think of Copelands I would think upscale, good food and great service. I didn't experience any of that. I could have spent my money at Houston's, Pappadeaux or even Outback. I would not recommend this location. I have not been to any others in ATL. read more

Honestly, I only came to this place to watch the Saints game. The service was extremely slow. Took the server 20 mins to come attend me. Didn't even come ready with a menu. Had to wait an extra 25 mins to get the drink order and it wasn't even complete. Got a beer and it was room temp. Never brought me the glass of water I ordered. The dish I got was heated in the microwaved, it didn't look or taste freshly made. The only good thing was the Red Velvet Cheesecake. Honestly, i would not recommend this place. read more

The food at this restaurant truly exceeded my expectation. Personally, I don't really care for Cajun/Creole food, but we were there for brunch to celebrate my godmother's birthday. Went here with a group of friends for Sunday brunch and was very pleased with the experience! They wait is somewhat long starting at 11:00am. There is a large selection of both breakfast and lunch items and I enjoyed the omelet station the best. The trays at the buffet were always full which is a plus and the areas around the buffet were kept clean. The food is all very rich so come hungry. Also the French toast was awesome! You cant have alcohol until 12:30 so no bloody mary or mimosa if you come early. Our waitress was nice and very attentive. They also have live jazz music. Will definitely go back! read more

Dishonest. We were at another restaurant nearby and pressed for time. On the phone we were advised there was zero wait time. Arrived five minutes later to be told 30-45 minutes. We Visited Copeland's for the very first time while visiting Family while in Atlanta I loved the decor and our waitress Astra was phenomenal her professionalism was impeccable and she would be the reason I would visit again. I ordered the Marilyn Crab Cake shrimp Pasta and I was very disappointed. The Crab cakes where NOT seasoned and the Resturant used Salad shrimp in the pasta Instead of a regular sized shrimp!! But why? it was seriously disappointing I would have preferred 3 jumbo shrimp instead of salad shrimp and they used Angel hair pasta instead of fettuccini that would have held the Alfredo's sauce way better they seriously played them selves with this dish completely disappointed read more

Not good service on being seated. We received a beeper to let us know when table was ready and left our name. We noticed people being seated after we arrived. We finally asked when we could get a table and they had no record of us checking in. Beans and rice were very salty and cold. Gumbo did not have much flavor to sauce (like water). Had my rehearsal dinner for my wedding at Copelands of Kennesaw. The food was cold and had no flavor. We had one server for almost 30 people. I was extremely disappointed because when we normally come it's great and that's what I expected for our rehearsal dinner. This location is fabulous! I visited on a Friday night. It wasn't crowded and we were seated quickly after having to prompt the hostess to seat us. It wasn't her night apparently. I ordered the blackened salmon after our waiter, AJ provided me with great suggestions. AJ was extremely polite, attentive and friendly. The food was awesome! The ambiance was perfect for a date. Low music, dim lighting and they had karaoke, which surprised me! I will make the drive to come to this location rather than visit the one near me in Kennesaw. Copeland's has always been a restaurant that I've really liked. I took my Mother here this past Sunday for Mother's Day and it was extremely packed. From my recollection it is typically this way in Mother's Day and Father's Day as well, since we have been in previous years. I love their Sundays brunch. Prices were inflated were Mother's Day of course but typically brunch prices run about $27.95. The selection of food they have is amazing and I must say it is well worth the price. I ordered a mimosa to go along with my brunch and it was amazing. Well mixed and of decent quality. However, they aren't bottomless and run about $9.99 per glass just a FYI. You never have to worry about parking at this restaurant because there are plenty of spaces to go around. Monday-Saturday they have their regular Copeland's menu out where you can order anything from their delicious pasta to a nice salad. It can get pricey so that is something to be aware of. Other than that I give Copeland's a two thumbs up. read more

The hostess staff was very nonchalant and nonproductive. The restaurant had tons of tables but we kept being told that it was a shift change. Once we were seated our serve Chris made the experience more enjoyable. He was efficient, attentive and it was only his 3rd day.
