Decided to have a little me time on a Friday evening after work. Walked in and able to be sat with no problem. I just missed happy hour that ended at 6pm but my lemon drop was not pricey at all. I ordered the hot chicken and beignets and it was delicious. I didn't eat the toast that the chicken comes in cause it was just too much bread along with the beignets. It honestly felt like 2 separate meals to me, but both aspects were tasty. The environment was pleasant. I was able to sip my drink and enjoy my book peacefully. Love the whole vibe here. It's comfy, trendy, clean, and moody. It's probably best to make a reservation. My partner and I were there early on a Saturday night, and it was a constant stream of people coming and going. The service was quick and everything came out just as ordered. Now, the food. I like good food. I dislike paying for food that I make better at home. I'm giving 4 stars because of one meal. Perhaps it's something that will evolve as they get feedback and have more customers reviewing the items on the menu. First, we had the small charcuterie. It can with 3 types of meat, 3 types of cheese, 2 slices of bread, pickled onions, bread & butter pickles, some blueberry jam and pumpkin seeds. Perfect for 2 people as an appetizer. For the main meal, my partner had the fish & chips. It was a good sized filet, a stack of fries, and some very good house made tartar sauce. Here's the one that was off - the shrimp and grits with mushrooms. If you are used to authentic (or even close to authentic) shrimp & grits, please spare yourself the disappointment. There is no sauce and no flavor to this dish. The mushrooms, along with the very few pieces of bacon, were what saved this dish. I was pretty disappointed. All the food I saw wisking by looked very good though, and I'll likely come back and give brunch a try. read more

We had a reservation today for our 13th year Anniversary. My husband reserved this spot. Its is contemporary, warm, and modern. The service was perfect and the food was absolutely delicious hands down. Thank you definitely got the upscale southern vibes. The drinks and pasta were delicious. More casual than expected but still a nice atmosphere.

We went here for the chicken wings but they were out of chicken wings. I got the Nashville hot chicken sandwich and fries. The bun was hard, chicken had no flavor and all the breading came completely off of the chicken breast. Fries were cold and stale. My wife and I recently had one of the best dining experiences we've had in a while at Copper & Sage. The atmosphere was perfect for a night out--great music, thoughtful lighting, and a welcoming vibe from the staff that made the evening memorable. We ordered a few standout dishes: my wife had the hot chicken and beignets, which we both absolutely loved. It was definitely a highlight of the night. I decided to try something a bit different and went with the tagliatelle, and I'm so glad I did. You could taste the quality in the fresh, house-made noodles--significantly better than most Italian restaurants I've tried. I also ordered an old fashioned, which was made perfectly; it might just be my new favorite spot for cocktails. The service was top-notch--attentive, knowledgeable, and friendly. The portion sizes were also very reasonable for the price, especially knowing that everything, from the noodles to the sauces, is made in-house. Had high hopes which were unrealized. Went in for brunch. It was not busy and restaurant had a nice ambiance. Our server was friendly. But that is where it stopped. In spite of it not being busy, it took 45-60 min for our breakfast to arrive. When the food came out, it was MEH at best . There are better alternatives. read more

Nice ambience and friendly staff. The crispy green beans had a nice bit of Cajun spice, maybe a bit too salty though. The old fashioned was very smooth. The grits were a highlight, almost like a soufflé. Shrimp was also well cooked. A little heavy on the sautéed mushrooms for me. The chicken was too spicy for my wife, but not for me. The beignets were my wife's favorite, nice flavor and sauce. We will be back to try some other dishes. read more

We stopped by Copper & Sage since we had some gift cards from Christmas. We ordered the breaded green beans as an appetizer and decided to share the kale salad and the NY steak and Fritz for our dinner. The green beans were pretty good, but the breading would fall off when we tried to dip them into the sauce. The kale salad was amazing and probably the best thing we had. It was super fresh, and the vinaigrette dressing was really tasty. Our least favorite was probably the NY steak and Fritz. The steak was just average for a NY steak, and the chimichurri they topped it with was really heavy-tasting of red onion. So we ended up scraping that off, but unfortunately that flavor of the red onion really seeped into the steak. So if you're not a fan of onions, you'll definitely want to make sure to ask them to leave that part off, or at least bring it on the side. The fries with the steak were good and overall it was a nice dinner. The restaurant seemed super chill and our service was good. read more

I live in a neighborhood very close to where this restaurant is. I was so excited when they announced it was coming and even more excited to go when they opened. Finally to have some restaurants in the Goodyear area. We went on a Sunday evening and we seated right away. It was not busy at all. Upon walking in the vibes looked upscale and overall very welcoming. We got seated in a room off to the side that felt like I could be in someone's very well decorated dining room in their home . The servers walking around in button-down collared shirts. But then one of the hostess was wearing a crop top shirt with her bellybutton and the entirety of her back showing. Great for her to feel comfortable wearing that to work but did not at all feel like it was in line with what the rest of the ambiance provided. Very tacky if I must say for this type of restaurant. But I'm not there for the fashions, I came for the food. And the food completely missed the mark. Fried green tomatoes were overpriced for the quality and quantity. If you're only going to give me five slices of tomatoes at that price they had better be good. They were not. The breading did not stick together at all and they were completely bland, soggy and flavorless. We ended up nibbling at the basil leaves it was garnished with because they were truly the only source of flavor on the dish. My partner and I split a Nashville hot sandwich and a catfish po'boy. The heat on the Nashville sandwich was pleasant; although you're getting heat with little actual flavor. The catfish was completely mushy in the center. The breading was crisp but the fish itself was complete mush inside that I actually felt too grossed out to finish eating it. All of the fries on the plate were hard and stale, also inedible. My friend ordered the hot chicken and beignets and she too was disappointed. None of the breading actually holds together with the chicken, so as you cut into it you're left with a crumbly mess. The beignets were hard and stale, not soft and fluffy like you would expect. Service was not great either. At one point while waiting for our food the manager took ours water pitcher to refill it and never returned with it. Once our food got dropped off not a single person came by to check on us until it was time to bring our check. While eating the hostess with the bellybutton on display was cleaning the table next to us, spraying the table with the cleaner. What a nice experience to smell and inhale the cleaning supplies while noshing on my appetizers. Overall a completely disappointing experience, especially for the price point of some of their items. I would return back in a few months to see if they've improved but until then I'd recommend going elsewhere. read more

I was excited to try this new restaurant, was a date night for me and hubby, unfortunately was utterly disappointed with the food, and have zero desire to return. There aren't too many menu options to choose from, I ordered the fish and chips and the only part that was good with flavor was the garlic flavored Fries. The fish was over fried and lacked flavor. My husband ordered chicken sandwich and that too lacked flavor, nothing special just average. Ordered a cocktail called strawberry hill, was good - however for the price expected a bigger glass instead we were served a mini glass which seemed odd to me. This restaurant opened in October of 2024 so they haven't experienced our very warm weather. Unfortunately, there are no window coverings which leads to the hot sun to shine in. Another thing to note is if you have a larger party they will seat you in the room to the right of the host station. The acoustics are horrible. I couldn't hear my table mates but I could hear the very noisy patrons across the room. The kitchen didn't put my order in with my guests so I took it to go so as to not have them wait on me. The food looked good as I did have a couple of bites that were shared. My meal was comped and the waitress was nice, very apologetic and attentive. We asked to speak to the manager to offer our suggestions but they didn't come to our table. Overall, if I return to Copper and Sage, it will most likely be in the winter. The summer will be unbearable in half of the restaurant. read more

Fiancé orders Mac and Cheese and Grilled Chicken Caprese Sandwich. Mac and cheese was very bland (like no flavor), received wrong sandwich the first time; 20 minutes later she received the correct sandwich (also not great). The fries description is misleading...some comes with cheese and seasoning and some don't! Went there for the first time last night and I left feeling like I never need to go back. Which is unfortunate because we so desperately need good spots in Goodyear that aren't chains. First impressions: The ambiance has the potential to be so cozy and nice but unfortunately they had every light bulb on at the highest setting, making it feel like a department store or a cafeteria rather than a nice dinner option. Personal preference, but please dim your lights. The front host girls were so sweet and welcoming but for some reason they sat the 3 of us in a semi-private room with large parties so it was loud and echoey. Seemed to be plenty of booths open, I don't know why they stuck us in there. I ordered the fish and chips which was basically just one long piece of burnt breaded fish. It was weird. Wouldn't order again. The other food my party ordered was also mediocre at best. I have no comment on the cocktails since I am pregnant and didn't drink. Service was slow and our server seemed grumpy. Not sure why. But she never came back to see if we needed anything (which we did) and our water bottle never got refilled. I really wanted to like this place. This was the second time visiting the restaurant thinking the first time was just an off night. The food just isn't there at all. When you have dishes for $40+ you shouldn't have to ask for salt and pepper to taste something. Food was bland and the seafood was so fishy we had to send it back. The food itself was fine (I ordered the scallops), but the overall experience was uncomfortable. The bartender, Jordan, seemed out of it--his eyes were glazed over, I could smell marijuana on his breath, and he spent the evening staring at women at the bar in a way that made the atmosphere feel awkward. Honestly, it was unsettling. On top of that, I saw who I assume was a manager (Heather, if I caught her name right) publicly scolding an employee in front of everyone. It came across as unprofessional. I'd noticed her doing something similar on an earlier visit when the restaurant was still new, and at the time I figured it was just first-month stress. But clearly it's a pattern. At the end of the day, there's just too much drama here. I came to enjoy a meal, not to witness workplace issues. I won't be returning. read more

Went to their opening, great food. Posted a picture of their brownie dessert which was awesome. Brussel sprouts roasted instead of fried! Great find. The bacon wrapped dates are better than Scottsdale steakhouse I was at previous week. Did some Restaurant Week dinners then went here in the same 10 days, and this was by far the best food overall, and it was not super expensive. Strong recommendation here. We had a reservation for 7 PM on New Year's Eve. We did not get seated until 745PM, and by 9PM we had only had two glasses of wine and a Moscow mule. No food whatsoever to include appetizers after two hours! Once again, many apologies flowed from the staff, but we decided to throw in the towel and give up. Of course it was too late to go anywhere else because it was New Year's Eve and we did not have a reservation anywhere other than Copper and Sage. Our wonderful evening was ruined .
