Heart Attack or The Cure. Which do I prefer? I opt for The Cure to a hangover I don't have but kind of want when I consider what this massive portion of food could do to remedy it. My family and I came here yesterday. It's by the courthouse so naturally I knew it was busy... but we were willing to wait :) The wait staff were very nice, they acknowledged us right away. We waited about 10 minutes for a table and once one opened up, the shuttled us to the upper level booth. We browsed the huge menu, made our selections and chatted while we waited. The wait time was noticeable BUT in all fairness, I knew the back end of the house was busting their butts to get delicious food out... so I really can't complain. When our food did come out, they were all steaming hot. The coffee was strong and fresh, and we were all happy campers. My stepson got the Hook up, my husband got the mushroom, avocado, pepper omelet, and I got the potato and tomato omelet. Ok, went here for the first time today. They had great reviews. My wife had fried zucchini sticks and a cup of split pea soup. I had the "Diablo" sandwich, which was roast beef, cheese, sautéed onions and mushrooms, tomato, lettuce and pickle on a sourdough bread. My wife really liked her zucchini. Crunchy and tasty. Although I love all of the ingredients of my sandwich, I didn't love it. The combination of sautéed veggies and tomato made the bread soggy. I don't blame the restaurant. Everything was cooked perfectly, I guess I like roast beef without everything else. The split pea did lack flavor. Not terrible, just not great. 6-10-17 i ordered a linguisa omelette with cheese, spinach and mushrooms to go (hash-browns were included). Once i arrived at home and began to eat the omelette, i noticed a hair on it. My stomach literally turned upside down. I contacted the restaurant, explained the situation and asked to speak to the manager. The waitress that answered the phone stated that "Javid", the manager was not available, so i would have to wait until Monday (6-12-17) because "Javid" was the only one "authorized" to provide a refund to customers. I thought this was odd, however, i did as suggested. Due to my work schedule, Wednesday (6-14-17) was the soonest that i could make it to the restaurant so i decided to call ahead of time, thinking that this would expedite the process. The first waitress that answered refused to give me her name as a person of reference, said "hold on", then hung up the phone in my face. I was appalled. I called back and a different waitress answered. I requested to speak to the manager. Once the "manager" picked up the receiver, with a heighten voice and stated, "yes, what do you want?" I politely asked his name. He responded, "look i'm busy, what do you need help with?", completely disregarding my question. I explained that i "needed" his name so i can identify whom i was speaking with. I asked his name twice more, when finally he said, "look i don't have time for this. I'm cooking so i'm hanging up!"...And yes, he hung up in my face. Talk about substandard, piss-poor customer service! So i arrived at the restaurant, with the moldy, hair-infested omelette from 4 days ago and asked to speak to Javid. The waitress that assisted me said, Javid is not here but his father is." And guess who walks up...yep the rude, angry piece of crap that hung up the phone in my face, AKA "Javid father". I said, "you were disrespectful to me and hung up the phone in my face about 15 mins ago." He just looked at me. I gave him the moldy, hair-infested omelette and asked a refund. He said, "where the hash-browns?" I said, "i ate them." He said "well im taking them out of the price so ill give you $8". I did not have the energy to debate so i took the measly $8 (even though he owed me more) with the intentions of NEVER going back to the "Tarnished Pan Patio". In my 10+ years of experience of serving, I understand that the food industry can be busy however I came in on July 5, 2021 at 1pm. I waited approximately 20 minutes before seating (which is fine). I then waited an hour to receive my order while a couple that had came in after us was served before me and I the server forgot my glass of lemonade after asking if I wanted to try it. I asked an employee for the status of my order (he was a tall guy with a beard maybe a manager or owner) and seconds later my plates arrived with the server Lill D stating with an attitude, "Oh, you guys told them you were sitting here long." Due to my experience of serving, I noticed my plates were very hot and were sitting there for awhile before being served but my food was not an accurate temperature it should of been served at. The male employee who I spoke with came to my table and stated that he has given us a discount on my order, which I appreciate. Once I was going to pay, the server Lill noticed my check and discount percentage and said, "How did you guys get that? He must really want you guys out then or me."
